As a long time user of deskscapes. 11 works just as a good as all the earlier versions, but, and there's always a but. It only happened once, I stalled it on my newly install win11 (version 8 didn't want to work) the background froze. The right click wouldn't even bring up the familiar configure menu. Had to reboot to get it working again. It only happened once so I hope that was it.

Nothing works. Software is useless, as far as I can tell. I want to get rid of it, but I can't uninstall it... and I can't delete it from my computer. It's just there, and has no intention of letting me send it away.

Love the background animations, and the variety of available ones.

I can hardly express my disappointment.
The in-app editor is used for creating a Dream file. I create, and it works.
Then the b****y DeskScape app won't play the video because some codec is missing?!
It made the file itself!!
Talk about disappoint. It's like if I thought my dad would be offering me a new car for Christmas, only to find a dead pony in the garage.
I love for the most part Stardock's apps, though, an unsolicited requester popped up asking me to review Deskscape - and I decided to react on it.

It is an excellent resource for keeping a cluttered desktop orderly.

Products are great! Very user-friendly to setup and configure. They really add a lot to my experience working in the Windows 11 Pro environment.

I get tired of boring old screens. With Stardock I'm in charge of what I see, not some committee of the bland.

I love Deskscapes - using videos as wallpaper seems a bit resource heavy tho so I mainly use static ones -

Excellant product. Deskscape's wallpaper editing outpaces Windows 11's capabilities. Downloading Wallpaper from inside the software is convenient. And reasonably-priced.

Major issues with the install, flaged as malware and when you need help, their service is non existant.

I have been a customer of Stardock since 1998. Over the years I have used many of their products and Deskcscapes in one of my most used right now. after Start11 and of course where I started, with Windowblinds.

Creates a beautiful animated desktop. When you're working on a confuser all day long, it's nice to have a animated desktop to take your mind off of things if just for a moment.

My review is for Stardock's Deskscapes app. It does what it says on the tin -- pretty low CPU usage, animated backgrounds. Lots of backgrounds included, plus you can download and add your own.

A wide selection of high quality wallpapers animated and unanimated. It's outstanding

After having compatibility issues on my system (I had a very strange setup, not their fault) with most of Object Desktop, I requested a refund. The refund completed within 2 hours with no questions asked.

Deskscapes causes PC to hang occasionally. Prevents screen lock/screen saver.

I've been using it for about 2 months now on Windows 11. It's exactly everything I was wanting. I'm insanely happy with it. I liked the previous Windows 10 start menu, but the additional features like making the background 100% black was something I am so happy with. I just love it
