Great service provided for my recent MOT
Great service for my recent MOT, apart from initial hiccup whereby my appointment was amended by you on the day due to staff shortages. This was a shame as I had taken a day off work to be at home but I appreciate that sometimes there are last minute unforeseen circumstances that happen. Nonetheless, overall it feels like a very professional service.

I've been using Startech for quite a number of years as they are helpful, experienced and trusted mechanics. I would just add that last 2 cars you've worked on did not get the usual wash and air freshener you used to do as standard, is this something new and that now needs requesting?
Car was waiting 6 hours to get serviced and they ran out of time to do it on the day I booked it in for
Booked in for a service and to get an engine light checked out. I dropped the car off at 8:45am and when I asked for a rough time when it will be ready, I got told that it will be one of the first ones on the ramp as I got it in early and that it will definitely be done on the day. I have checked my car on the app and it was only moved at 3:25pm. I called at 5pm to check the status and got told that it’s only just been finished working on, to 15min later getting another call which said that the car is actually still on the ramp and it won’t be ready till tomorrow. All I bought it in for was a routine service. Really disappointed with the lack of communication about the car all day and the false information. When I asked for a courtesy car I got told there’s a 4 week wait too ! Really disappointed and my past experiences have been underwhelming. I don’t recommend using unless you want to be played around.

a fantastic service from the time i walked into reception,very warm welcome from dizzy,so nice to get a welcome like that these days,i had a dampner fitted on back off side of my jaguar xe,done very quickly they also did a quick safety check on car no charge for that,what a lovely gesture,cant praise ziggy enough,ill be back.

Really unhappy with the service I received from this garage. The work didn’t feel professional at all, and instead of properly fixing the issue, it seemed to create more problems and extra costs for me.
The whole experience was stressful and frustrating, and communication wasn’t helpful when I tried to sort things out. I also struggle to understand how there are so many 5-star reviews here, because my experience was nothing like that.
I’d honestly recommend people think carefully and look at other options before leaving their car here.

I took my old Mercedes in for a brake pipe fault. Amanda made me feel welcome and bought me a coffee and booked me a taxi. A few days later the car was repaired and valeted and I am very glad that I can trust this garage to get my car back on the road. Thanks to all the team at Star Tech

Fantastic customer service as always
I have been using Star Tech for a number of years now for both my BMW’s and Mercedes-Benz.
They’ve always been professional, knowledgeable, and nothing is too much trouble.
This extended recently when I had a warning light on my car and I was due to be driving to the airport, I was concerned if it would damage the engine. I turned up without an appointment and knowing of my predicament, Ricky and the team jumped into action and sorted this out for me. I very much doubt a main franchise dealer would act in this way!
It’s always very nice to have the continuity of the same staff each time I visit.
On top of all that I’ve mentioned, there is also a real genuine feeling that any work carried out is necessary and not just changed to make money.
I wasn’t aware, but Startech even offer a payment plan if you have an unexpected repair, which further enhances the fantastic service they offer.
I have recommended a few friends who now use Star Tech, and they are as impressed as I am.

Great job and fantastic savings
I was quoted by Hendy Jaguar Christchurch to repair my wing mirror on a Jaguar E Pace with 360 camera.
£1,570. I went to Startech and they quoted £590 and said it would take 1.5 hours. I took my jag in at 2 pm and collected at 3.30 pm fantastic service thank you.
I will be back when required.

Recently changed my car and purchased a Mercedes E300. Lovely car but had a couple of niggles that the retailer I bought it from were avoiding fixing. I've used the services before from StarTech when I had my Mercedes SLC and found them to be excellent.
StarTech offered to collect my E300 at no additional charge, wow, where does one hear that these days? My car was collected around the time arranged. I was called with updates on the work throughout the day. I was asked if I required the car back the same day, I didn't need it, it meant that the work required could carry on to the next day. It also meant I could get the StarTech technicians to do an A service on my car, saving me a trip over to get it done in a few weeks time. My car was returned at the arranged time, washed and ready to go.
Another excellent provider of a quality service and a great team for communicating with the customer keeping them informed of work being carried out. Definitely recommend putting your car in the very capable hands of the technicians at StarTech.

Early this year I bought a used BWM 1 Series in need of some serious attention. Thanks to Star Tech this car has recovered and is feeling much better. Several visits have been required to complete the necessary work and I feel that I have formed a special relationship with the staff: certainly one of trust and respect. Nothing is too much trouble and the follow through is excellent.
Finally, the price. I am constantly relieved at each invoice as my worst fears evaporate. While I own this car, it won't be going anywhere else for engineering support.

Did their best to make things right
Booked in to have my partners clutch fluid changed because of an issue when in traffic leading to clutch issues, and authorised 2 hours of diagnostic. There was a bit of lost comms so clutch fluid wasn’t checked, but service manager was very apologetic and up front about the situation and there was no charge in the end. Rare to see a garage that is so willing to admit fault and do what they can to make things right, and on that basis alone it has fully restored my faith in them.
Charged £140.00 Diagnostic for 0.98p fuse
BMW X5 broke down called AA, diagnostic confirmed fuel pump was not working, which tripped fuse & drained battery. Informed Star Tech of this but they still wanted to run a diagnostic @ £140.00. I said ok but only if you refund the money if diagnostic confirms AA's diagnostic findings, which I thought was fair, but they refused, so I refused the diagnostic. New fuel tank was fitted but car would not start. They ran diagnostic & found 0.98p fuse had blown (I had already informed them of this during several tel. conversations) but I was still charged for the diagnostic. Total rip off. Will not use again. Would advise anyone who has experienced a similar problem with Star Tech to contact The Motor Ombudsmen on 0345 241 3008.
Cost of fitting two sidelight bulbs.
In March 2019 took my ML320 to Star Tech to fit two short festoon LED bulbs. Sat waiting, until eventually I was informed the mechanic had found difficulty fitting the offside bulb, and it had become lodged in the fitting. Consequently the mechanic had to remove the offside headlight; okay, these things happen, until it came to the cost. I was charged 2 hours labour because of the said mechanics mishap.
So for fitting two sidelights costing £3.98p. 2 hrs. labour costing £138.00p Plus £28.40p VAT. The total cost for what one would say a fairly simple task, worked out to be £170.38p. Never to be visited again...
