Super place to buy and sell, cannot fault anything, good old fashioned customer service. So helpful and friendly, so easy to take your items to sell, good place to buy too. Very efficient, just brilliant all round place.

Both to sell and buy they are wonderful. Their customer service is excellent.

Really fast and efficient. Invoice, including very reasonable shipping all done on the day!. I buy small lots, and always have to check what the 'shipping' arrangements are. Some Auction houses aren't prepared to put a tiny thing into a jiffy bag and post it, and getting postage quotes separately or from expensive third parties can be a hassle. Spicers have earned this year's gold star.

Just to say many thanks for selling my camera collection. Very happy with your staff and service received upon delivery and unloading of all the gear. Please pass on my thanks to them all. Also thanks to you for your auctioneering skills I am very happy with the prices raised, they exceeded my expectations.

Spicers are great people I have bought quite a few lots from them always great purchases, they always show great honesty, integrity and wonderful service each time I win lots. One one lot they sent me some "missing" items I thought were not in the winning lot - great service.

Won't buy from Spicer's Auctioneers again. Purchased gold jewellery, which was inaccurately described. How can a ring, with a modern Sheffield assay office mark, be Art Deco? A ring described as size 'N', actually be size 'E.5'? It is time that auctioneers were held accountable for giving woefully misleading/inaccurate descriptions. No excuse for doing this with gold.

Five Star transaction-have used before and will use again.

Bought an item over the internet from this auctioneers. I paid them to ship it – they packaged it so badly that it arrived completely unusably.

But worse than this, they then denied all responsibility for their own shoddy work, and I had to waste a lot of time chasing them for a refund. Finally got a partial refund because they made getting a full refund so difficult.

Thankyou so much to Andrew for helping us to sell my father in law 's classic car. Very professional and helpful service from start to finish would highly recommend Spicer's auction.

Andrew Spicer has a huge wealth of experience and excellent judgment ; he is extremely helpful in guiding you through the valuation and sale process. The whole staff are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in and bothered about their customers, both buyer and sellers. They go the extra mile.

My first visit to a Spicers auction and I'm very impressed. I found the Staff and Owners to be pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The commision rates are competitive and the premises on the riverside make for an enjoyable auction experience. To top it all off I'm really pleased with my purchase. Shame one member of staff can ruin a whole auction house with their greed and school playground behaviour

We put some items in Spicers Auctioneers household auction in Driffield, East Yorkshire. They sold for £70. Spicers charged us £46.80 leaving us with £23.20! Daylight robbery in anyone's book. If we'd known we would have given the items to charity.
