Everything was ok until the day after we picked up the T6.1 camper and needed to contact Southlands to help fix two faults (damaged front end & broken coolant valve). Not being believed for the damaged front end was just the start of things to come and were so glad we had taken photos to prove it was done before leaving the showroom. We had to contact them 2-3 more times in the following months with other issues, resulting in us experiencing some very poor attitude from the so called expert (us not being believed, him being defensive, etc). This attitude was so bad that we could no longer contact them for the fear of not being believed. By the time the owner got involved it was too late and our trust with Southlands had gone. Thank fully, the owner done his best to put things right and for that we are grateful. If it wasn’t for this, it would have been a definite 1 star. Based on our experience, we would NOT recommend.

I recently purchased a BMW 540i here and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Even though I had a long drive to get to the dealership, it was absolutely worth it. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and never pushy. They made the entire buying process smooth and stress-free, and my new BMW was exactly as described—beautifully maintained and ready to go. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Recently bought a Vauxhall Astra from here for my son who was going to university in Nottingham. The Day after arriving in Nottingham the engine warning light came on. (the warranty company suggested that Southlands had probably switched the engine warning light off before we saw the car (see photo of the spare key that we were supplied with from Southlands)). The car is covered by Autoguard Warranties who have many excuses as to why they won't pay out they also won't pay main dealer hourly rates. After a couple of cheaper repairs by local garages (which Autoguard did pay) but didn't fix the problem I went to a main dealer who quoted me £1629.65
At this point Autoguard refused to pay out anything as it was classed as a blockage and not broken even though the blockage can't be cleared so a new part must be fitted also saying that their maximum claim is £1000.00
The main dealer also said it required new rear discs and pads, yet again see the attached photo of the key and tag that we got from Southlands.
Southlands response when I called them was, "shop around, you might be able to get it fixed cheaper elsewhere" thanks for the advice Trevor.
