Jay from Snowpoms Ragdolls was our point of contact, he was very informative, asked lots of questions to make sure we were capable of taking on a kitten. He introduced us to our beautiful little boy, whom we collected yesterday. What a delight he is and after one and a half days is already ruling the roost lol. I researched buying a ragdoll a few months back and came across Snow-Poms, who fortunately, lived not too far. I contacted them and have been dealing with Jay who has taken on his mums amazing legacy.
I have nothing but positive things to say. Brilliant communication, very carrying about their cats and who they allow to take them. Jay had allowed myself and my daughter to visit on a regular basis leading up to taking our kitten away. He has provided great advice along with regular pictures and ongoing communication. Sylvia was amazing when I was first looking to get my daughter a kitten… Very knowledgeable and very thorough in vetting and making sure that her kittens would be going to good homes..
We got Pebbles in 2019… he is just the most adorable loving cat & we wouldn’t be without him…

We booked our cat Coco with Sylvia for two weeks in September 2023, I told Sylvia that he was a fussy eater and only ate 1 brand of wet food of which I took more than enough of along with a large container of 'Dreamies' as like a lot of cats he was hooked on these. After dropping him of I left it until the next day before texting to see if he had settled in okay to wich Sylvia replied he was fine and not to worry. I did not hear anything more from Sylvia in the following two weeks.
On my return from holiday I went to pick up Coco first texting earlier in the day to give Sylvia an approximate time I'd be there, I had no reply, when I arrived Sylvia did not make an appearance but sent out a young guy to see me, I was a bit surprised that Sylvia did not make an appearance but as Coco was crying a lot as he'd heard our voices I thought it best to just get him in his carrier and get him in the car, there was no mention that there had been any problems. On getting him home I noticed immediately that he had lost a considerable amount of weight he wouldn't stop crying and was following me around the house like a dog would, I put the crying and following down to a bit of stress. For the next few days he seemed to be eating quite well but was very lethargic only leaving his bed to eat or go out to the toilet but instead of staying out in the garden he was back into his bed after a few minutes. After a week of him being like this I took him to the Vet who had seen him for a check up two weeks before I'd taken him to the Cattery. Coco had lost 700g in weight, this is after being back home a week and eating well so it must have been more, he had a raised temperature (he'd been sneezing a lot since being picked up).
The Vet gave him 3 injections and asked me to return with him next Wednesday if he doesn't improve.
Firstly I am astounded at the lack of communication from Sylvia as well as the no show when I picked Coco up as I had given her plenty of information about Coco's habits and health including that he had had cat flu as a kitten, I had also given her more than enough of his wet food and Dreamies.
Reading her reviews of her Ragdoll breading/showing/judging skills I thought it would be a good place to leave my cat, but thinking back I've not seen a single review about the Cattery side of her business?
I will not be using Sylvia's services again in the future as I do not have the slightest confidence in her ability to run a modern Cattery and so would never recommend anyone to take thier cat there either.There is also another personal thing that I picked up on about Sylvia by something she said when I first met her but can't really comment on this in this forum.

Sylvia is one the most amazing characters, I have had the pleasure to meet. Her experience in animals is second to none and her continued help and advice a god send. Ravishing Rosie our little girl is amazing and has completed our family…Anyone who has the chance to have a furry baby from Sylvia will be blessed…So worth the wait. Thank you Sylvia xxxx

I initially contacted Snow Poms about purchasing a ragdoll kitten and although they didn’t have any available at the time, Sylvia was amazingly helpful. She very kindly helped us with our search, looking through numerous adverts and other breeders on our behalf and provided a much needed ‘second opinion’ on any adverts we came across. Sylvia is truly an expert on the subject and is extremely generous in the sharing of her knowledge. Always at the end of the phone, she was very supportive and gave us newbies some much needed direction, all for no financial gain, which is very rare to find these days. We feel so lucky to have Lola, a beautiful ragdoll from Sylvia. We cannot thank Sylvia enough for all her advice and support, Sylvia is a breeder like no other I have ever come across. We have just taken delivery of 2 Snowpoms Ragdoll kittens - one female, one male.
We breed alpacas and llamas as a business so I can honestly say that Sylvia was a delight to deal with from first contact to pick-up. We were very nervous about buying kittens for the first time (we have re homed cats in the past). However, the original contact with Sylvia was good and we agreed that we would meet up prior to delivery so she could meet us and visa versa. The quality of information she provided was excellent and her love for her ragdolls shone through on meeting up. We also received regular updates whilst waiting to take delivery which was a real bonus.
On taking delivery, Sylvia went the extra mile with further information, first feed, veterinary certification, insurance (4 weeks free) and - time!
We are now the proud owner of 3 ragdolls (we have one previously) and I would recommend Sylvia and Snowpoms unreservedly.

We are so happy with our new kitten from Sylvia. She is a very healthy, confident and affectionate little cat.

This no surprise as Sylvia puts all her cats well being first. Sylvia is very knowledgeable on correctly breeding and caring for her animals. Our kitten also came with micro chip, vaccinations, pedigree certificate and insurance.

In summary if your looking for a happy affectionate cat that loves human company then a rag doll is the one. If you do decide on a rag doll then definitely make contact with Sylvia at Snowpoms

Our snowpom Joya is perfect and we are so happy she is part of our family. Sylvia invited me to meet Joya’s mum and grandmother and they were obviously very happy cats. She is so calm and kind, it’s evident that she had a happy start to life. Thank you Sylvia- I wish we had space for her sister!

I got my little Ripley from Sylvia earlier this month - a gorgeous lilac coloured Ragdoll. I’ve had experience in dealing with breeders in the past as I’ve got a few pedigree cats. Sylvia was amazing. I found Sylvia in June/July this year and reserved a kitten after speaking with her. Go on her website please - you’ll find out more about her. What I liked about Sylvia was, she kept in contact with me ever since I had reserved a kitten, she gave me pictures and she spoke with me and the best thing, her confidence and her love for her kittens. The first time I met Sylvia to see the kittens, I knew right away that I had come to the right breeder and was in good hands. Sylvia is a rare and sweet soul who is deeply caring about her beautiful fur babies and puts her heart into her work to ensure you get the very best. Her kittens are healthy, confident and well looked-after.

I collected my little Mochi yesterday and she has settled in so fast and amazingly well, that within a short time she had already used all of her facilities. Mochi is confident, gentle, and so affectionate, it's very evident the level of care that Sylvia has put into her babies to ensure that they would do well wherever they go.

Mochi came with all of her papers: her pedigree, record of vaccinations, health check signed by the vet, a free month's worth of pet insurance, as well as some free goodies. As I write this review she is happily nestled on a blanket dreaming away.

Sylvia has been there every step of the way to update me on her babies and provide advice whenever needed. Visiting her is an absolute joy, she has faced a lot of jealousy from others and people who have tried to tear her down but she stands strong. She is bundles of fun and I can assure you that her service is of the utmost best quality with everything you could want for this exciting decision to own a ragdoll cat.

Thanks to Sylvia we are now the delighted owners of an affectionate, healthy & family friendly Ragdoll kitten, we couldn’t be happier.
Pushkin arrived with all the correct paper work, a starter pack including excellent advice and some thoughtful freebies. As advised by Sylvia we took Pushkin to our vet to register her and for an independent health check, even though she came with fully certified health papers. Pushkin passed a second
time with flying colours and the vet remarked that we had one of the most wonderful examples of a Ragdoll they had come across equally in terms of her good nature and beauty.
Pushkin arrived fully house trained and happy to be handled by all 5 members of our family. Our youngest child doesn’t always read the signs correctly and yet Pushkin is so patient with her even when tired.
In all honesty Sylvia is not a people pleaser and this may be the issue with some previous reviewers. Sylvia may not reply immediately to correspondence but this is because her priority is caring for her much loved cats & kittens.
Ultimately we found Sylvia to be as good as her word and we would not hesitate to return to her for another Ragdoll. We are still in touch with Sylvia and send her regular updates, she truly cares for her cats.

Sylvia is a super professional breeder and I couldn't be happier with her service and my kitten! You can tell that she loves her cats and cares about them.

I went to pick my Yuki few days ago and everything was perfect! Upon collection of the kitten she gave me his pedigree certificate, vaccinations report, microchip, a voucher to get Royal Canin food for free and even a pack of Royal Canin food also for free!

My kitten is playful and affectionate and he's got all the signs of a kitten that has been loved and cared about.

I would recommend this breeder to anyone who'd like a healthy and loving Ragdoll.

We got a gorgeous chocolate mitted 5 year old ragdoll from Sylvia. Affectionately named Gizzie Goldilocks by Sylvia, we kept her name as it was. All her cats have adorable names. Breeding rag dolls for Sylvia is clearly a labour of love and there’s no doubt she loves each one of her cats. Sylvia has given gizzie the best care and love. All the correct paperwork is given. she is a very heathy cat and we are so happy as gizzie has changed our lives. Mine especially. Anyone would be lucky to have one of Sylvia’s beautiful rag dolls, we also recently had a kitten from Sylvia as well and he is amazing. My daughter is beside herself they are two peas in a pod! Again 5 stars fantastic breeder Thankyou Sylvia, god bless.

I am so cross reading Tamara’s review as it’s 100% not true - Sylvia doesn’t even breed dogs! I picked up my Thor today and I was so impressed with the set-up. Sylvia has many cat enclosures (indoor and outdoor areas) filled with toys and custom cat trees. When we left we had Thor’s pedigree cert, vaccination report, bag of kitten food etc. You can clearly see how she loves and cares for these cats and I honestly feel she gave Thor the best start in life. The owner of this company has sadly gone from the unethical breeding of Pomeranians to the same for cats it appears. She is listed as the breeder on the pedigree certificate for my Pomeranian and I have all medical records after she was rescued - just incase she states this review is not truthful! My dogs medical conditions prove beyond a doubt she is inbred. I also have it on good authority from several sources that the owner of this disgusting establishment ran a filthy puppy farm near London, was struck off KC and many puppies died. Further, there is a “good” reason why so many of her breeding dogs had a limp in their front left leg - this includes my poor dog who has breaks in 2 places. I’m so sad that Sylvia Hauser has moved on to cats. Please do not buy from her as you will only experience heartache and promote the cruel practise of farming.
