Do not waste your time writing college reviews for Shiksha.com. They lure you in promising a ₹100 reward via UPI/Bank transfer. Once your review is approved and published, they claim the bank transfer "failed" and promise to email you an equivalent voucher instead.
​It has been over 4 days and no voucher has been sent. To make matters worse, when you try to contact their official support team at the emails completely bounce back with server connection errors . Their support infrastructure is entirely broken or intentionally blocking emails so they don't have to pay out.
​They take your genuine data and college review for free, give you zero customer support, and ghost you on the reward. Absolute fraud experience. Avoid this platform.

In 2025, I enrolled with an education consultancy (Shiksha.com) to pursue an MSc TESOL at the University of Aberdeen, UK. I paid a £3,000 tuition deposit after being assured by my consultant that it would be refunded in the event of a visa refusal (Note: This was the first time on 14 November 2025, Jasleen explicitly told me: 'IHS and visa fees will not be refunded, only the tuition fees deposit will refund after the deduction of Administration fees and on 17 November 2025, Jasleen said 'It depends on certain conditions' and promised to explain on a call — but never clearly communicated the specific exception that would apply to a non-genuine student visa refusal. This is a critical gap in their duty of care).' This is a direct promise of refund, with no mention of the 'non-genuine student' exception.. My visa was refused in January 2026 under a 'non-genuine student' classification by UKVI. I immediately applied for a refund as I had been advised I could. What followed was five months of follow-up emails and calls, with no clear answer. Last week I was formally told: no refund, no deferral, no reapplication at The University of Aberdeen over the email. The university's policy has an exception for this visa refusal category an exception my consultant never once mentioned. My ask for anyone in international education consultants, agents, university admissions teams is simple: be transparent about the full terms before a student pays. Not after. And for students: always read the refund policy yourself. Ask in writing. I'm now pursuing formal complaints through consumer protection channels in India and the UK.

Dr Tehmina Amin confirmed that you are not permitted to defer or reapply to the University of Aberdeen, and that the deposit is non-transferrable. This makes the financial loss total and permanent as far as UoA is concerned.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AND FINANCIAL LOSS IS THE BIGGEST MORE THAN THAT TIME TAKEN WHERE YOU COULD TAKE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY BUT YOU'RE STIPULATED TO JUST ONE. 😱☹️😔🥹😠😤😭😣

Never signed up for the service. I receive multiple emails a week. I am 72 and hardly looking to go back for another degree. They make it tedious to unsubscribe and when you review your "account", which they established for you, it clearly states they have been sharing your information with other companies. Their online reviews are terrible, this appears to be just a scam site with never ending spam.
