Lovely tour around parts of Cornwall.wonderful knowledgeable driver. Very poor hotel room perhaps Shearings should check rooms or use different hotel. Lovely meals.

In general excellent holiday, good Coach, brilliant driver & interesting venues. 3 star hotel could do with refurbishing & our room was poor, 1 window looking onto a public walkway. Cobham Services were a disaster both directions. Outbound minibus dropped us of where he said the coaches are normally, nothing & nobody for over half hour then told coaches other side of main building long walk with luggage. Inbound Up 5am continental breakfast Cobham 14:15 not due till 16:40 nobody could tell us how & when the transport to Camberley would be. It started raining & there was no shelter so we gave up & got a taxi to take us home costing us £59.61, the one from Camberley to home would have cost £29.97

We are, however, sorry to learn of the issues you experienced with both the hotel accommodation and the transfer arrangements at Cobham Services. We appreciate how frustrating this must have been, particularly when trying to locate your coach on the outbound journey and when seeking information regarding your onward transfer home on your return. We're also sorry to hear that this resulted in you arranging and paying for alternative transport.

Tour was great. Martin our driver was brilliant. Hotel was really bad having to drink bottled water because of contamination and the hotel was really run down. Shearings need to look into a better quality hotel. Otherwise good trip.

Good itinerary to great destinations with excellent driver Martin. Overlong journey over 12 hours each way largely due to use of Cobham as interchange. Hotel acceptable but had only one small lift and struggled to deal with 2 coach parties for meals

We enjoyed the trip to Cornwall. It gave us a good variety of all the place's I wanted to visit. The hotel had issues but great views. The coach driver Martin was excellent and very pleasant. I look forward to seeing the hotel renovation turning into a spa resort. But I do hope Shearings find another hotel to base their tour from St Ives. Such a beautiful location.

Wonderful hotel staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful destinations.Driver fantastic,kind and caring.Two improvements would help.More time in Padstow without Rick Steins fish and chips.Drop off location for Port Isaac should be changed to behind Delibox as customers were using walkers, crutches and had other age related medical problems and the drop off point made it impossible for several people who had to return to the coach.Overall a wonderful week in a beautiful location with Fantastic staff.Thank you

To long drive.for 1 driver. Couple times wasn't sure were too good. Interchanges was bit awaked to follow.. rather have direct coach there x back

Travel very tiring 14 hours to resort. Hotel very tired with food so poor that apart from breakfast we ate elsewhere. Hotel staff were excellent and very helpful Tours took us to most of highlights in Cornwall but coach parking was for the benefit of the driver and we were left having to order taxis to take us into resorts. This holiday is not suitable for anyone that has mobility issues. Too little time at resorts and too long in coach each day

Mick, the driver, was absolutely fantastic and went out of his way to make our experience very enjoyable, including finding a coach park that was closer to one of the places we went to, as well as sorting a few problems with the lanes and on the coach. The staff at the hotel we stayed at were first class. Very friendly and did their best to sort out issues, provide fantastic food/drink and give us all a really good laugh. A big shout out to Diane, Alan (behind the bar) and the lovely lady on reception who dealt professionally and humourously with a miriad of issues. The only problem was the suitability of the trips for people with mobility problems. Cornwall tends to be a hilly area and this needs to be highlighted in the brochure especially when travelling a distance on foot from the coach park to the towns we we're visiting. However, the scenery was fantastic and the fish and chips at Rick Stein's restaurant in Padstow was amazing (gluten free option was available).

This was a lovely holiday, visiting some lovely places. We had 3 coach/driver transfers, 5 stops, The journey down took 17hrs, return trip was 15 hrs, the amount of pick ups is just to many. I can not fault the main driver Mick at all, the hotel was disappointing, food would give 4 out of 10. The road into St Mawes was 15 miles of country lanes, which got very monotonous every day getting in and out . Shearings definitely needs to cut journey times, which more feeder vehicles would be needed.

Overall the holiday was very good. Our coach driver Mick was very helpful and couldn’t do enough during the holiday. The hotel staff hotel staff were superb however cleanliness and food was 2 stars at best. It was very hilly in most of the places we visited, we were ok with that however there were other holidaymakers who struggled with it.

It was disappointing that Shearings sub-contracted the coach to another company. Fortunately, the driver was excellent though there was no commentary about each place visited. Location of the hotel in St Mawes was harbourside and convenient for the ferry to Falmouth however by coach it was 14 miles of winding roads to the main road for each trip. Staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful however the hotel was a bit threadbare all round. My single room was probably the best compared to others but one night the shower didn't work (fixed the next day), it was too small to open a suitcase on the luggage rack, bathroom window catch was broken so the window never closed. First night it was quite cold and I had to ask for a blanket. Ran out of milk in the room for 2 days, asked at reception, none available. Waste in bathroom was emptied on the penultimate day only. I had moths in the room which seemed to be hatching out daily. I dispatched 8 and 1 followed me out of the room on departure day! All the carpets in the hotel needed replacing, the one in the dining room was threadbare. The food was ok, choice of 4 items for starter, dinner & dessert. Same vegetables every night. Breakfast was ok but nothing was hot, including the tea & coffee. I drove 80+ miles from Bristol to meet the coach at Reading as I wanted to do this particular tour & visit places in Cornwall I had not been to before. I asked if I could be picked up somewhere nearer Bristol as the route was M5 going past Bristol but this was declined. I would not book with Shearings again and would certainly not recommend them.

To little time at locations. To much time on the coach better to do 1 visit a day. Evening meal times 6.00 pm every day to early and food could be better. Staff at hotel were very nice and accommodating.
