Brilliant talk, Professor Marisa Linton was an fantastic talker, with a very engaging topic.

I bought a ticket to the talk "Gothic Literature & Women: The Female History of Horror" for a fun gathering with my spooky things-inclined friends to watch and learn from this talk and let me tell you: we had a BLAST!!! 10/10 would recommend.

Dr Joan Passey was not only intelligent and well-spoken, she was funny and accessible too. It literally felt like I was receiving a talk by my best friend...you know, my friend who also happens to be a professional lecturer in English at the University of Bristol, specializing in the gothic, horror and folklore!!

SeedTalks - bring back Joan whenever you can. Let her speak about whatever she wants, 'cause she can do it all and we will be there SEATED and ready to learn! And keep up these North American-accessible seminars. Some of us on this side of the pond truly **do** like to be educated (even though some recent events and actions of our leaders - at least here in the States - might point to otherwise...).

Great event really wonderful expert speaker. The content felt accessible and exciting. So glad they hosted this event for the US. I learned and connected some pieces from history and literacy. My sister had found the lecture and sent it to me and I’m so glad she did. Added a bunch of gothic literacy fiction titles to my TRB and to watch list. I loved hearing it connections to feminism.

Dr. Joan Passey is incredibly knowledgeable and funny. I learned so many new things and felt she made a safe space for her audience while discussing challenging topics. Would love to take another course with her again!

Interesting sessions by well-researched individuals on fascinating topics

The Seed Talk in Women and Folklore was amazing. Such a well studied and accessibly narrated story through British Folklore History. The venue was accessible, central and well-picked. The host and the guest speaker were friendly and inviting. All around a great project and I hope to return soon.

It was great to be able to attend this event online. The instructions ahead of time were clear, joining was straightforward and the producing and hosting of it were great. I loved the talk. Amy was a wonderful expert speaker. A very enjoyable evening.

What an amazing, interesting evening; I would highly recommend a Seed Talk.
I thoroughly enjoyed the talk and Q&A session, so Informative and witty. I realised I had already known some of the subject matter and am eager to reread the Irish folklore.
It was a little hard to see the screens from towards the back of the room so I have requested a copy of the presentation. My best advice is to get to the venue early to bag a good seat. You will thoroughly enjoy it.

This is the second seed talk I have been to and what a great way to spend an evening - intelligent people, stimulating but accessible content and like-minded people who are enthusiastic and further enthused by the subject. I have really enjoyed them and will book again.

The History of Folk Horror with Dr Joan Passey was absolutely brilliant. Dr Passey’s expertise in her subject is highly impressive and her delivery made this an extremely stimulating talk which posed many areas for further discussion and research. I think I’m right in saying that everyone was completely engaged and enjoyed the evening. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I really love the venue but one small issue was the seating which felt very cramped and like we were on top of each other. This made it a little uncomfortable at times but did not detract from the evening. Spacing the seats out a little would resolve this, I believe.
