Real Truth on Dr. Michael Boone, Chiropractor, not the Yellow Journalism of Seacoast Online's Bob Tis.
Real Truth on Dr. Michael Boone, Chiropractor, not the Yellow Journalism of Seacoast Online's
Bob Tis.
Bob Tis, the disinformation agent of Portsmouth NH's Seacoast online, writes with the same vindictive tabloid approach and the heavy use of hearsay, that his Herald Partner, Dinan was so strongly implicated in. The current online review of the Portsmouth Herald says it so clearly and succinctly,” The articles are filled with malicious cruel banter and hearsay, taking great pleasure in seeing the downfall and mistakes of others and spinning and twisting the facts to market her local paper.”
The standard Rules of good journalism, completely ignored, as Tis and his overseers hid behind the “freedom of speech amendment, “no matter the lies and half-truths used to fit a negative narrative on Dr. Michael Boone.” Journalistic style, using extreme adjectives to sensationalize their non-factual article, words like drummed out of town, pure yellow journalism, in fact never happened to Boone. Boone voluntarily shut down the Chiropractic clinic on Islington after discovering the billing issues created by his new computerized system, Spangler Automated Services. Spangler created innumerable egregious errors. Dr. Boone, owner did not ever do office billing. All billing was done by the incompetent outside billing agency, Spangler Automated Medical Services, Inc. Spangler was found guilty by a judge in the United States Court for the District of New Hampshire after Boone sued Spangler in 1994 and Boone won a large judgment against Spangler for creating the billing issues at Boone Chiropractic ( NH: Civil No.94-602-SD).
All information was available to Hearalds reporter Tis well in advance for his article 5 years earlier. But Bob Tis, Portsmouth Herald’s unlicensed and uncertified writer, relied on a Massachusetts TV crew, asking questions at a health food store, as his source, Tis not doing his investigative research, and choose to sensationalize his article for viewership. If Tis would have researched his article, he would have quickly ascertained that Boone was found innocent years before in Boston Court for shoplifting,( Shoplifting -case dismissed. No charges, Boone found innocent, Court documents: East Boston District Court Jan. 7, 1994). Further, Boone was never charged in Massachusetts, by any legal entity of practicing medicine without a license, as Tis stated occurred in 1997. Also, Tis would have seen the 1996 findings on N.H. court of billing irregularities being associated with Spangler Automative Billing with the court ordering Spangler to pay Boones for Spangler's gross incompetence In 1996. All information was available to Tis with a little research.
Further, Dr. Boone was NOT a Naturopath nor did he purport to be one. He was a Medical Researcher, employed by a research group, collecting nutritional information on health food store patrons that were following a book called. “The Blood Type Diet By Dr. DAdamo Naturopath. Boone wasn’t the naturopath. The book’s author D’Adamo was. Boone never had a business card, letterhead, or any other message noting him working as a naturopath nor has he ever worked or represented that he was a Naturopath. Tis relied on information from a TV news agency speaking to a health store patron who confusingly thought Boone was working as a naturopath in a health store because of Boone's extensive background in alternative health care.
Tis ended his article with a whopper of a lie. But apparently, who cares is the message his editors still send out? Tis stated Boone was charged with practicing medicine without a license around 1997. Another complete falsehood. In contact with the Massachusetts Board of Medical registration and the Attorney General's Office, Dr.Boone was NEVER charged with practicing without a license. Period. With a Massachusetts CORI on Boone, there has never been a charge of practicing medicine without a license in his history.
This type of yellow journalistic targeting has no place in the news world yet it is condoned by the editors of The Herald who oversaw Tis with their actions in not depublishing the article when contacted .”You don’t post a correction on page 20 after grandstanding the mistruth on page one.“ Even with court documents, the editors refused to act on the article “Doctor back in business “, and apologize to Boone. This is only one example within the Seacoast Online where truth didn’t matter and doesn’t matter
