Won my dream domain in auction!

I've been waiting for this moment for a week now, ever since I started researching one domain that was originally registered on Sav and expired. I dove into the dark world of domain backorders. While researching that domain, I came across the dream domain on Sav - in auction, no bids! I've read most reviews here, lately all bad. To be honest I didn't have much hope, I expected something to go wrong, and it did, around 1 hour before the auction end time I tried to bid and learned that I had to verify my account too, on top of using my registered method at least once, and verification takes 24-48 hours! At that moment, reading that no one even gets a reply from support, all my hope was lost, but I contacted live support, AI to live, after waiting a couple minutes, I got a very kind human reply that they verified my account!

Got the domain, no competition, no other bids, I couldn't believe it!

I found it very interesting that both bad reviewers and Sav are very honest, their system is under a lot of pressure you can easily observe this, search goes down easily.

My conclusion is that the entire domain ecosystem is extremely toxic, companies questionable, customers toxic, in my very very limited experience, as an outsider, a builder just trying to buy a domain for his next project, I was very satisfied with Sav!

My suggestion for first time bidders:
1) Activate/use your payment method first, unsure what's the best method, I bought a $1 domain
2) Make a $1 bid early on, which directs you to verify your account via ID
3) Best not to wait to bid until last second, it's like they are constantly under DDOS and momentarily go down

Client maltraité

Site catastrophique pour les retours et très long pour l'envoi des commandes. Ils annoncent sur leur site que le découpe-légume fonctionne sur le TM31. Or il ne s'adapte pas du tout. Retour de la pièce depuis plus d'un mois et demi. Soit disant ils n'ont pas reçu le colis. Après des démarches perso, il faut qu'ils fassent une réclamation auprès de colissimo car le colis est coincé sur une plateforme mais ils ne font rien car ils ont soit disant beaucoup de travail. En attendant je ne suis pas remboursée des 80€!!!!

Une vis pour poignée thermomix TM5…

Une vis pour poignée thermomix TM5 commandée mi janvier (2,90 euros la vis + 5 euros de frais de port).
Je reçois une vis qui n'est pas compatible avec thermomix TM5. Nous avons des échanges de mails depuis 2 mois. Ils me répondent qu'ils attendent la réponse de leur fournisseur et aux dernières nouvelles, il sm'écrivent que je me suis trompée dans ma commande. Lamentable!

V2 Auction!



Unfortunately, you've ruined your old auction with this stupid, weak v2 auction.
I searched for the .house extension and got a ridiculous error message. Development should be for the better, not the worse. The filters are weak and don't work properly.
This auction needs urgent fixes and filter improvements. The buyer needs to save time, not waste it. If a buyer is only interested in 5 extensions, should they have to manually search for each one slowly? In the past, all the extension names were listed, and the buyer could choose whatever they wanted.
I used this auction in past years, but unfortunately you rushed to release a new version full of errors and it doesn't meet expectations for improvement.

Worst customer service, holding funds against our will.

This is the worst experience i have had with sav. I deposited funds into my account back on January 28th, and ever since then, it has been an absolute nightmare trying to get my money back out.
I did exactly what they asked me to do. I jumped through all their hoops, completed my KYC verification by mid february, and filled out all their required tax forms. My account is fully verified and clearly shows my $50 available balance. But every single time I try to withdraw my funds to PayPal, I just get a big red "Failed to process withdrawal request" error.
The worst part is their customer support. I have had an open ticket for weeks, and they are completely unhelpful. Instead of actually fixing the problem or processing a manual transfer, they just keep feeding me the same copy paste robotic responses: "we've escalated your request," "we're working to resolve this," and "we don't have a definitive answer yet."
It has been over a month. If your automated withdrawal system is broken, your finance team needs to step up and manually send users their money. It is completely unacceptable to hold a customer's funds hostage indefinitely because your tech team can't figure out a glitch.
At this point, it feels incredibly sketchy, and I am being forced to look into filing a chargeback with my bank just to get my original deposit back. Do yourself a favor and avoid depositing any money here if you ever want to see it again. Even better don’t use their services at all they’re super slow.

Poor auction v2


I would like to share additional feedback regarding the new auctions interface at v2.sav.com. After using the platform more extensively, I noticed several usability issues that make domain searching much harder than before.

1. The list of domain extensions (TLDs) is not clearly visible like it was in the old auctions page.

2. It is difficult to search using multiple extensions at the same time (for example selecting .com, .net, and .org together).

3. There is no clear descending sorting option (for example by price or auction end time), which makes it difficult to find the most important auctions quickly.

4. The page feels extremely crowded with too many domains and not enough filtering tools to narrow results efficiently.

5. The interface displays a lot of information that is not very useful while hiding information that investors actually need.

6. Because of the huge number of domains and the lack of strong filtering and sorting, it has become very difficult to discover quality or premium domains.

7. Scanning large auction lists is slower because the layout is not optimized for fast browsing.

8. It is harder to quickly jump to specific pages or segments of the auction list.

9. The platform does not make it easy to identify high-value domains among thousands of listings.

10. Overall the new interface reduces efficiency for users who regularly analyze large numbers of domains.

The previous auction interface was much simpler and more efficient for browsing large domain lists. I hope the team will consider improving filtering, sorting, and simplifying the layout so users can find valuable domains more easily.

The V2 platform is a major downgrade…

The V2 platform is a major downgrade from the previous version. I had successfully placed backorders before, but after migrating to V2, my saved payment method was suddenly removed without notice.

When I attempted to place a backorder, I received an email stating:
"We were unable to pre-authorize your payment method for today's backorder attempts. As a result, we will not be attempting to catch any of your domains today."

Because the system deleted my payment details, I had to re-add them only to discover that V2 now requires pre-authorization, which was never required before. As a result, the platform failed to attempt any catches at all.

Overall, V2 feels like a downgrade rather than an improvement.

First, I find a domain which would be great, go to register it, cheap price, seems too good to be true. I then get an error saying an 'Unsuccessful purchase', I try again, same error. A buddy tries it, they get an error too.
THIS COMPANY FAKE-SCAMMERS AND VERY BAD PROVIDER !

Unprofessional, be aware

Scammers. I tried transferring five domains during five different times. This domains didn’t failed transfers so I reached out for either a credit or refund. To my surprise, they never responded back. I emailed them three times and after three months, I gave up. Be careful people, I would think twice doing business with this establishment. Shame on them.

Cost me my Google #1 ranking after domain transfer

After transferring my domain to SAV, my website went offline and I lost my #1 Google ranking, which directly impacts enquiries and revenue.

I contacted support expecting clear, practical help to get the site back up quickly. Instead, I got vague replies like “the domain is pointing to your server provider” with no clear explanation of what had changed, what I needed to update, or a simple checklist to restore my website properly.

They also set my domain to “coming soon” nameservers by default, which was not made clear upfront and created extra disruption. Overall, the experience was stressful and the support was not actionable when time mattered.

I would not recommend SAV if you run a business site and need reliable, straightforward support during transfers.

Sav failed to renew and auctioned off my $5000 domain

I manage a portfolio of over 2,000 domains and have used many registrars over the years. My experience with Sav.com’s V2 system has been the worst I’ve encountered.

On January 20, 2026, while my domain EEA.net was still in the registrar’s grace period, I attempted to renew it through Sav’s official interface. Their checkout clearly showed the name in my cart for $12.12 and moved into a “We’re processing your order(s)” state. I took timestamped screenshots at the time.

The transaction never completed on Sav’s side, yet the dashboard continued to display “Renewal Grace Period,” making it reasonable to believe renewal was still possible.

Later, Sav claimed no backend record existed for that attempt and allowed the name to go to auction, where it was awarded to another bidder. When I contacted support before the auction ended, Sav acknowledged that their V2 dashboard displaying “Grace Renewal Period” may have been misleading, but still refused to intervene because only backend logs “count.”

This is not about forgetting to renew. It is about a registrar whose public interface allows a full renewal flow during grace, stalls in processing, shows misleading status labels, and then relies solely on internal logs to auction off a customer’s domain.

Since V2 rolled out, I’ve also experienced domains disappearing from my account and inconsistent renewal behavior, which is why I now screenshot everything at Sav.

I have filed a formal ICANN Contractual Compliance Complaint over this case. Other domain owners should be cautious using Sav’s V2 renewal system, especially if you see “processing” screens or unclear status labels.

Absolutely rubbish service

Absolutely rubbish service. I had autorenew active on my domain, I received absolutly no notification from them (also checked my spam folder). And now my domain is expired and I have to pay $412 to get it back in an auction. If you buy a domain from them, make sure to immediately transfer it to other providers.

Achat d'un four

Fin septembre 2025, je dépose mon four pour réparation.Le 1er octobre je reçois le devis. Je valide le devis. Le 9 octobre je récupère mon four. Le 10 au midi je veux m'en servir et je découvre qu'il ne chauffe pas et que le tableau de contrôle digital ne fonctionne pas. Je tente de joindre la boutique mais impossible. J'envoie un mail. Un mail de réponse me disant qu'un test de chauffe de 37 minutes a été fait. Il me demande de passer à la boutique et qu'il traiterons le dossier en priorité. Le 22 octobre je reçois un nouveau mail M'informant que la pièce est en commande. Délai 6 novembre. Pas de nouvelles arrivé cette date. Je renvoie un mail le 13 novembre pour demander où en est la commande et savoir quand pourrais je récupérer mon four.
Voilà la réponse :
"nous sommes en attente de pièces

réception de celle estimée pour le 18/11 ( désolé pour cette attente

Dès réception de la pièce nous revenons vers vous par mail ou sms ."

Ils m'informent que mon four n'ai pas réparable et me propose d'acheter un nouveau four.

Ils me proposent 2 modèles avec comme garantie : "ce sont des produit ou les pièces sont référencées pendant 15 ans avec un vrai stock".

Je choisis le modèle Brandt. Celui-ci est commandé le 27 novembre et devrait arriver le 28 novembre. Le 28 novembre j'envoie un mail pour demander où en est la livraison.
Réponse: "celui -ci vient tout juste d'arriver :)
vous pouvez passez quand vous le souhaitez ."
Le 1er décembre je récupère mon four. Le 4 décembre je demande ma facture et je reçois un document le 4 décembre.

Autre point : Je souhaite acheter une grille supplémentaire pour mon four. Et là surprise ! La pièce n'existe plus. Pourtant voici leur message

"ce sont des produit ou les pièces sont référencées
pendant 15 ans avec un vrai stock".

Voilà le message que je reçois lors de ma commande sur un site de pièces détachées : "Suite à la liquidation du groupe Brandt, nos approvisionnements hors stock sur ces 4 marques sont interrompus."

CES VENDEURS SONT DES ESCROCS. ILS VENDENT UN FOUR EN VOUS ASSURANT QUE LES PIECES SONT REFERENCES.
