What has gone so terribly wrong at Saltwater? Two pairs of Boardwalk soft sole sandals split across the sole within a couple of months of use. Really disappointed as Saltwater used to sell really good sandals that lasted for ages. Not great for my purse or the environment.

Awful, the sandals arrived through the post, when I tried them on the leather was very scratchy and unpleasant therefore not providing the "durable leather comfort" they promote and I consider they are not fit for purpose.
I promptly returned them with the returns form, posting them back at my expense but heard nothing back and after 20 days I contacted them via email. 2 days later I received a reply saying "I am sorry to hear that your sandals did not fit as expected" saying they were now processing the refund and apologising for the delay. No acknowledgement that I had found the sandals unwearable so I will just have to chalk up the cost of two lots of postage. I am still awaiting the refund 3 weeks after my returns parcel reached their warehouse. The website states that: "a refund will be issued to you within 14 business days".

Terrible service beware! They take weeks to respond which is awful. The sandals are nice but they come up big and then they expect you to return them at your expense which is unfair as they should state that they are not a true size 39 (they are more like a size 40). I have always worn size 6 (39) but with Salt water they are big - they need to say that! The customer service is awful and goes round and round in circles. Im still waiting for a acceptable response since 30.7.26 - they have sent 2 emails asking for photos which is stupid but I have done so - still waiting. Terrible.

Ordered some sandals for my wife’s birthday. The order arrived all fine until we opened the box and found that they had sent the wrong product. I contacted their customer services (which for some reason takes them a week to reply) and was asked to send a number of photographs of what we’d been sent which I did. This was nearly two weeks ago and I’ve had radio silence since. Hugely disappointed as the sandals are my wife’s favourite - I think the moral of the story is to buy through a third-party as then you might get half decent customer service and a refund / replacement when the vendor is at vault.

I am so surprised to read the poor reviews. I have just replaced my sliders which I bought in 2019. Not because they are worn or broken because I left them pool side at a hotel and they weren’t handed in. Gutted is an understatement. They are what they say a summer essential. I take them on holiday every year and have worn extremely well. I am hope after 7 years they haven’t changed their suppliers and the replacements last as long!

Faulty sandals that were worn once they take days to come back to you on email and then are refusing to replace them. Absolutely disgusted which is a shame as the other sandals from them I have I love as so practical and comfortable but will think twice about buying again. £75 on a pair of sandals that are faulty and they currently still have after I returned them!!!!

My boardwalk sandals barely lasted over a year before they started falling apart under normal usage. This is not what I would expect for a premium sandal. I have then been consistently ignored by their customer service team when I complained about this. I have consumer rights in the UK! And I have found their customer service to be appalling. I am so disappointed as I have recommended these sandals to multiple friends, I thought it was an ethical and decent brand. What a shame.

I’m really shocked and disappointed by my experience.

I ordered my sandals on 12th July and never received my parcel. I contacted DHL, who informed me that the package was destroyed on 8th August because they were given an incorrect delivery address.
Even worse – DHL confirmed that Sikada (acting on behalf of Salt Water Sandals Europe) gave them permission to destroy the parcel, signed off by someone called “Van der Velden”.

I entered the correct address when I placed my order. There was absolutely no reason why DHL should have received a wrong address from your side.

I tried to contact Salt Water Sandals several times but received no reply. Only after sending messages via Instagram did someone finally respond and send me a follow-up email last week.

All I want is for my sandals to be re-sent to the correct address in France.
I’m travelling to South Africa on the 26th, and I really hope to receive them before then.
I have been wearing Salt Water sandals for 15 years and saved up for this new pair – this experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Please resolve this and send my shoes.

They dont refund my money. All means of contact have been ignored. I have literally no chance, to get my money back. SCAM!

I bought a pair of sandals approximately 10 years ago and just had to replace them!
I got confused with the sizing and had to send them back.i received a full refund within a week. I reordered the correct size which arrived the next day. Well done saltwater, be back in 10 years for another pair 😆

Sandales cassés après seulement 2 mois d'utilisation.
Très déçue par la qualité des sandales achetées pour ma fille. Après seulement 2 mois, la lanière s'est décrochée de la semelle, la rendant totalement inutilisable. Je suis cliente depuis de nombreuses années, et je constate que la qualité n'est clairement plus au rendez-vous.

Just had a weird experience- that turned out very well! Staying in Spain and a cab left us in an inconvenient spot forcing us to walk 2.5 kms in my saltwater sandals. I feared the worst: chafing, blisters - but no. They got me there painlessly and I was raring to walk! Well done saltwater - what a neat sandal.

They refunded me £7.95 for a £74.95 pair of sandals. No explanation given. I am now having to threat legal action to get refund or replacement. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Ordered a child’s pair of sandals according to their size guide. They arrived, but were too small so ordered the next size up and sent the original ones back. They’ve charged me £3 for a restock fee which goes against consumer rights so will be complaining or taking it further with my bank. If I were to ever buy these again, I’d use a company that stocks them elsewhere.

Every year I have have purchased my twins these sandles, this will be the last year unless the returns of their returns changes. This year I purchased the wrong size paid to return them, whilst waiting for my refund I ordered another 2 pairs which I’m keeping. But having invested year on year to this brand having to pay return and then… the tipping point for me is the £3 shelf restocking charge. Extremely disappointed. Shame on you!

Sandals were too wide and long. I had to pay £10.00 to return them and they deducted a further £3.00. Completely put me off trying a smaller size. Very poor after sales/return policy. Would not recommend.

The cost of delivery to Greece is quart of the sandals's price. Ridiculous! I really wanted to try their product but 33 euros for delivery is quite a steal.. Absolutely not ordering.
