Illegal, dishonest, and dangerously negligent dealer — buyer beware
I bought a BMW X3M here three months ago. While the car itself is excellent, this dealer’s behaviour was shocking, dishonest, and in some cases illegal. The V5 took a month to arrive despite constant chasing, staff ignored messages, and on the sales receipt the car was marked as “sold to salvage” without any disclosure.
Even worse, after collecting the car, I discovered it still had finance outstanding, which is illegal to sell. It took 2–3 days of chasing to get this corrected. The “recent service” was a joke — oil looked like it came from a diesel, air filters were marked 2021, and staff couldn’t even tell me what oil had been used.
The car also had undisclosed previous repairs: the boot lid had been poorly resprayed and the rear wing had a shoddy finish, all of which I had to fix myself. On top of this, the rear tyres were the wrong size, which could have seriously impacted the xDrive drivetrain if I hadn’t spotted it — another undisclosed safety risk.
The attached pictures on the google review, this dealer misleads customers, hides major issues, sells cars illegally, and takes no responsibility for safety or quality. I would never trust them and strongly advise anyone considering buying here: stay far away.

Great company to deal with.
Great staff, friendly, knowledgeable and transparent.
Highly recommended 👍👍👍
Awful company to use.
Awful company to use. Put a deposit down on a vehicle early January. Still didn't have the car middle of February. It was a BMW for that supposedly needed a recall to BMW. BMW didn't know about this certain car needing a recall. Had to use wattsapp to contact them. You can see that they have read the messages but would t respond. Never had a call off them or any apologies about the wait time. In the end I moved on to a different company. Been well looked after. Shambles of a business. Stay away if you can

Bad After-sales Experience
Bought a Tesla from here - the pre-sales and initial aftersales support was great, but after a few weeks, I had an issue with the charge port not opening when pressed, which the car said was due to a sensor fault.
They said that they could not cover this due to their warranty provider considering it a "trim piece". I emailed back saying that I don't agree that a faulty sensor is a trim piece - and that the warranty is their own arrangement; it doesn't change their obligation to fix the issue. After politely asking them to reconsider, I got an unprofessional email back refusing to fix it.
I ended up getting Tesla to repair the sensor, and reclaimed the cost through my credit card provider.
Shame they had to make this a bad experience. Judging by other low reviews on here, it's not the first time this has happened.

RSQ3 Feb 2026
I have recently bought a car from the team at RS car sales and they were very helpful and professional from start to finish. Any additional information I asked regarding the car or the process, was answered in good time and in good detail by the team.
They went above and beyond for me throughout the final stages of completion to put my mind at ease and even followed up with me a few days after the sale had concluded.
Highly recommend for a professional buying experience..
5 star service from start to finish
5 star service from start to finish, pulled out all stops to achieve same day delivery to my front door! Will not be my last time buying from RS car sales
Great company with great ethics
Great company with equally great ethics, friendly helpful staff with great communication from start to finish. Would highly recommend.
Very Impressed!
The whole process of part exchanging my car with RS was a breeze. I was a bit unsure of how it would all go down in one day and I also had a private plate to deal with. They took care of it all! I would highly recommend buying a car from them and will look to next time I change my ca

Bought my A35 2022 from this company and the whole experience was perfect from start to finish. Everything was easy, communication was spot on, and the delivery was within 2 days.
I did have a small issue with the lights after getting the car, but they told me to take it straight to Mercedes and they covered all the charges without any hassle. Honestly can’t fault them — great service and a great car.
It's nice when things are simple
It's nice when things are simple. I called on Monday to see if the car was available, it had just arrived so I was first in line. Left a deposit and did finance, accepted in the afternoon. Car was ready on Tuesday and I was in my new car by the afternoon! really speedy and efficient service. Genuinely so so easy. Thanks you boys

⚠️ AVOID THIS DEALER
⚠️ AVOID THIS DEALER — READ BEFORE YOU BUY ⚠️
The car looked clean on the surface, but multiple faults appeared within the first hour of driving after purchase.
This should have been detected during even a basic pre-sale inspection.
When the issues were reported immediately, the dealer became defensive, uncooperative and started making completely inappropriate accusations instead of addressing the faults professionally.
They refused to accept an independent VAT-registered diagnostic (which every UK consumer is legally entitled to) and kept insisting the car must be returned 140 miles back to their site “just for a look”.
Considering their own workshop failed to detect obvious faults in the first place, that demand made no sense.
Communication was extremely unprofessional — instead of support, I received attitude, excuses, false assumptions and irrelevant accusations.
A simple, reasonable approach would have resolved everything, but the dealer chose to escalate and avoid responsibility.
I am now getting a proper independent diagnostic and will resolve the matter through the correct legal channels, without relying on this dealer’s workshop.
If you value your time, your money and your peace of mind —
spend it elsewhere.
Response to the dealer:
Your response is full of inaccuracies, deflection and misleading statements, so let me address this properly and transparently for anyone reading.
1. The faults appeared almost immediately – not after “days”.
• Severe brake vibration appeared within 30 minutes of motorway driving.
• The HVAC fault appeared within the next 30–35 miles.
These issues do not spontaneously develop – they were present from the moment the car left your forecourt.
A proper pre-sale inspection would have identified them.
2. You repeatedly insisted that I drive 140 miles back so your workshop could “have a look”.
Under UK consumer law, a customer is entitled to an independent diagnostic from a VAT-registered garage of their choice.
You refused to acknowledge this right and tried to force your own terms instead.
3. Your claim that I wanted repairs “on my driveway” or in a “friend’s garage” is completely false.
I asked for a standard, independent, VAT-registered inspection — nothing unusual, nothing unreasonable.
4. Your suggestion that I tried to negotiate “thousands off” is simply not true.
I viewed the vehicle, expected normal negotiation like any experienced buyer would, and ultimately paid the full advertised price without hesitation.
5. Blocking a customer on WhatsApp speaks volumes.
A professional business does not block a customer who reports faults within hours of purchase.
That behaviour alone raises serious questions about accountability and confidence in your own product.
6. You stated the car was fully inspected and “perfect”.
Yet the very faults I reported are exactly the kind that appear when a pre-sale check has not been carried out thoroughly — or at all.
7. Your accusation implying falsified invoices or dishonest intentions is completely unacceptable.
The invoice was issued, created and printed by your business, not me.
Suggesting otherwise is deeply unprofessional and undermines your own credibility.
8. You have tried to shift responsibility instead of addressing the actual faults.
Had this been handled professionally and calmly from the start, this review would never have been necessary.
I am now proceeding with a full independent diagnostic from a VAT-registered garage, exactly as the law permits.
You will receive the official report, and the matter will be dealt with through the correct legal channels from this point forward.
Let’s stick to facts, not accusations.
Facts are on record, and the diagnostic will confirm them.
For clarity:
I am completely consistent in my reviews.
I only leave a one-star review when the experience genuinely deserves it.
I do not write positive reviews unless the service is exceptional.
Everything stated above is factual, documented and will be reflected in the diagnostic report.

First Class Car and Service
I have nothing but good to say about this company. Delivery of my fabulous BMW to Glasgow was professional and was made on a date that was more suitable for me. There was two small faults that occured with the car within two weeks however this was repaired at a local garage to me and remadied very quickly. RS Car Sales honoured the warranty for Glasgow area. Brilliant service :-)
Take your hard earned cash elsewhere
I purchased a white Hyundai i30 N from RS Car Sales Cheshire on the 08/09/2025, placing a £5,500 deposit down and financing the rest through Motonovo finance. The purchase process and test drive was smooth which initially left me feeling confident with the car and dealership. However the day after I noticed a squeaking sound on the front drivers side.
I had rang RS Car sales the following day regarding this issue and they advised me to take it to a VAT registered garage to have the fault diagnosed to see if it could be covered under warranty. The earliest I could manage to get the car the garage was the same Friday but the noise got progressively worse, the car was inspected the following Tuesday and I was sent a garage report that confirmed a serious pre existing fault with the vehicle, the shock absorber and top mount were moving freely inside the arch of the drivers side of the vehicle only being held in place by the weight of the vehicle.
Effectively this would require the top mount, strut, bolt and shock absorber to be replaced since they were damaged which made the car unroadworthy and unsafe to drive. These parts were on backlog from Hyundai with no ETA. My initial thoughts to reading the report was that if the components had failed and came out of place going over a pothole or driving down a motorway, the damage could of been catastrophic. The report stated this fault was pre existing, meaning it could not have been caused within my short period of ownership. The car had also passed an MOT on 02/09/2025, just days earlier, which raised further concerns.
I immediately rang RS car sales to request a refund and cancellation of the HP agreement. They replied stating 'Its a used car, these things tend to happen, we will not refund you or pay the garage’s labour fees, but we’ll collect and repair the vehicle with second-hand parts you’ll then need to collect it from our dealership'. I declined and opened a case with Motonovo finance but was advised it could take weeks to be assigned a case handler. The same day I emailed a refund request to RS Car Sales, they then responded and backtracked, claiming they had already offered a refund but insisted I must return the vehicle at my own cost. They then contradicted themselves again, saying “we don’t collect cars from your area”. I thought this was unfair due to the car being deemed unroadworthy within 8 days of purchase.
Following the advice from Motonovo, I delayed returning the vehicle until a case handler was assigned to ensure no unlawful deductions would be made. During this period RS Car Sales pressured me repeatedly with emails saying I would lose my right to a refund if I don't return within 30 days from purchase, even though MotoNovo confirmed that my right was protected as I had notified them of rejection within that timeframe. I was contacted on the 15/10/2025 by Motonovo saying RS Car Sales are unable to make any deductions to my refund, upon hearing that I was happy to return the vehicle, it was returned the same Friday.
The following Monday I chased for my refund of £5,500 and was told the following week by the dealer that they did not find any pre existing fault with the vehicle (Of course they didn't...) and that they would only refund me if I agree not to leave a negative review about RS Car Sales as it is part of their policy. I immediately contacted Motonovo finance, they got involved and the dealer sharp changed their minds about this 'pOLiCy' and issued me a refund the same day.
RS Holes motto of "We don't just say we are different than other dealerships, we show you." Certainly applies as they have been awful. Don't make the same mistake as I did and take your hard earned cash elsewhere to a dealer that actually values honesty and customer service. Judging from Rory's replies to other reviews I am intrigued to see his reply to this.
(I have attached photo proof of my experience with rs car sales on google reviews)
Response to RS Car Sales reply.
- The issue did not become apparent until the following days? It became apparent the next day after purchase when I called RS Car Sales to notify them about the issue.
- They did not encourage me to return the car I instead had repeated emails of RS Car Sales pressuring me.
- Bolt off bolt on repair? (Check the images posted on google reviews)
- Regarding my refund that's a lie, the photos I posted on google clearly show RS Car Sales making my refund conditional on not leaving a negative review. They only agreed to refund me in full because the finance company stepped in the following week and said they would start fining RS Car Sales if they do not refund me as it is illegal to use any tactics that remove my right to leave an honest review.
So yeah it was terrible after care from RS Car Sales.

Honestly couldn’t fault these guys
Honestly couldn’t fault these guys. From start to finish, the service was brilliant — friendly, professional, and genuine. They made the whole process really easy and stress-free.
The car was exactly how it was described online, super clean, and clearly well looked after. They took the time to go through everything with me and made sure I was happy before driving off. You can tell they actually care about their customers, not just the sale.
Would 100% recommend RS Car Sales to anyone looking for a decent car and proper customer service. Really happy with my purchase.
Extra mile
Bought a car just shy of 2 months ago, made the process very easy when turning up on the day and no hassle for a test drive, also helped with prior finance company taking excess money on settlement payment, went the extra mile even after the point of sale
Rory is a terrible, terrible human being
Unsure where these good reviews below have come from but my experience with this company and especially Rory was horrific. After reserving the car the night before, I received a call from Rory the next morning and within 30 seconds he was using pressurising sales tactics to get me to sort the car finance out before even viewing or test driving the vehicle.
My offer of £1.6k below the asking price, which I thought was reasonable for the car given it was 10.3k miles over the average (according to AutoTrader) and almost 6 years old, was rejected and later questioned by Rory asking if I knew how much money he would make if he accepted that offer. After a bit of time spent talking over each other he then swore at me multiple times then hung up the phone.
I was at peace with paying the full amount for the car and to be honest, I probably will, just not for an emotionally driven person like Rory. Rory is everything wrong with salespeople and if you enjoy getting pressured into buying a car then he's your man. If you are like me and like to be treated with basic human respect then you would never turn to this man for a car and you should take your money elsewhere.
Sadly 1 star is the lowest rating you can give on here but he really deserves nothing. (Expect to read Rory's emotionally charged response below).
