Terrible experience....
These guys don't care about their customers and even less about the shops that helps them selling them.
Here in Denmark we have a lot of very good alternative suppliers with at least as good a quality but at less than half the price.
Everybody knows that here.
But the fact that they have such a bad service might not be as well known, as they always hide behind the resellers to take the heat.
My experience was when glasses broke just after a few months and they didn't want to replace or anything, even though the guarantee should cover it.
They just take up an arrogant attitude telling you that it is your own fault or blaming the frame manufacturer not being good enough to handle the glasses.
My reseller fully agreed, but there was nothing they could do. "They are ALWAYS like that" I was told.
The reseller offered me to help me out, paying half of the cost (probably just their commission, that they would otherwise have got on top of something that should have been a free guarantee covering), but they could not get anything from Rodenstock, even if it was one of their glasses that broke without cause.
I asked them to give me the number and gave them a call once they received the broken glass.
And yes, just as warned, I got the message:
"we don't care"
"we don't replace because it is your own fault if the glasses breaks with normal use"
"The glass met the specifications, so if it broke, it is not our fault"
Well, here I am trying to warn others to avoid a similar experience.
Buy your glasses somewhere else if possible. Every time I have had any issues with other suppliers, they have always been more than helpful and kind.
These guys (at least in Denmark) don't care about you as a customer.

Optisch eine absolute Katastrophe, habe um fast 1000 Euro eine Rhodenstock Perfektion für den PC und man weiß nicht, ob die dort alkoholisiert sind oder was? Optisch eine Katastrophe, minimale Breite in der Nah- und Progressionszone, Verzerrungen ohne Ende eine Katastrophe trotz mehrmaliger Reklamationen. Nie wieder Rodenstock, jedes andere Billigglas hat bessere optische Eigenschaften.

Sollbruchstelle
Rodenstockgläser für 1300,- Euro gekauft.
Nach ca. 15 Monaten fängt die phototrope (selbsttönende) Beschichtung sich an den Rändern auf zu lösen. Nun blättert die Beschichtung immer mehr ab.
Von Rodenstock gibt es keine Kulanz, nur ein labidare
Antwort. Das ist keine Qualität; das ist Schrott.
Meiner Meinung nach ist das eine Sollbruchstelle, damit man sich neue Gläser kaufen muss.
Die Technik ist in diesem Bereich weit fortgeschritten und schon vor vielen jahren hatte ich phototrope Gläser von andern Herstellern, die sehr lange gehalten haben.

Die erweiterte Garantie von 36 Monaten auf Rodenstock Premium Gläsern wird nicht an Kunden der Apollofilialen weitergegeben!
Auf Nachfrage bei Rodenstock versteckt man sich hinter den abweichenden Garantiebedingungen von Apollon und bietet 50% Kulanz an. Dabei sind die Gläser dann immer noch immer 300,-€ teurer als ein gleichwertiges Produkt der Firma Steiner vom Optiker nebenan.
Nie wieder Apollo. Nie wieder Rodenstock.

I bought computer glasses at a good price. I use only a week, but am happy with the purchase.

Ich habe mir 2018 eine Gleitsichtbrille mit Rodenstockgläsern anfertigen lassen. Vor ca. drei Monaten begannen die Gläser am unteren Rand grau zu werden. Es wurde ständig mehr, daraufhin ging ich zu meinem Optiker. Dieser sagte mir, man werde die Gläser an Rodenstock einsenden.
Nun bekam ich die Antwort: angeblich sind die Gläser durch meine Schuld , putzen, in der Hitze getragen usw...., kaputt gegangen!
Lächerlich!
Gläser für 1300€ mit allen möglichen Beschichtungen sollten doch länger halten!
Ich habe andere Brillen, von anderen Optikern, die zum Teil nur die Hälfte gekostet haben, da passiert so etwas nicht.
Schlechter Kundenservice!
Keine Kulanz !
Nie mehr Rodenstock! !
