Probably the worst service experience…
Probably the worst service experience we have ever had at a restaurant.
When we arrived at the place, it took about 10 minutes before anyone bothered to come and greet us. It was clear from the waiter's demeanor that he felt inconvenienced by our presence since we didn't have a reservation, and he had to check if there were any available tables.
After we were seated, it took at least another 15 minutes for the waiter to bother taking our drink orders. He seemed completely disinterested and couldn't care less if we were there or not.
We finally placed our food orders, with three of us ordering main courses and one ordering an appetizer as well. However, all the food was served at the same time. It's understandable that the food for our children would come out quickly, but serving my appetizer along with the main course made no sense, as it just sat there getting cold. Once again, the waiter showed no concern. The appetizer, a tartare, was honestly the worst tartare I have ever had. It was just a lump of meat with a dash of raw truffle on top.
Our pizzas were okay, but I expected better from an Italian pizzeria. Our local pizza place back home in Denmark serves the same quality.
When someone finally bothered to take our dessert order, only three out of four orders were served. When I brought this to the attention of the waiter, he once again showed complete indifference and didn't apologize for the mistake. He simply marched into the kitchen and returned with the missing dessert 10 minutes later.
The dessert, Tiramisu, was probably the only highlight of our visit to the restaurant.
When we asked for the bill, the same disinterested waiter attended to us. After waiting for 15 minutes with no progress, we finally went up to the counter to pay. Even then, it took another 10 minutes before I could finally pay and leave this terrible restaurant.
Service is everything in the restaurant industry, and it was completely lacking here.
We have visited over 100 restaurants in recent years, and this was definitely the low point in terms of service.
