Purchased 12 manga from 11/13/2021
Purchased 12 manga from 11/13/2021. Items were split up and sent in partial boxes. Guess how long the last 2 came? Took them an entire year and 3 months counting because the last two were out of stock. If you smth out of stock run.
Would Not Recommend — Lost $200
I purchased a box set of the complete Demon Slayer manga (with shipping protection), got a notice that it had shipped and waited for my order. Due to shipping delays worldwide, I chalked up the wait as understandable but months later never received my order or any updates beyond it being shipped.
When I reached out to RightStuf, they told me too much time had passed and to try talking to my local post office. I tried filing a claim with the shipper indicated on their website under the order confirmation (FedEx) and they denied ever being used. When I tried contacting the shipping insurance company I had paid extra for, they were likewise unable to help me. No refund or credit was issued.
TL;DR - They lost $200 worth of product and told me good luck trying to find it on my own
Poor inventory control and customer service
I used to love getting stuff from them, but don't have anything in your life come through that impacts your order short notice. They cannot and will not help you. I had an preorder that I needed to update the shipping on, but the order had started to be processed. I contacted them and they could not do anything and suggested I contact the delivery company to get the package rerouted. I asked for the routing number, but I was told it had not been created yet and not shipped! So, tracking not made, but they cannot change the address. So that means that they will not update their work flow for a customer. This is laughable as it always takes so long for them to ship out in stock order as it is. I feel like I am just money to them and they cannot give their customer support any tools to help people.
If the old address does not return the package and I cannot get it forwarded, I will be out money even with the insurance as it will be "Delivered".
They must not have much control of their inventory on orders so I cannot trust buying anymore from them.

Love them! Very happy with my purchases as I had a smooth experience. Ordered three times from them for the first time around their black friday sale on Nov and my first two orders have already been delivered in a week’s time. Everything was packaged really nicely and their live chat has been super helpful! Will order more from them in the future.
Gaslighting customers on the reg
I have been waiting for my Hatsune Miku Street Ver Bicute Bunnies Vocaloid Figure for almost a year.
I have emailed their company previously about this and was given a very rude response back.
Their company took my money, sent half my order, and proceeded to ghost and gaslight me for months.
I just wanted to be updated every so often, like one email every few months.
I would have liked some semblance of empathy conveyed (I.E. "We understand your frustration... please bear with us...") at anytime.
This company could have taken so many steps to retain me as customer, they have failed at customer service.
My go-to online store for manga
EDIT: Customer service is acceptable. Based on my recent experiences the quality control seems to be getting worse. Would not recommend to collectors (i.e. those who want items in pristine condition) but otherwise a fine store
I've ordered hundreds of dollars ($600+) of books off rightstuf and my experience has been largely positive.
Packaging is excellent and the books are typically cheaper than MSRP so I usually buy in bulk once there's a series I want to read. Shipping times are not super great but they are acceptable.
Other reviews mention issues with shipping costs so for reference I live in the US and I order books in bulk so shipping costs are negligible compared to the cost of the total order.
Occasionally the books come with some dings or weird gunk on them. Issues are rare enough that I don't really have any complaints
I haven't had an experience with customer service yet. This combined with the occasional book quality issues (considering they also sell 'damaged' merchandise for cheaper) is a 4/5 experience

EXPENSIVE SHIPPING
Do not shop here unless you absolutely cannot find the items you desperately want and is only available on this site.
Their shipping is total BS!! I’ve had packages that is bigger than the one they sent me and they charged me $14 and on top of that, $5 in taxes and an optional “insurance” for a package in a medium sized bubble mailer!! Literally do not shop with them!! Horrible company to do business with!!
Amazing service and price
Amazing service and price, very easy to find what I'm looking for snd to order but the shipping to where I am is a lot of money and not always worth it for what I'm buying which is a shame.
Horrible return service
If they send you a damaged item you will be responsible to pay for return shipping. Kind of a middle finger to the customer in my opinion. Also the return process is clucky and takes too many steps on top of the extra cost. This is the thanks for doing business with Right Stuf. Unfortunate but I'll be going elsewhere from now on.
Do not trust Right Stuff
Lack of communication with pre-orders. Do not pre-order anything from RightStuf. They were recently bought out by CrunchyRoll(red flag) so certain material and products are unavailable and the orders were shifted to one or two companies(either eroanime or buyanime). These companies have no real web presence and RightStuf has the orders listed as canceled and did not contact myself about the items till i contacted them since there was no updates about my pre-orders.
Their Shipping Policy Is Outdated To The Times
They're good for in stock items only. Beware of any preorders or out of stock items together. They don't ship partial orders, which means your order could be in perpetual "pending fulfillment" -forever-. Ordered something last year and I still haven't gotten it even though some of the items are "in stock", but then went "out of stock" because of their shipping policy.
If only they would update their shipping policy to modern times, alot of customers won't complain as much. But as it stands, it's outdated to the times, and only hurts the loyal customers and makes it seem like all they care is just profits.
Total Garbage Company AVOID
Just another of many companies using COVID-19 as an excuse for bad customer service. At some point, TRSI decided to implement a policy of not sending out partial orders, without telling customers. I placed several orders in November and December of 2020 during their annual holiday sale. In March, I receive an email stating that my card has been declined. In the four months of waiting for the order, I was issued a new card. You cannot edit payment information on the website, so I called customer service. No matter how many times I called, I always got the answering service. I left a message for them to call me back. Nothing. I call and left a message asking them to charge another card on the account, they update a later order but cancel the first order. When I call them again and finally get through and ask why they canceled the first order, the CSR says I never contacted them about the first order, and that they will not honor the sale price. For the last order placed during this period (12/26/2020), I didn’t hear anything for nearly a year (10/28/2021) other than a few emails stating that due to lack of availability they would have to cancel part of my order. When the order hit my account, my bank automatically froze everything thinking it was fraudulent (the original order was $1,350.83, after cancellations the new amount was $1,200.14). I ask if the order can be held until my bank is done with their assessment and the CSR ran the card again, making things worse. As soon as my bank unfreezes my account, I email the CSR back to let them know everything is all set. They canceled my order and invited me to reorder everything at full price. I call them on their BS and said I would never do business with them again, so they canceled the rest of my orders. They didn’t refund my orders mind you, I had to contact them again for that. Total garbage company. Oh, and did I mention that after waiting all that time they weren’t even shipping the order in its entirety?
CRAP company, Not worth the gamble
Never order from them. If your order has no issues you'll be fine. But if you happen to have an issue they WILL NOT fix it, even if it is their fault and not the fault of the shipper. It isn't worth the gamble.
Had a defective product in my order. They didn't help make it right. They said I could return it at my own shipping cost and then order a new one and repay shipping on the new order. They also said I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee on my defective item. Why would I be paying a restocking fee for something damaged?? So they can send it out to another person?
I ended up eating a huge cost in shipping considering I live outside the US. Essentially paid over half the cost of the item in shipping and fees, but didn't get a product in the end.
I will NEVER be shopping with this company again.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I ordered some manga 7 months ago and never got any communication from RightStuf about delays. Each time I got in touch with them they responded saying "sorry" then immediately closed the customer service case without giving me a chance to have a conversation. Strongly do not recommend.

Terrible Service
Placed an order half a year ago. Did not ship until now (and not even the full order). Notified me it had shipped a day after as if to avoid me canceling the order that I had forgotten about at this point. Asked them how to stop shipment, said I had to ship it back on my own and would not cover return label. When I asked if I would get a restocking fee they said no, but then charged me a restocking fee of $8 anyways.
All in all, a terrible experience and sadly not uncommon as this almost happened to me a year ago, and clearly other reviewers are referencing similar experiences. Rightstuff needs to get with the times and prevent everything I just outlined from ever happening. Feels like a site designed to scam Weebs who just want manga that they can't find elsewhere.
Pending Fulfilled for over 6 months
I tried to call the company because I ordered in November and now it is June. I was asking if they could just send out the items that were in stock for me but they refused. I also tried to refund online but I couldn't. Its really hard for me to collect when i'm missing over 10 volumes. Rightstuf, please send out what you can soon this was supposed to be a Christmas present but it's already summer now.
shipment received in perfect condition
I recently received a shipment of 16 volumes of manga and was very impressed by how well it was packaged! Everything was secured, and there were no bent corners or dented spines.
My order was placed in October and took about seven months to ship while waiting for all the volumes to come back in stock, so I was pleased that it was all handled with care.
