Bought a very expensive living room set…
Bought a very expensive living room set from Raymor and Flanagan, we had been looking for over 6 months, so we were very excited finding a set that was almost everything we wanted, we agreed on a 2 week delivery, being my family would be up for a visited a week later, it was perfect timing! Called my sales person Debra to make sure all was as agreed, got a message back from Debra we were set for the 12th of July had my old couch picked up on the 10th. I can’t remember if I called Debra or she called me on the 12, but it was not good news, I explained again to her I was having family from FL visit! when you got my money, we agreed on 2 weeks, not a month, and not a bunch of excuses! We had 7 family member from FL at our home, our living room was a bunch of mix and match out side furniture! It was so humiliating! I have not heard from Debra, she really don’t care about the humiliating situation she put me in ! I now believe she knew before the sale of this particular living room set that it was on back order from April, but to get the sale/commission she told me two weeks, if she told me a month, I think she knew the sale would not of happen! I believe Raymour and Flanagan is all about the sale/commission. After that you don’t matter you’ll get your furniture whenever! Then they add insult to injury and add an absorbent amount for delivery! I don’t even want the furniture now!

We knew pretty much what we were looking for going into the store. Looked at their on line catalog first. The sales person (Jerry) was very helpful demonstrating the couches we were interested in.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Raymour will not see another dollar from our pocket! What started out as a pleasant trip to shop around and use a $300 gift card from purchasing a $5000 mattress turned into a stressful unpleasant experience. Apparently the associate that greeted us did not like the idea that we did not need someone to follow us around. We were LOOKING! Every couple minutes she would be hovering around. We finally decided we would buy 2 very expensive pillows. The pillows were boxed on a display and priced. We picked up 2 pillows and went to customer care. Everyone was frozen because we had brought something up to actually buy. IMAGINE THAT! When I made a comment that we really didn’t need an associate the woman who had been stalking us rudely said “ yes you do. It’s a FURNITURE store! This was very embarrassing. I continued to make the purchase. Once she accessed our account she immediately became all nice and leaned over and said “ you know you still have $11000 available to spend. “ The art of high pressure sales and working for commission was definitely on display. Apparently the female associate felt since we were just buying pillows it wasn’t worth being nice to us. That was until she saw that we potentially would be buying a lot more. Well we will but not from there and definitely not from her!
