I am a landlord that was charged for a fuse replacement on an extractor hood in my property when this was the responsibility of the tenant. After many emails and incompetent responses from various managers, I have decided to write this review.
Do not trust these incompetent managers, who are only on commission. There was one manager who agreed with me that the cost should have been with the tenant, but could not do anything about it. The contractor they used lied about the wiring, but as I work with electrics, I know what to ask.

Tried ringing the Stratford branch and left multiple voicemails never got back to us. Rang another branch who we then booked a viewing for a property on Saturday 7th March at 12:15. We waited & no one showed up. Tried calling but could not get through. Have gone to find the property to make sure we were in the right place to then discover it has actually sold. Not sure why we had been booked in for a viewing or was not told that the property had been sold so the viewing was cancelled. Not the best customer service & would not recommend using them.

Excellent experience with RA Bennet in Broadway. Amelia, Emily and Isabella were always extremely helpful and responsive. Amelia has been especially helpful and kind working with my elderly Gran to sell her house as she has moved into a home. Thanks All!

Desperate for business - or just really, really stupid: non stop phone calls despite selling house ( luckily with a proper estate agent ) over a year ago.. AVOID

Currently viewing a lot of properties. Appointment to view a property with R A Bennett. Met punctually with a warm welcome by Trainee negotiator Maya from the Dursley office. Maya handed me a set of particulars (the only negotiator to have details ready to give to me on viewing from the 4 properties that I had viewed that week with other agents). Big plus. All questions that I asked were either answered from notes at hand or written down for the information to be relayed to me later. The appointment was unhurried. A few key features highlighted without being too verbose or over the top. That evening I received an email with clear answers to questions that I had asked such as general running costs, who owned and was responsible for which boundary. Excellent service and a diligent member of staff.

Ellouise and Jessica have been very helpful in finding a tenant for my apartment which I was unable to sell. Ellouise especially has done everything she can to get it rented. I was fortunate in having a very good tenant previously and hope the new tenant will be as good. There does seem to be an issue with losing keys as noted by someone else.

Absolutely awful company. Rented my house with them, nothing but issues on their end. They lost keys, gave wrong dates for appointments, didn't carry out checks on time and still after several months have had no reply about deposit returns. Avoid!

Referring to the Warwick office who come across as amateurs. They had one buyer for us at a substantial discount on the asking price and stopped sending anyone else over to view. I told them not to stop until we had a memo of sale but no. What's happened, the buyers have had to pull out because their buyers pulled out. Two weeks after supposedly getting the sale. Never again.

Tried to look at a property, offered two and a half days in the week, and they had noone available to show me the property. Tried with the next week, same availability, still no one available. If you are marketing your property with them, and wonder why it is not selling, it's because it is impossible to view with them!! I'd chose another agent!

Please avoid this agent at any cost. We had the most traumatising experience after the tenancy check out with several false claims made. Totally unprofessional.

We currently live approx. 1.5 hours away from Broadway and wish to find our forever home there, or the surrounding villages.
We firstly booked and attended an appointment with their in-house mortgage broker (see separate feedback). We were then introduced to one of the teams sales negotiators, Isabella Ritchie, to discuss our property requirements and current availability of properties. "WOW" is the first word that comes to mind. Isabella's professionalism is second to none. She actively listened to our wants and needs asking us questions to help narrow down our search. Her knowledge of the different areas was fantastic, off the top of her head knowing if there was a village shop, pub, church etc. and where the nearest town for larger shops was located (including miles/travel time). Isabella's personality is very calming, friendly and helpful, you immediately know you are in good hands. Her work ethic shines through and she has already telephoned since our meeting on Saturday with new properties she believes would suit our needs. Isabella is a true asset to the Broadway team and they are very lucky to have her.

We used RA Bennet to let our property and fully manage it- what a mistake! They withheld our rent, told us on the phone that the tenants hadn't paid rent which was completely untrue.
They had been telling us (landlords) that tenants wouldn't answer the phone to arrange repairs and had been telling the tenants that we as landlords would not pay for the repairs! We now manage the property ourselves and it is much less stress and communication is so much easier.
Landlords - manage the property yourself this company only make life harder and make your tenants think you are a terrible landlord.
Tenants - beware this company will lie about you to landlords and get you a terrible reputation.

I feel supported very well by Jessica who has checked in on me and has been kind and helpful about my situation and my rental journey.

Appalling estate agent. Would not recommend. Went to view a house and they forgot the key, then we rearranged and they forgot the appointment and then tried to push us back further to view the house when we were first to view it originally! Then when we went in for a mortgage advisor appointment there, they were discussing the house we had put an offer on in front of us and saying “it’s estimated value of what they can get if it’s done up”and then booking a viewing for another client after having that conversation in front of us! They then never phoned us to tell other people have bided on the house until we phoned them and it was too late to counter offer. Then we never heard anything until they sold it. DO NOT RECOMMEND SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!

They use very shady business practises. They tell local builders how much you have offered so that they offer higher. the builders will then do the place up then sell it back through them and they can get more commission. Very dirty practises I would avoid.

Evesham branch constantly sending me details of wrong type of houses, even though I have emailed them 6 times, spoken to them on the phone and unsubscribed from marketing, but still they send me wrong types of houses.

I’ve been told branches are targeted to send so many emails, make so many calls etc a week, so basically they are just spamming their customer base.

Ended up blocking their account to spam folder.

Would suggest anyone looking to sell a house looks elsewhere, as buyers like me avoid them.

I can't fault R A Bennetts Broadway we have received a super professional, polite and excellent service from the team. We originally went on with an online agent, big mistake. After having met Amelia at Bennetts and giving her a run for her money with questions as to why should we engage you, we were highly satisfied with all her answers and have been absolutely delighted and reassured as to the support the whole team provide. Straight talk and a passion for selling dedicated to the buyer. This team are on it, did all my viewings and maintained a highly professional calm approach. Joe was great with viewings, friendly, professional, cheerful and provided regular weekly feedback to us on how our property was doing and made suggestions for keeping it fresh. Always obliging. And finally Emily has been brilliant in conducting the viewings also, calm and professional at all times, Emily has facilitated getting us over the final hurdle from the initial offer, to keeping us efficiently informed every step of the way and being the liaison between us, the buyer and the solicitors without delay. Truly brilliant and knowledgeable. I thoroughly recommend the Broadway team and I have previously been an advocate of online selling before but not now, this team really have earnt their fee. They work hard, are driven, down to earth and very nice people. Thank you for everything you have been AMAZING!

This Estate Agent does careful market appraisals but the offers rarely match the market value and communication is generally poor (mainly phone) and the complaints system non-existent.

Probably the underlying cause is a conflict of interest between providing mortgages and serving the sellers' best interest.
