Wonderful time away the 4 of us in this great quirky camper.
Very comfy sleep and our young daughter's enjoyed sleeping in the pop top.
This company has looked after me since my first conversion 3 years ago. I value having a UK-based human contact; that is what you can expect with Quirky. I wouldn't consider moving elsewhere. Between the 2 of us, I have been able to slowly grow my business with good quality clientele. I have had issues with damage and cancellations over the years, but as we continue to evolve as owners and agents, we're improving and streamlining our problem-solving. The company is staffed by people who own their own vans; they genuinely understand the difficulties owners face. They also sympathise with clients who have unusual requirements. You can book a Quirky camper with confidence that everyone you deal with will endeavour to support the most sacred of all experiences: the holiday!

We had an absolute blast travelling the Highlands of Scotland.
We were off grid the whole week, managing to find places to park up with magnificent views of mountains, forests or Lochs.
Rue was a pleasure to call home for the week, such great amenities, so warm! and very comfortable.
Cooked dinner and breakfast every day, and we managed to cram a week's worth of food (meat and veg) into the fridge, which has a small freezer compartment which is where we stored the meat.
We chose to have the toilet as well which was a good call for being off grid. Was super easy to use and we found a place to empty the chemical waste, and full up the fresh water tank, for free!
Will definitely use Rue again, as we want to do the trip again to different parts of the Highlands and some of the isles.

This was our first experience of a camper van. We wanted to see what worked for us and what didn’t - could we cope with the two of us and two dogs for a long weekend? We found Valerie through Quirky Campers and had a good booking experience. Our hosts, Rebecca and Ed were very responsive to emails and took me through the whole van before I set off for our adventure. We had a successful weekend, and Valerie was perfect for our purpose. She is a big van but I soon managed to navigate her through the small towns of Somerset, and she coasted very happily along the motorways. Valerie is equipped with everything you could possibly need, and the bed is huge!

We found ourselves discovering new pieces / details everyday. We especially also loved the star / color changing lights at night. Truly couldn’t recommend Vallery more!!!

Loved our 5 days at Easter time in Wanderlust! QC were competitively priced and really easy to deal with, and the owner was so kind and helpful. We were total newbies and had to text her once but she got straight back to us. Stayed warm and dry in the Welsh rain, enjoyed being able to pootle around and stay in 3 different places. I've already recommended QC to friends!

As van owners, we tried really hard to provide a wonderful experience for Quirky Campers ‘customers’. However, it is worth thinking very carefully about how much you value your van before you let other people use it. Whilst people may seem lovely and honourable when they collect your van - if they cause damage you might see a completely different side of their personality. And, if your van is used a lot, things are highly likely to go wrong at some points.
A couple took our van on a trip and caused damage which cost us over £450 to repair. They refused to pay the full cost and even made a formal complaint against us because we asked them to! Interestingly, when they had initially phoned to report the damage they (understandably) sounded apologetic and, at that time, immediately offered full payment for repair. However, having changed their mind about paying, they were fully supported by the QC team.
Now, after waiting nearly a month for the outcome (with QC withholding nearly £500 of our money throughout this time) QC have upheld their complaint. This has resulted in us having to pay over £100 towards the overall repair cost for damage caused directly to our van - which had been in beautiful condition, having been professionally converted less than 2 years ago. This is even despite our highly experienced specialist campervan mechanic (who assessed and repaired the damage) having emailed to show QC photos he took of the damage caused. He assured them the repair was the same size of fitting, that there was no extra cost for repairing the damage swiftly in preparation for the next customer, and advised them specifically ‘The screen was visibly damaged by human error’. QC appear to have entirely ignored his professional knowledge and instead chose to support the people who damaged our van, with no care as to the impact of this on us.
What made this experience so shocking for us was that, from the outset of the ‘dispute’, the QC team were just as spectacularly unsupportive towards us. They seemed cold and disinterested, and even annoyed at my attempts to gain some sense of their understanding in what seemed initially like an unfortunate but straightforward situation.
So you might want to think extremely carefully before you trust yourselves and your van to the QC business processes - which perhaps seem largely fine when all is going well, but when you could do with their kindness, understanding, or support in the face of unreasonable customers - your distress may be multiplied greatly, as ours has been.
Other reviews have highlighted that this business appears to favour support of the customers who hire vans and indeed, especially when it comes to a complaint (however unfair it is), this has entirely been our experience. The company will happily take a big chunk of bookings fees but the feeling for us as van owners was very strongly that they really just do not care.
Although we had many bookings organised for the coming months, we were so upset by this experience that we removed our van from the Quirky Campers site. It just does not feel safe.
Be warned.

We had a wonderful long weekend exploring the Peak District in Saira and couldn't have found a better Campervan. Not only is Saira beautiful, but had everything you could need. There was no detail too small. Definitely one of the most well designed, thought out and comfortable vans we've experienced. Sairas owners Sue and Roger were really kind and made the whole process easy. We'd highly recommend.

I collected Miro and headed off for an adventure. The van was really well stocked with everything I needed. The handbook provided was very helpful and clear. Everything worked - the heating was great, the hot water and comfy bedding. The weekend went well and it has really helped me decide what I want to include in my own van in the future - the magnetic fairy lights are a must buy!!

I’ve had a really positive experience working with Quirky Campers as an owner renting out my campervan for over 2 years now.
They’ve been nothing but professional from start to finish, and genuinely lovely to deal with. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and they’re always happy to help.
It really feels like a family-run company that cares, which makes a big difference. The team are friendly, approachable, and easy to communicate with, which takes a lot of stress out of the process.
A special mention to Sherel, who has always been incredibly professional, helpful, and supportive throughout. She’s been great to deal with.
I honestly wish more companies operated like this. Small company, great people, and a really positive experience all round.

I do not recommend anyone to hire their vehicle on QC. I have listed campervans with Quirky Campers and my experience as an owner has been extremely stressful.
The platform markets itself as supporting both guests and owners, but in reality when things go wrong the burden falls entirely on the owner.
Over time I have dealt with multiple serious issues caused by guests, including:
• Vans returned damaged
• Toilets returned full and vans left in unacceptable condition
• Fuel not paid for at petrol stations, resulting in debt collectors contacting me
• Parking tickets and speeding fines issued in my name
• Items lost, broken or taken from the vans
• Guests disputing damage they clearly caused
In nearly every case guests simply refuse to pay and the owner is left trying to recover costs while also dealing with insurance claims, garages, fines and administration. Every time this happened QC takes the side of the guest as they are worried about their reviews.
The process is exhausting and owners are expected to carry a huge amount of risk despite Quirky taking high commission on every booking.
After multiple incidents like this, I no longer feel that the platform adequately protects the people actually providing the vehicles.
Prospective owners should be aware that when problems occur, the level of support may not match what is expected.

Bruno is an amazing campervan and his owners have lovingly created him with everything you could want for a trip. I went to Scotland in December 2025 and the heating in the van was fabulous and kept me really warm. Bruno drives like a dream and I found he could easily cope up all the mountain passes and narrow single tracks, helped by having the camera on the back of the van, the great navigation system that Rich connected to my phone and the added smaller mirrors on wing mirrors, which all helped me to keep Bruno and myself safe. The built in bed was really comfy and there was so much storage everywhere that it was easy to put all my belongings neatly away and keep the van tidy. It was thoughtful to have a little speaker in the van to connect my phone to when I was cooking my tea. I loved every single second of our adventures together and will definitely be hiring him again soon.

We absolutely loved our rental of Harold the campervan, everything about the rental was simple and easy. Perfect for entertaining our toddler!
Michael kindly took us around the van before we started our tour, answering all of our questions (very helpful being our first campervan trip).
We spent an incredible week exploring the south of Wales staying at multiple sites across Cardiff, the Gower and Tenby.
The layout of Harold was perfect for our small family, the nooks/bunks came in good use, though it didn't stop our son from wanting to join us on the very comfortable bed!
We used the small electric oil radiator most nights which was perfect for the chilly September nights.
We will be booking through Quirky Campers again soon!!!

I booked a weekend away to see my son after passing all my card info across and excepting them to take the money 7 days before we where ment to go the owner cancelled on me even though after ringing him 3 times finally to get through to say it should be fine then hanging up and not responding to any of my text messages as it’s in the garage. I get it thing do happen but why are quirky campers allowing booking to go ahead if the vehicle is having works done personally I would say it’s so unprofessional. I had to ring quirky campers to take my card details off there system as I didn’t want them having my information as there system is so backwards the name of the camper was hampi so be careful with the owner of the vehicle as he should of stopped booking going ahead at the start on the site.
After the owner of another van (booked through a different site) had to cancel the day before our trip due to genuine reasons, I was in a panic trying to find a replacement. The owner of Vanilla Pod messaged me via WhatsApp at 10.20 pm, and I replied within two minutes explaining that I had already accepted a booking from another camper van site.
However, I soon realised that full payment for the Vanilla Pod had still been taken. I contacted the owner immediately, who told me to get in touch with Quirky Campers (QC). Initially, QC were helpful and advised that a refund would be at the owner’s discretion. I passed this on to the owner, who then blocked me and insisted all further communication go via email. Since then, there has been no communication at all from the owner.
QC refunded their own booking fee after I explained the situation, but I am still over £370 out of pocket. Despite their policy stating refunds are at the owner’s discretion, I was refused the chance to leave a review — even though I paid for a service I never received.
Terrible service from the owner of Vanilla Pod, and I would not recommend Quirky Campers, who need to seriously review their terms and conditions so that others don’t get caught out in the same way.
Our experience with Steve the EV has been amazing, you have everything you need. I believe Olivia has done a great job with Steve as the van is fully equipped and you only need to enjoy it. Water and electricity is running very good as well as heating which is so important in these cold months. We spend and wonderful weekend in Herforshire so you can use a single charge from Leicester to Hereford, but if this is your first time driving a electric van you need to be very gentle with the acceleration to use the battery properly.
