Chandlers Cross Branch a real disappointing Christmas Eve visit
We visit Prime Steak & Grill Chandler's Cross every Christmas Eve but this will most definitely be our last festive visit. Disappointingly each year the service and atmosphere has declined despite the price point of this restaurant.
Our table had no Christmas Crackers for the second year running - small detail but does set the scene! Coats were not taken or offered to be taken. Plates were cleared away from table whilst other diners were still eating. Desert menus were presented before diners had finished their main courses - we were not a late booking and there were many diners in the restaurant.
Half way through our evening we (and the table beside us) became aware of a terrible cold draft and asked if whatever door had been opened could be closed please - this took three requests by which time some members of our table and the table adjoining us had resorted to putting on the coats that luckily we were left with.
Waiting staff were really just going through the motions. We like this venue for various family occasions but sadly will not be returning - it is just too expensive for the lack of service and atmosphere experienced.
