My families 3rd car from Powerlease and my first EV. Couldn’t have asked for a better service from the team. Thanks to everyone! Couldn’t recommend Powerlease enough

For our first steps into
owning an electric vehicle we couldn't have chosen a better company. From test driving to considering range etc we were helped with our decision making.
If you're considering purchasing an EV I would highly recommend Powerlease.

The real feel of customer experience is when things do not go right. I bought a car from Powerlease and due to a misunderstanding one aspect of the must have from me was missing from the vehicle. I raised the issue with Craig Ambler and with a little of to and fro he agreed to my solution to resolve the issue. I admire the flexibility shown by him which he need not have shown. I would have given a 5 star rating since I still feel the matter should have been told to me when I bought the car but at the end of the day I was happy with the purchase and so far there have been no issues

Overall responses to messages were quick and the price of the car was fair.
Buying process
Videos and photos supplied were of poor quality, especially as a distance purchaser, requested 2 videos as the car was not valeted on first video.
Advertising about vehicle tax changes was a little misleading as after month end the cars that hadn’t sold were still advertised with a free year of vehicle tax.
Would have been nice to have the original OME charge lead , Powerlease did supply a 3 point as requested, but I have purchased a type 2 lead as well, would have been nice to get both even if you had to pay for one.
Paid for delivery, car arrived with a cover of dust from the yard (near train tracks) and some heavy polish buffing marks on the door and wing. Response was as distance buyer you can return the car. Whist I understand this point, it would have better to just have the car delivered in cleaner condition. First job I had to do was to wash car to establish condition.

DO NOT TAKE WARRANTIES FROM THEM IS SCAM.
Bought tesla recently, and it stop charging properly, seat sensor issue. Warranty denied claims , don’t get in to trap getting this warranty.

My last email to powerlease was what do we do now , because I wasnt sure how to deal with this. And … I was completely ignored.

Dealership itself might be okay , but you have to read all terms and conditions. Its my fault I didn’t.

From start to one month into ownership has been really good.
You only know how good a company is when something goes wrong and when I recently bought a Volvo xc40 I had a problem after a week of ownership.
They took it back and got it repaired quickly, then a second issue was dealt with quickly.
Do can’t fault them 5 stars.

Brandon and Cameron were absolutely brilliant. In a torrential downpour they took the time to go over the car we have bought, and explained everything I had asked. They asked about our journey down and the kind of day we had, engaged us about how we planned the journey home. They made us a coffee and went over every aspect of the paperwork as well. A total, and complete change from a main Hyundai dealer that we have experienced through another car we have. I would have no hesitation in recommending them, or returning to them for a further purchase.

We bought a 3.5 year old Kia E-Niro. They neglected to mention that there was no service history with the vehicle. I asked where it was when I picked up the car, having already paid in full. Not much I could do about it at that point. Yes, perhaps I should have asked about it, but I think on a deal with this value, it should have been highlighted by the dealer.

Incompetent garage! Agreed a price on a car, went to pay a deposit only to be told the car is underpriced and they want an extra £1000. Who does that?

Cameron was really helpful and assisted us with everything we needed.

I recently purchased a car from Powerlease, and the experience has been far from satisfactory. The process started off poorly with a delayed collection of nearly one week, which was quite inconvenient and frustrating.

Furthermore, after a few weeks of owning the car, I noticed that some areas, specifically the rear wing and the front left door, had been poorly resprayed. This was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase, and it speaks to the lack of transparency and quality control from Powerlease

I am deeply disappointed with the overall experience and the condition of the car. I hope Powerlease can improve their communication and quality assurance processes to prevent future customers from facing similar issues. Based on my current experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.

Just contacted this company regarding the purchase of a car...... still available.
Asked about delivery, as we are 265 miles away......don't deliver to Scotland.
Pointed out that Berwick upon Tweed is further north.
We don't deliver to Scotland. Company policy.

Bought MG ZS this weekend and was very happy with the whole process. Was skeptical of doing an online purchase but the car was like new and everything I was told by Cameron and Laura was true which is rare for a lot of dealerships. A bit slow on the email responses but everything got sorted

If you need to get hold of them to enquire about a car I’d suggest phoning them…they NEVER respond to emails or contact through car websites like CarGurus etc….
I’m currently abroad on holiday and 3 times last week I’ve tried to get hold of them about a car they are selling…..never a single response yet the car still shows for sale.

Update….after leaving this review I’ve had comms from them. Too late to buy a car, but they have explained some issues with car selling site response emails. Just been an unfortunate set of events but I’m sure we will find the car we are looking for elsewhere!

Bought an ID3 first Edition yesterday. Superb service and experience, being served by Ollie. Great spectrum of Electric Vehicles. Very happy with the car and service received. Highly recommend Powerlease if you are in the market for an EV. Thank you Ollie, thank you Powerlease!

Brought a Tesla Model Y Long Range from Powerlease.
Initially discussed with Craig who was massively helpful. Discussed the process thoroughly and provided sound advise on best way to part exchange my car.
Picked up the car and was dealt by Cameron who again was brilliant. Car looked immaculate and the payment process was easy.
Very pleased customer and would fully recommend this company.
