Poopoopidoo est un atelier de création artisanale basé à Angoulême, en France, fondé et animé par une luthière passionnée. Chaque pièce est pensée, fabriquée et finie à la main, dans le respect d'un savoir-faire minutieux et d'une exigence de qualité constante. L'atelier se distingue par la fabrication d'instruments de musique originaux, notamment des kalimbas et des harpikas, conçus pour offrir une expérience sonore chaleureuse et accessible, aussi bien aux débutants qu'aux musiciens confirmés. À côté de cette activité de lutherie, Poopoopidoo propose également des créations textiles comme des couches lavables, ainsi que des bijoux et accessoires faits main, tous imaginés avec le même souci du détail et de l'authenticité. Chaque commande est une aventure artisanale : les matériaux sont choisis avec soin, les finitions sont réalisées avec patience, et chaque client reçoit un produit unique, porteur d'une véritable histoire. Poopoopidoo mise sur la proximité avec sa clientèle, la transparence sur ses méthodes de fabrication, et une volonté sincère de proposer des objets durables plutôt que standardisés. Mixed feelings

I love the kalimba's. Very unique and high quality. But I have been struggling with the harpika. The accessories are too expensive for what they are. I have bought the wrong ones and I have to pay alot for just a two or three strings plus shipping so I get them, but I'm not gonna buy them anymore. I still like the kalimba's and I want two more of them.

Thank you for taking the time to write review.
If you prefer to avoid the shipping fees , check the tutorial section of the website you will find the diameter and material of each string . This will allow you to go to your local music shop and purchase the closest one to the missing string .
Another possibility for later could be to actually purchase strings from the shop when you purchase a kalimba if you end up adopting one . As strings are lightweight , it will not cost more shipping than the kalimba alone.

In your local shop just make sure to ask for phosphor bronze strings ( the yellow ones ) or steel ( the silver ones ) and if they don't have exactly the same diameters , chose the smaller rather than the thicker if the difference is huge .

I have an excellent experience with…

I have an excellent experience with poopoopidoo. I bought a 41 string harpika from them and now ordered more strings. It's a very good experience. Everything arrived on time, well packaged. The harpika is excellent quality!

first poopoopidoo definitely not the last

I came to Poopoopidoo after my 46key kalimba from another brand got a huge crack in the body after only 2 months. And I’m kind of glad it happened :) Their kalimbas are really beautiful, like little pieces of art. You can feel that a lot of care goes into them, especially the sound. you’ll never receive a kalimba with dead or buzzing tines. Their kalimbas also have one of the biggest ranges on the market which is very important for someone who wants to play more complex pieces.

I’m pretty sure this won’t be my last one :)

Kalimbas artisanales d'une grande…

Kalimbas artisanales d'une grande beauté et qualité, colis préparés avec soin et envoyés rapidement. La créatrice est vraiment sympathique et très disponible pour aider et conseiller.
Je lui ai acheté 5 de ses créations et ce ne seront pas les dernières, je les aimes vraiment beaucoup.
Je recommande vivement pour tout amoureux de la musique et pour qui a besoin d'instrument méditatif !
