Steer Clear of this Car Dealership
I purchased a Porsche from this dealership less than 2 months ago. Less than two weeks after the purchase, the vehicle started leaking coolant, and the dealership refused to cover the repair costs. They added a warranty and gap coverage through a third-party company, Ally, without informing me that these were optional. When the vehicle began leaking coolant, I contacted Ally and was informed that my policy only covered electrical issues, not mechanical ones. Consequently, I canceled the policy.
The dealership did not specify on my contract whether the vehicle was sold “as-is” or with a dealer warranty. In Pennsylvania, if a contract does not state “as-is,” it is assumed there is at least a 30-day warranty. Additionally, the salesperson, Jesus, assured me that all vehicles are covered by the dealership for six months. I attempted to contact the general manager, Melvin, multiple times. Initially, Melvin was willing to assist, but after learning I had canceled my warranty through Ally, he stopped responding to my inquiries. I sent Melvin the receipt which totaled over $2k for the repairs and he claimed he was “willing to help” but weeks later and still haven’t received a phone call, email or nothing.
Moreover, the dealership ran my credit through several banks without my consent, despite my preapproval through my bank when I arrived. This is especially concerning because I have a credit lock on my account, which should prevent unauthorized access. I contacted the banks to remove these inquiries; one complied, but the other did not. Due to this issue being a clear violation against the FCRA, I have consulted a consumer attorney to determine my next steps. Stay away from here!!
