I opened a business and it was only…

I opened a business and it was only open for three months. I think I had to put a 25% down and they took it out of my credit card every month. I had already overestimated the payroll for the month each month so I canceled the policy on February 2, 2025. My business has closed. I did not have a Workmen’s Comp. claim they build my credit card in February. They build my card in March and now sent to me in March. They want me to do an audit and turn in all sorts of personal information on my employees like what were their jobs what did they do? What was their title? How much did they make each week each one individually and I didn’t have that many employees but there was no claim on the policy. I don’t think I have a right to give out all that information to them about my employees or that they have a right to ask that and they have so over billed me and owe me A refund and they just keep stalling and want me to do paperwork. Worst company in the world to deal with! If I could give them a zero rating, I would do not let them automatic bill you or they will just keep on doing it and you have to fight to get the money back on a business that’s closed and has no employees and they just keep billing you on your credit card. Do not deal with pie Insurance!

Here we go again

Here we go again. Once again and hopefuly the last time I will ever have to deal with Pie Insurance. You have been a pain in my butt. I was informed in Feb that I owe $1900 from an audit. Im sure it is not right but that is fine. I want to get them out of my life. Well they attempted to take it from my checking account, I assumed it was successful because though I put a block on it because they were making un authorized withdrawals last year, they successfully made a $3200 after the block. Well I guess this time it was unsuccessful. They let me know that I still owed mid March and
I had 7 days to pay before they may send it to collections. There is no maybe. They will send the unpaid audit to collections within a month of informing you owe. Credit card companied give you more time.I attempted to pay around day 8 because of the weekend. They informed me that it was already sent to collections. I called collections and they didn't have my info. I called Pie back. I spoke to a lady who told me that she would email them to get it sent back to billing so I can pay it and I would recieve an email. I never got an email. I called again a few days later. I spoke to another person and he couldn't figure out if I owed anything because in their end says it was payed for even though it was never charged on my end. I informed him that i was never charged. He had to call me back a couple of hours later to sort it out. It was confirmed I still owed. He let me know that he would call me back in a couple of days and this I believe was Monday or Tuesday if this week, with the update on how I could pay, it is now Friday. I have not received a call or invoice. The fact that I have to continue to call this company to try to make a payment so I can get this audit closed out and I don't have to deal with them again is beyond frustrating. This company once again is incompetent on running a business and continue to pull one over on small businesses. Last time I had to report them to the insurance department. And it looks like I'm gonna have to take action once again. I'm hoping they see this review and get in contact with me, because I am over continuing to reach out to them, and I have recorded my conversations that I want to get this taken care of and pay for my outstanding bill, so I can move on.

Complete scam!!

Complete scam!!! Stay away from them. They will charge you at the beginning and even after cancellation they will just say there was an audit and unfortunately had to charge more. Would not recommend to any small business, worst company to deal with. DO NOT GET INSURANCE HERE!!!

Such a horrible company

Such a horrible company, was paying $1,000 a month for years. Then there was an accident where I needed to file a claim, and now they are terminating my policy!! What’s the point of having them at all? Over priced and not helpful.

Excellent Customer Service

Samantha was courtesy, quick to get the needed information, answer questions and put the services in place. She was ready to meet our business needs and did so effort and professionally.

As someone new to the commercial sector and navigating much of this journey on my own, I had numerous questions. If you are an agent or broker.. NOT THIS COMPANY

If you are an agent or broker, be away from this company. They pay the commission ONLY about 45% from what insured pays. (e.g. If the insured pays $100, then you'll get a commission whatever you're supposed to get out of $45, NOT $100). Please be aware of this fact, and be away from this company.

Most incompetent insurance company to…

Most incompetent insurance company to work with. They will continually find ways to charge you more money. They "audit" your policy after it's two years old and find out how they can charge you half again what you paid for the policy.

I had PIE for a few years. The initial premium was good. Then the audits started happening. I should have just stayed with The Hartford.

Dealing with Pie is difficult because no human interaction

Dealing with Pie is difficult because very little human interaction. No one to call to help with problems. I wanted a live agent. This is the main reason i went with another company. Also, the premium got way too expensive.

Reliable and easy for the small business owner

Pie Insurance made my immediate need for workers comp insurance a breeze. My agent Samantha was very thorough in her explanation of how things worked from start to finish and had everything completed in less than 24 hours. Waste of money

Only thieves, nothing else. It's never possible to receive service, they never respond to their emails. In a word, they are WASTED.They're just trying to steal, they've made up something called an audit

Never again...

Yes, at the beginning they saved me money, then things turned and a surcharge after the audit, which is a joke.. the the renewal comes thru with a modest increase, and then the second audit that was done by a third party and they were very unresponsive, and the audit results DOUBLED my policy. The renewal for the 3 rd year was another modest increase, but , I declined the renewal and they still took my premium out.. I fought to get it back, which i finally got back. Now , another audit and this audit is the same as my cancelled policy,, I am SO done with this company... I do NOT recommend this company to anyone , including my enemies,

I have had this company for 3 frustrating years

I have had this company for 3 years, and got too busy the last 2 years at the end of our policy to change. They are horrible! If you get a human on the phone, they can never help you, and will send you to a vm that will never get responded to. They have left me in the lurch more times than I can count. These positive reviews have got to be from new clients. Our other insurance companies get alot of their unhappy clients. Save yourself future frustration and find a company that actually helps their customers.

Customer service rep was excellent

Customer service rep was excellent. Answered all my questions and a timely matter. Also I was not put on hold for longer than 10 to 15 seconds. If I can give 10 stars I would. Super Knowledgeable. Provided options on keeping my insurance instead of canceling.
