We went for a day as a family. 3 activities and lunch. Fantastic value for money. My son has autism and wanted to visit prior to his school residential to alleviate any anxieties. The staff were aware of this and went above and beyond to make it a fab day for him and for us all. They were all so welcoming and positive. They encouraged and supported so well. I would highly recommend this experience to families.

Great team, great site and great services.

2 kids aged 10 amd 12 completed a 3 night break. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can't wait to go back again. Favorite activities included abseiling, raft building and aeroball. The ataff were super friendly and enthusiastic and we felt our kids were in safe hands.

We had a fantastic week residential at Marchants Hill, the children learnt lots about each other and themselves. They were given the opportunity to try some amazing activities with kind and professional instructors. Thank you for an amazing week.

Every need we had was met. The food and accommodation was excellent. The activities were perfect for our pupils with enough challenge for the more able. We were well looked after and everything ran smoothly.

My son really enjoyed his time at PGL and said "this time was even better than last time". He enjoyed a broad range of activities with the abseiling being the top activity and he made so many new friends and "spoke to nearly everyone". As we were leaving it was lovely to hear so many people say goodbye and call his name and there was a real sense of having come together to enjoy something as a group. He enjoyed the group he was in and had many stories to tell and he has a real sense of independence when he goes, at the same time as getting solid reassurances as a parent that they are tightly monitored and well looked after. Alex C. was the leader of his group and was lovely and genuinely eager to ensure they had a fantastic time and my son also mentioned great night support staff (Tom is 'pretty chill') too and overall he wants to come back in the summer!

From beginning to end, our experience with PGL was outstanding. The communication before the trip was excellent with all of our needs catered for. We were extremely confident that we would be well looked after. And we were! The catering team need a huge shout out as we had a specific dietary requirement. They had everything pre-prepared ahead of every sitting - we could not have asked for more! The staff leading the activities were so enthusiastic and energetic - the kids absolutely loved them, as did the staff. The accommodation at Ford Castle was superb - sleeping in an actual castle was a huge treat for the kids (once they'd lugged their cases up the stairs of course!) The adult rooms were so comfortable and clean and the staff lounge area was well stocked! We all had the best time and would highly recommend a visit. The setting was magical with the most beautiful views of Northumberland.

Great family adventure, never a dull moment. Perfect for our 9 year old. Our 6 year old also loved it but I think in another year she will be able to achieve even more (she was one of the youngest there). Be prepared to be busy!

Great value for money. Child had a blast. Entertained with exciting activities. Sharing a room with a group of friends. Child was happy with facilities, food, activities. I was happy with communication when child became unwell to ensure child was appropriately supported. Good security and checking of information both at drop off and collection. Thank you. Child is looking forward to book the next trio with friends.

Our experience with PGL Travel was very positive overall. The booking process was straightforward, and communication before the trip was clear and helpful.
During the residential, the staff were friendly, well-organised, and supportive, particularly when working with young people who needed extra reassurance. Activities were well planned, and instructions were clear, which helped everyone feel confident taking part. The instructors were enthusiastic and kept groups engaged throughout the day.
The accommodation and facilities were appropriate for a residential setting, and meals were well organised with good consideration for dietary needs. Any minor issues that came up were dealt with quickly by staff on site.
Overall, it was a well-run experience that met our expectations, and I would consider using PGL Travel again for future trips.

My 14yo loved his experience here, it was a great price and so easily organised. He did get a little bash to the head whilst there (boys) and the staff were fantastic, having him checked out with a doctor and keeping my super well informed. The whole experience really boosted his confidence in trying new things. We will be back for sure in the summer!

Family breaks are so great. Constantly stuff to do. So well organised and good value. You don't have to spend any extra money when you're there.
Staff are all well trained and you can trust them with your safety. Also seem accomodating for special needs and dietary requirements.
We love it and have been 5 times on the last few years. Great variety of activities.

My daughter (age 10) absolutely loves the experience at PGL. It's the mix of activities night and day, friendships, great atmosphere, and interactions with the PGL group leaders and instructors. I have complete confidence in the staff to look after them and keep them happy, or deal with drama as necessary. It seems to work for multiple weeks, too: my daughter will be taking a two-week and a three-week trip to PGL Boreatton Park this year (so far!).

My child had a great time at the Marchants Hill camp, the activities were fun and the leaders were caring and really took time to make my child feel comfortable.

Everything from the instructors, to the activities and the site was superb. Brilliant 4 day break would highly recommend it. Will be booking again for next year.

The activities staff at PGL Caythorpe Court were outstanding. They were so encouraging to children and adults alike. Nothing was too much trouble. The food choice was excellent and portion sizes very generous. The catering staff cooked special meals for my two children without any bother at all and made sure everything was ok by us and talking to the children, making them feel included and choices were theirs as well. The shop is so reasonably priced, no bucked-up prices which meant the little pocket money my two had allowed them to get a good selection of things and some sweets too.
The supporting staff, like the reps were brilliant as well. Ensuring everything was ok and answering any questions we had. A small room issue was extremely quickly rectified by an office member. The rooms are basic, but beds are comfy and water is hot.
My one thing that would improve the rooms is to have more hooks for towels (one for a family of 4 meant damp towels were on top of one another) and a small shelf in the bathroom for toothpaste as the want room on the sink (however, speaking to others they had shelves so it may have just been our room!).

Over all one of the best holidays we have ever been on, no decisions needing to be made, where to eat/what to do is all planned for you! Even the evening entertainment was planned and brilliant.

We will be returning!

PGL is a must if you value quality time with your kids/Grand kids and enjoy outdoor activities. The staff are excellent and so accomodating. The food is great and as a whole is great value for money
