Be kind to your animal...Don,t Go Here!
Do yourself and your pet a favor and don't bring them to the Whitby Petsmart on Victoria Street East. We had the worst experince bringing our dog in for a nail trimming last Friday afternoon. They do not take the time to get to know your animal and just attitude from the staff the entire time. We tried to explain the bread mix of our animal and they continued to tell us we were wrong. The process to trim the animals nails is ridiculas. Do you wonder what it's like have a noose on your neck while skating on a slippery surface? Then rather than taking time to see the tolarance of the animal with tools, they pull out a nail grinder and attempt to use it on your pet expecting the animal will stay still. Its no wonder they suggest you come back rather than stick around. Would you bring your car to a hardware store to get it fixed? Use the same logic with your animals and let Petsmart sell pet products, not work on your pet. Your pet will thank you.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Answers to my complaint were just stock answers as if my letters were not being read. I tried three different times to convey that their website is difficult to navigate when trying to edit orders. I have been pleased with instore selection, staff and hours but unfortunately customer service matters to me more. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on.
PetSmart Sudbury is a joke
We just bought 20 crickets from PetSmart in Sudbury, was surprised they actually had some in stock because the managers there are clowns. When we got home 6/20 were dead, consistently crappy store. Northern Exotics has better selection of sizes, always in stock, and gut load their crickets. No I don't own or work there.
Highly disappointed…
I recently took my small dog for a grooming. Honestly , I use Pet Smart half the times , shared with another groomer. I recently found out Pet Smart is charging an extra $12.00 for brushing out . This of course is on top of the premium paid for grooming . Young lady at the grooming salon was apologetic. Not her fault , I get it . She did give me a 5:00 promotion coupon . My bill before tip was $127.00, taxes in .It would have been $132.00. My dog is a bischone, .it was a regular cut , I honestly can say I will not be returning to Pet Smart ever again. Other groomers are half the price and do as good a job. I think you need to rethink your pricing . I’m sure you’ve already lost business.

Don’t buy any store gift cards to use online
I have purchased gift cards online at Petsmart .ca
However the phone app does not provide grooming service options .
I went online to purchase the gift cards and tried to redeem it for services the next day .

I called customer service and spoke to the supervisor and shee suggested Ipay for the full grooming service using my credit card?????
Why would I do that when I already purchased gift cards?????
Her response was they need to investigate why I am not able to make an online purchase with my gift card .
For the inconvenience she offered my $5 coupon when I spend $40???? What an insult !!!!
They put me thru to the grooming line then the grooming line says theyneed to put me thru to the store . When they put me thru the store manager / store leader “ Amy”. She refuses to listen to my complaint and when I asked for head office number or email she indicated they do not have one .
In conclusion. Do not purchase gift cards if you plan on making online purchases as the website does not have a field to put in your gift card information and pin .
This is a corporation with the worst website and it’s not user friendly!!!!
Fix it PetSmart - giving you a one star for the worse experience after spending 2 hours on the phone they asked me to come in to redeem my gift cards for services or products .
Updat: I went into PetSmart today to make a purchase and the gift cards did not work.
The manager indicated they will
Contact head office to advise them .
In the meantime . I spent another 2 hrs in the store to figure this out only to find out there is nothing they can do.

Petsmart is the best company I’ve ever worked for as far as a corporate job goes. I’ve been there three months now and I am very happy everyone really cares about the job. They’re doing there and each other.

We absolutely LOVE Petsmart
We absolutely LOVE Petsmart! I shop here often for my cats. The staff at Petsmart is always friendly, kind and wanting to help us. If they don't have an item in stock they will help find it or order it in. They will also take the time to write notes on your orders (say if you order through Doordash, they will say "say hi to your pets for us!) always super cute. Their prices are also unbeatable. Would highly recommend this store!
PetSmart ne fait plus affaire avec le Québec, mais refuse de nous redonner la valeur de nos points fidélités amassés avec eux.
Vendredi 17 mars 2023, tous les clients (maintenant anciensclients et clientes ) Petsmart vivant au Québec ont reçu un e-mail de Petsmart nous disant que immédiatement, que leur partenariat avec la province de Québec aient pris fin (bien que l'e-mail ne le mentionne pas, c'est En raison de la différence entre la province des lois du Québec par rapport au reste des lois du Canada). Cette différence a commencé il y a plus de 35 ans, Petsmart en apprend juste ... maintenant?
Mais le courriel ne mentionne pas du tout les points accumulés. C'est notre argent après tout.
PetSmart a-t-il ses employés nous disent / nous écrivent pour aller dans une autre province afin de racheter nos points? Vont-ils payer pour la gazoline et les salles d'hôtels pour le faire?
La loi Québecoise numéro 187.9 est très claire sur de tels cas.:

1- PetSmart - comme toute autre entreprise dans de tel cas - en arrêtant / supprimant le(s) partenariat(s) avec leur(s) clients et clientes, sur un territoire particulier est obligé de donner à ses clients une certaine période de temps pour utiliser les points accumulés ou pour les rembourser pleinement dans un délai donné avec des paiements en argent (chèques ou mandats effectués au nom de la société donnée (dans ce cas Petsmart).
2- Le fait qu'ils ne mentionnent pas du tout les points dans leur e-mail est illégal.
Voici le courriel qui a été envoyé à tous les (maintenant anciens clients du Québec hier, et une des multiples réponses via cou rriel qui nous ait également envoyé par des employé(e)s de la compagnie PetSmart nous disant d'aller dans une autre province pour utiliser nos points .
Pour résoudre cette question, comme moi, les clients du Québec qui souhaitent être remboursés - en dollars - pour les points accumulés doivent contacter l'Office de la Protection du Consommateur du Québec.
J'ai déjà reçu tous les documents de l'OPC a envoyer à PetSmart. Ils vont partir mardi matin. (Je ne peux pas avant, faute de temps pour aller les poster).

PetSmart is my first choice for pet grooming
I just got my dog back from PetSmart and the groomers did an AMAZING job. They even gave him a little Halloween bandana! Every time we come here, they do a great job. My dog knows that they keep treats behind the desk and basically jumped onto the table with the treats. I would come here again and again. Everyone at PetSmart is so friendly and we are definitely going back there soon. The place we used to go to was expensive, took FOREVER, and never even did the job right. Then, a friend recommended PetSmart and we have been there ever since.
