I’m shocked this company is still in business!! They lie about price! They are a scam. Many items lost or probably stolen! They won’t do anything about it! They simply know they are a scam company! Every media outlet will know this! I’m so tired of their lies and scam!!! It is my goal to put them out of business and hold them accountable for their actions. The stress they have caused me! Thank goodness for a good attorney!!!!

Let’s just say…this company is the reason that my left leg is starting to fail and my right hip has worsened in this disability. I was given a stand sit desk by my workplace and when they moved it, they took it apart and took no responsibility when it would not work. Mind you, I never told them to take it apart. They have offered me less than $200 and that’s not the only thing they broke. The value is over $1000 so if you are thinking, “let’s use a moving company,” DON’T. Get a UPack, get a POD, but they pretty much gave small business movers a bad name.

Petra Pro Movers destroyed our 75”TV. They LOST boxes containing loved ones ashes, financial documents, passports and car titles. They moved our items from truck to truck once they left the point of origin; mixing our items with other peoples items. They will NOT compensate you for any losses, damage or anything else caused by their ignorance. We’ve been fighting with them for 4 months with them doing nothing!!! This company (along with amerisafe, who employs their services) is an absolute scam that will turn your move into a nightmare. AVOID them at all costs. Hire a reputable company. By the way, the positive reviews of them were left by their own acquaintances, family members and employees. In my own opinion, anyone who does this stuff to people without making it right is nothing but human garbage.

do not use this company. At first they say different price, after you pay deposit, they find some different reasons to charge more. Very bad service. many personal things were destroyed. They NEVER pay any compensation.

They lost part of our belongings - charged us for 70 boxes, we only received 40 back. Another part of our belongings arrived broken because the boxes were severely damaged. They made my husband sign a settlement and remove his bad review and promised to pay for our claim on top of settlement. When i called claims department i was told that we were already paid and the claim was closed. I do not recommend using this company.

Lots of hidden fees. Very coercive. I asked to have someone look at my things to make sure they estimate they gave me was correct (as I had heard they surprise you on the day of moving), and even with that I was charged more. They added a $200 per floor elevator fee (meaning $800 extra if you are on the 4th floor). I had asked about any other fees beforehand and they assured me there weren't. Then they left some of the things that were agreed in the estimate. The men who came to pack my things and move them are very professional and respectful and my things arrived safely. It's the hidden fees and how they pretend not to know anything about it beforehand that is the problem. Original estimate was $1800, I ended up being charged after $3400, and that's after fighting and refusing to pay certain surprise fees.

My experience with Petra Pro was abysmal, and that is being nice. I ordered full packing service. The packers arrived at my home in Maryland and did a HORRIBLE job packing my items. Most importantly, they did not label any boxes, so it was impossible to take any kind of inventory. It was also impossible to determine what boxes went where.

Upon arrival, the team made no effort to put my belongs in the rooms where they belonged. Instead, they just threw items in my garage, and anywhere else they could.

The team in Maryland left a mess in my home there including pizza boxes, empty bottles and other garbage.

Bottom line, this is not a professional organization and should not be trusted with your business.

I was misquoted. Ended up paying thousands more than originally expected. Half of my furniture was delivered and the other half did not arrive until a week later. If my daughter had not sent pics, I would have never known. No one from Petra called to tell me. When I was finally able to get to my storage unit, I found some of my furniture had been damaged. I still don’t know if everything is there. HORRIBLE!

The only reason I’m giving a star is because we actually got our stuff within a week and the college students they called up the morning of were really nice guys.

Reasons why it was bad
- when the Petra movers arrived at our place to load, the estimated price they gave us was double what the initial estimate was. Whatever estimation tools were used to determine how much space would be taken up were way off.

- the lady who was coordinating the move called us to ask if the driver had given us a time. What? shouldnt she know this information?

- on delivery, the foreman was very rough with our belongings. There was also a bag of clothes that didnt belong to us (how did that happen) and he threw it on the ground multiple times. Very unprofessional. He was also wearing flip flops and was on the phone the whole time.

- three pieces of furniture were broken. For one, the foreman jammed a piece back in, said he would come back with wood glue to fix it, never came back.

Fortunately, they did reassemble our stuff (though I had to ask them repeatedly), and the other movers were very nice and professional.

Would not use again or recommend.

Let me begin by saying that this company is not worth the money. Pick was relatively easy, crew was professional. Let’s talk about prices, was quoted one price, went through list of items with logistics person and boom, quoted price doubled. Took items off list to get me under 10K, speak with logistics person, who finalices my price, I purchased 2 banks checks one to be handed at picked up the rest at delivery, not so fast, at pick up I’m told I need to come up with another 5k because the original price was an “estimate” removed some items and needed an extra 3K. Delivery is scheduled for Tuesday/Wednesday and after many phone calls it arrived on Friday at 7pm. I was informed that the original bank check purchased is no longer a valid form of payment, so here I’m in Florida with a bank check in Petra Pro llc’s name they won’t take, did I mentioned I asked numerous times if a bank check was ok as a form of payment. I told that the delivery crew only accepts cash or money orders from the post office, finally got them to agree with the stipulation that one member of the delivery crew would have deposit the check and when the check goes through they can begin to unload my furniture. My furniture been kept for ransom until check goes through. Delivery crew were polite and courteous and work diligently until midnight. These poor men were instructed to deliver furniture at night in a gated community. Also in the contract I was the crew would place boxed items in room in house but that was not the case. All boxes were place in the garage, they did however assemble the beds. Some pieces I’d furniture were damaged during the transport. Will filling a report for damages.

I hired Petra to move my belongings from San Diego to Michigan. The level of professionalism and attention to detail is superb. I would definitely use them again!!! They took great care in ensuring my belongings were packed with care. Ahmed and Oscar are true professionals and extremely competent.

The two Ali’s delivered my items and unloaded everything with care and thoughtfulness. When they were done moving everything, they actually pointed out that my headboard was broken and it stated so on the inventory list. It was the last piece to get the padding & shrink wrap removed. Obviously, it happened after it was wrapped to move, or else the broken off piece would not have been included under the shrink wrap and padding.

Unfortunately, I didn’t even see the “BR” under the condition of the headboard when I signed the paperwork. For allI knew it could’ve meant “bedroom”. It actually meant broken. At any rate, I had pictures of it before it was padded & wrapped. That’s my only downside to this move. They should have advised me as they were moving it from my condo into the truck that it was broken. I would not have been upset. I’m just slightly irritated now.

All in all, they did their job and things sometimes get broken. If I had to move again, I would definitely hire them.

I’m glad we have found this company, we have moved the family house down to New Jersey from Kentucky, they were on point and on time every step of the process, the reps on the line as well as the drivers are very neat and easy to deal with, I like the fact that I had to do nothing but watching them wrapping and loading the truck. I would recommend you to my friends and family.

Similar to the previous comment - you need to seriously watch their estimates, they under estimate to seal the deal and then half-way through the truck being loaded they claim the "estimation" was bad. That is their problem - it shouldn't be ours. They had already taken the deposit of 1,200+ on a total quote of 3,800.00 and then increased the total due (after loading the truck - and your things are basically held hostage) to 5,200+ and when they finally finished the truck AND they still had left half of our things. They offered to send another truck for an additional 3,000+ to finish the job, so all in all we would have been in for somewhere between 9,500 to 10 grand off an initial estimate of 3,800 dollars. DO NOT be swept into this and you can see by other comments they are doing this to others. I strongly suggest, if you so insist on using them, to get them to come to your home and do the walk through (for which they will charge you 250 as I'm told) and you can lock in your estimate (but I'm not even sure they would abide by that). Now we are stuck with moving the rest of the items ourselves. When contacted, the representative was extremely rude and wouldn't let me even speak to the person who did the estimation (specific comment was "oh he's just the sales guy" - he can't do anything for you). Ali (same as previous comment and team were nice and did a good job), but the company as a whole is something you seriously need to watch-out for. We're taking other action but would strongly suggest you look at other companies before deciding to go down this path.

I am writing this to ensure everyine dealing with Petra Pro movers are made aware of how they could catch you to spend a more than planned!!!! I was provided with a competitive quote for 944 cubic square feet for all my items specified (3 bed household with tv room and lounge and outside patio furniture) and when truck was loaded half way the quoted cubic sqf was used up. But had to get the rest done. So I ended paying an additional $4K for and additional 1000 cubic sqf. This includes some govt levy of $1,000 that nobody told me about. They effectively hook you with a low estimate when they should know better the cubic sqf certain home sizes should be. Then on the moving day you need to pay extra when your stuff is moved. The moving staff (Ali and his team) were very helpful and professional and took care of my furniture.

A great company and the people they work for are very kind,I’m appreciate the work they did for me.
