Superb service & they care.

I have been buying cars and having them serviced here for many years.
They are excellent & give very good service. I called the other day and they couldn’t have been more helpful.
Well worth doing business with.
Very rare these days.

5 Star Sales Service

Recently bought a used car from Peter Ambrose. The staff couldn't have been better. The salesman went over and above to help us. I was in a bad place at the time, my previous car having to be scrapped due to engine failure, and he was so sympathetic and professional, I could not have been more pleased and grateful for his help. Everyone there was the same & we were looked after so well. I have even received courtesy calls since, enquiring if I am happy with the car I purchased. 5 star service, I could not be happier.

Bad service

I was asked to come in to start the process of returning my car I have on finance and I had stated I wanted to purchase my next car without finance. I had emailed what I wanted and was offered discounts etc and told this could all be sorted for a delivery of a
New car in March. The man I then saw argued back and forth about why I wanted to buy rather than use finance and then refused to value my car or offer any part of deal for a car for delivery in March despite the fact I showed him emails I’d had with his colleague and the fact that to get a car for March the Peugeot website was showing I needed to order it now. He was patronising and rude and would definitely not recommend going here if you want a professional service and helpful advice.

Motorhome dash repairs

Our motorehome was broken into middle of march . Peter Ambrose was recomended by tbe dealers we purchased it from . The guy dealing with us came out and had a good look at the damage which we were gratefull for . We are now in june nearly 3 months later and still no parts have arrived after some cockup apparently . Not happy at all at the moment. Hopefully they can redeem themselves so I can give a more positive review .

total shambles tried ordering a peugeot 3008 1.5 diesel automatic, this went on for a month, told them colour I wanted they said there was 2 black ones in Stock. then there wasn't asked about a white one they could get me one then they couldn't and mathew the young lad finally admitted he couldn't get me one.no apologies or if there was anything else they could do nothing. if you want a peugeot go somewhere else.

Fantastic service from start to finish…

Fantastic service from start to finish with good clear communication throughout and very reasonable prices from a main dealer
They booked my van in did a factory recall and diagnostic and replaced the part within the day ,even updated my ecu

My dealings with Peter Ambrose.

My dealings with Peter Ambrose and the team was excellent from the test drive to buying the car i did pick up a few bits i needed sorting before i got the car and they promised they will be done they replaced them with new parts and you cannot get better than that. They gave me 7 days insurance to drive the car away 12 months warranty and free MOT for the life of me car. I have had 2 phone calls asking about the car is it alright and am i happy with it and if i get any problems just take it back and they will fix it. You cannot get better than that. 40 years dealing with dealers and Peter Ambrose came out top.

Peter Ambrose’s service has been phenomenal!

Peter Ambrose’s service has been phenomenal. Not only was the process of buying my car super easy, but when having my car they constantly checked that everything was okay with the car, even sorting me out very fast with courtesy cars when my car was in for service. Everyone at the business is super professional and very easy to talk to. They really went above and beyond in every aspect of buying and having the car.

Horrid man on service desk

Absolutely disgusting customer service from the guy on the service desk.

Last Friday I had my Peugeout 308 car key battery fitted at Halfords (another bad choice) this resulted in a “engine fault anti theft” message on my dashboard and the car not starting! I had a lively two year old toddler and my car was immobilised on the Halfords car park… Halfords claimed there was nothing they could do. I made my way to Peugeout for any help/advice as I was at my wits end I had no idea how I could get my car started.

I entered the dealership and spoke to the sales guy told him my predicament (he was lovely) and advised me I’d need to speak with the service desk. I waited for an acknowledgment from him but he just ignored me so I approached him, he barked at me to stay within the barriers (which were confusing and weren’t clear where you had to stand) he then shouted at the sales guy saying dont you know I’ve two guys off and can’t see anyone until Tuesday. At this point I said I’m just after some advice … he barked I can’t do anything for you we’d need to look at your car (he never asked what my issue was) my toddler was bored and running round at this point so he was like “stop that kid touching the barriers”…. I explained I was a bit stuck and just needed help and his response was well bring your car down… I explained this was impossible as my car was immobilised, his response get a tow truck!!!! He spoke to me like absolute rubbish and I felt so stupid and belittled I left the shop in tears. The sales guy was amazing and followed some out to check I was ok, and asked what the issue was and to see the key.

I ended up phoning Wakefield who in two minutes advised changing a key battery shouldn’t cause an issue and that Halfords were most probably liable as they could’ve damaged the transponder!!!! Why couldn’t the castleford branch advise this??? The guy on the service desk just couldn’t be bothered what a horrible man! I hope non of his family or friends are ever in a situation like that where they need help and get treat in that way!! He’s clearly in the wrong job!

Halfords have admitted liability and I have a claim number, my car was booked in at Peugeout in Castleford but no way would I step foot in that place again!

Toyota Prius

I recently purchased a pre loved Toyota Prius from this business. No complaints about the car as I expected. Customer service was second to none from my first phone call till I drove my 'new' car home. I've even had 2 follow up calls to make sure I am still happy.

Called about a car last night - spoke with “Dave” this morning - gave my deposit ( paying cash for car ) spoke with him twice in 6 hours …. Then the manager calls to say “Dave” didn’t know that another customer had put a deposit on the car! ….. Typical of Sales that they think a call lying is preferable than to be upfront and honest ….
