I just don’t know where to start but start I must. I have been a part of the Petco family since 2010. Treats, Rx food, Rxs, leash, collars, toys, you name it, I got it. Rewards -all about that. When you have a Rx food, I know it has to be shipped so it’s not an instant delivery. However a PRESCRIPTION dog FOOD should be just that and exact to the prescription, right? We all know that. So I did just that and my order was lost, redone, voided because it was redone wrong, lost again. Petco Customer Service disappeared completely and the PETCO Corporate Customer Service went AWOL! I called every day for a week and LM to call me. That it was urgent and having to do with Rx food! Please call. I need help! Guess what? No one called.
I called everyday and got on first name basis with the operator. Guess what? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And finally I realized that since my 10th bag was free that maybe Petco just didn’t care and didn’t want to give me my free bag of food ?! Omgosh!
I tried regular customer service again and finally got my order placed but it was wrong! And they lied about the extra food. And still nothing from corporate. I can’t do this anymore. Every order is a problem. Used to be easy to place an order.
The last time I took my baby there for grooming, the next day I had to give her a whole body trim and brush out!
Somewhere along the way Petco lost their way. I have divorced Petco. How sad.
My frenchie died for their poor professionalism
I went to Petco at Centennial Center in Las Vegas on Saturday 11/01/25 for the first time grooming to my 2.5 years old French bulldog, I usually took him to another place (which I should never have changed) and chose to take him to Petco because I thought that if something happened, they would know what to do immediately. However, they were very busy with many dogs, and when I checked him in, they never asked me anything about his breathing. They only asked for his vaccination record. I told them to please keep an eye on him and let me know immediately if his tongue started turning purple. They never checked him. Forty minutes later, they called me to come pick him up because they hadn't been able to bathe him since his tongue was purple and he had diarrhea. When they have diarrhea, it means they've been in a respiratory crisis for a long time and had already had a heart attack. They only realized this when it was time for his bath. They never checked him, they didn't even give him emergency care, in a place where everyone is supposed to be professional. Minutes after I went to pick him up, my beloved Frenchie died at the hospital.

Los productos son buenos, pero compro en línea para recoger en tienda (Las Águilas Express) y siempre me hacen dar varias vueltas, los empleados son groseros y no ofrecen soluciones. A mí no me llegan los correos con el código para recoger el pedido, así que por más que doy todos mis datos, foto y número de pedido, pago, identificación, etc no me lo quieren entregar sin dicho código (que no me llega). Si ya se pagó, deberían entregarlo con el nombre y número de pedido, en lugar de poner tantas trabas y hacer que uno pierda el tiempo en dar vueltas, llamadas, discusiones, y demás.

I went to website to order a diffuser for my cat. On the Website said available for in-store pickup. Placed the order it would not go through, tried 6/7 times. No indication of issue. Placed order on my laptop clicked several times, nothing. Then I got a red circle with a line through it. On line chat with Customer service, they were kind, friendly lost the connection before I could get an answer. Placed a phone call, the very kind person the item was not available for in store pickup, it would have to be USPS. The website SUCKS. I spent about 30 minutes trying to order diffuser for my cat. I despise this website, offer all the nice discounts etc, then you cannot place (4 letter word) order. Petco, I will only use your site as a last resort for a dire need, The physical location in Daphne is wonderful, always kind and helpful. The website needs to match what customer service sees. How many times and ways can I say SKIP on line ordering from Petco!!!!

Used to be a reputable store but…
Used to be a reputable store but definitely gone downhill recently. I’ve had multiple issues with deliveries being incorrect and then not getting a refund. If I just had the issue and you took the money now why can’t I get it back now. They make you wait “up to 7 days” and then nothing ever shows. Customer service reps are no help whatsoever. They claim they can help but just waste your time. I thought I’d remedy that by going in store only to find that the food I bought in-store has a BB date of March 2025….its September 2025 btw. I called the store and explained the situation and the guy says I can return it. I told him I don’t have a receipt cause it’s a food my dogs always eat and I usually have no reason to return it. We’ll see how it goes…I don’t have much faith though. Definitely my last purchase from Petco. They’re now on the list with that other pet store that charges you for vet services they don’t actually perform. I’ll stick with Chewy moving forward.
Less Than Zero Stars
Had a horrible experience - DO NOT use Petco for any vet services. Had a 12pm appointment, we didn't get seen until 12:50pm. We waited almost an hour, and during that time we were pitched for grooming services. It was overcrowded, and the "clinic" is a table out on the sales floor. The vet assistant was covered in hives on her neck and face. She was unable to hold my 6lb dog tight enough for her to receive her shots, so another vet assistant had to step in. Even the vet made a comment about the assistants hives. She should of been immediately removed from the floor. Bad service, highly questionable safety standards. This is the second poor experience I've had with Vetco. I posted a review and received a comment that encouraged me to reach out to a customer service email. I did, got no reply AND my comment was deleted from the reviews. Very very shady. They overcharge and find ways to keep charging you, avoid this place like the plague.
Petco doesn't allow any cancellations: order elsewhere
I made a mistaken order. Within an hour, I tried to cancel. There was no button or link online to do so. I chatted online with one of their human agents. They told me I could not cancel, even though their website showed nothing had even been packed.
I'd never been unable to cancel in such a situation before at any other online store.
I said this was so outrageously bad that I would permanently abandon Petco online.
The Petco agent said they would do the same, if they were me.
Worst I've ever experienced
I placed an order on August 28, that was supposed to arrive in 2 days, and it's been 4 days and I have no product, and now they're saying it will be an additional 3 more days...WORST SERVICE WITH NO REAL CONTACT METHODS! I DONT LIKE VIRTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! GET A REAL F'N PERSON!!!
They shaved my golden doodle puppy
Took my golden doodle puppy in for grooming and was very clear that he was not to be shaved and that his floofiness was to be preserved. Came back to find his hair had been shaved to 1/2 inch or less over his entire body. I am crushed and in tears. I will not be back.

The app is a joke! I have to call customer service (superviser line) every few months because it’s not working.
I always get told they will update me but I never hear anything back!
Even once it starts working I never get an update.

Groom review
We had our dogs groomed today. They did a great job. The only complaint is price when booked was $80 then when we picked up they had tacked on another $25 in additional fees (both dogs got shaved but they also charged a dematt fee though they had very few small Matt’s). I will use them again but be aware of hidden fees.
Delayed shipment and unable to hold package
Please do not order items from Petco online. My experience is that the website will give a delivery date when you order, but after that you will receive an email saying that your order has been delayed. This became an issue when the delivery date was when I would be out of town for a week. Since I had no one to get it off my porch I contacted FedEx to have the package held. But it turns out that Petco ships by FedEx Ground Economy and with FGE there is no option to redirect or have a package held. I called Petco customer service and there was nothing they could do to help. Nothing screams "Break into my home!" like 2 large boxes of cat litter sitting on the porch for a week. I have had too many experiences with delayed orders, but this was the final straw.
