Such a great company to deal with. Easy to set up or vary my regular order. Fantastic variety and quality of box contents every time. Cheery delivery drivers - often the only friendly face ai see all day.

I have been ordering boxes since the first lockdown and am really pleased with the service and the content. I have tried several different boxes and they have all been of a very high quality. This week I ordered the fruit only box for the first time and the variety, quality and quantity of the fruit was beyond what I expected. The vegetables are seasonal and the winter root vegetables have led me to create new versions of lasagne and other dishes all of which are extra tasty as a result. I like the flexibility of the orders which suits me well as I live alone and do not need weekly deliveries.

We had these boxes in the first lockdown and they were excellent. The contents were great and varied and it arrived with milk and really good quality bread. Delivery was reliable and at a safe distance. Will probably start up the boxes again soon!

We joined up in the first lockdown back in March 2020 and haven’t looked back. We ordered a weekly veg box and dairy till very recently, the drivers were always polite and in PPE! When there were delays someone always got back within the hour of my queries. When we wanted to shift to a fortnightly delivery it was smooth and we got given a loyalty discount. Karen and the team always get back within 24 hours, friendly and professional. The produce is always fresh, delicious and varied. We ordered a Christmas Veg box this year it was AMAZING and the attention to detail was incredible, down to the pinch of salt! We also loved the Christmas Wine box with delicious wines from our beloved Catalonia. We look forward to our fortnightly veg box and the kids have enjoyed the surprise element of not knowing what was coming and learning which fruit and veg grows in which season. It’s an educational feast in a box! Thank you Pale Green Dot!

I ordered the weekly staples box back in March and it’s been an absolute dream! We have fresh veg and fruit every week which is always top quality (and the bread is perfect for toast and sandwiches!). The eggs and milk are also delicious. Delivery is always a breeze and customer service is always responsive and helpful! Thank you so much - we will keep our boxes long after the pandemic ends (which will hopefully be soon)

Pale Green Dot has been a saviour since the first lockdown for my family. So thankful for these boxes but the reason it's not a 5 star is we had quite a few weeks in the summer of cabbages and now in the winter of celeriac and although I am quite the creative cook and hate waste I struggle to find a use for them every week. I know other competing companies have the option to "opt in" and "opt out" of certain items so perhaps this could be something to consider in the future? Now that they are branching out to more than just fruit and veg I must say I'm tempted to order more! Keep up the good work!

Shortly after placing this review I was contacted by PGD.

Not only does this show that they read their reviews & actually care about their customers experience, but the person I spoke with went above and beyond to put things right.

Its sad that my original experience was down to one single employee not following customer guidelines because this really is a company cares.

A couple of hours after the call I received my order & a box of gluten free vegan beer (not an easy find) as an apology.

The person who called (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) had arranged a special delivery.

Ironically, this was probably the best customer experience I've had with any company.

Ordered for 23rd as we celebrate Christmas on the 24th. Placed order 2 weeks before. Woke up to email on 23rd saying it wouldn't be arriving.

We're vegan and left us with no food during supermarket shortages. Now in the middle of a pandemic we have to go round several supermarkets to see what we can get on the off chance.

Easy to order, 1 day delivery and super fresh products. Loved my first box will definitely buy it again!

I’ve been getting their veg and staples box for the last few months. I’ve never had rotten or wilted veg. The milk, eggs and bread always has a long expiry date. I accept that it works out more expensive than a supermarket shop, but the veg and bread is of a much higher quality than what I used from buy the supermarket. The veg clearly comes from farms where they breed the crops based on flavour, rather than size. Would highly recommend.

Just wanted to write a review when i saw the last one which is so negative, and discouraging for a company that tries to make a difference. My gf uses PGD and we have never been disappointed so far after months of being clients. The box is big, looks super fresh. Never experienced any rotten veggies whatsoever.

We certainly believe that the products delivered are excellent value for money (again in complete disagreement with the last comment).

We cannot comment on customer service as we never had to use it.

Re: delivery; never had a problem. And if there was, all companies are affected by COVID so it has a bearing i guess. And we need to be understanding under current circumstances.

Keep the hard work going PGD. Not switching to another service any time soon.

Edit: since writing this review I have received a full refund for the most recent spoiled orders and a personal phonecall to apologise. I have changed the score of this review in light of this response.

On multiple occasions I have been delivered out of date goods and rotting vegetables many times by this service. So that means milk that smells foul, slimey radishes, brown spotted cauliflower, yellow broccoli. Customer service is quite unresponsive.

For the amount you pay, this company rewards you with exceedingly poor value given the continuous overall quality of product.

Pale Green Dot are fantastic! Beautiful fresh seasonal produce delivered straight to my door. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I stumbled across Pale Green Dot on Instagram i've ordered a number of veg boxes from them. They've all arrived within 24 hours and the produce is lovely and fresh. Everything tastes great. The leafy greens and carrots need to be used quite quickly though as after a few days they start to perish, which I dont mind

I get a weekly premium fruit & veg box, which is amazing because of multiple reasons. First, there has been almost zero packagings. The exception was radish, which came in a paper bag. Second, the fruit & veg are really good quality: full of flavour and they keep long so there's no rush in making everything in one week. And lastly, the delivery has been correct and friendly every time.

The quality of the vegetables is very often not worth £25 for the premium box and in fact you could buy a bigger sized box from M&S that is in impeccable state. Last two weeks I had rotten, mushy pears, two rotten parsnips, bananas that were severely damaged already and a lot of root veg that costs 30 pence in the supermarket. I appreciated the convenience during lockdown but have cancelled the subscription as quality of fruit and veg is inferior.

Lovely produce with good variety. Great to be able to choose which day it’s delivered.

The box is very good value for money I’ve been ordering since April lots of variety and always delivered in the morning very happy

I have been using Pale Green since the April lockdown. The box is a generous size and there has always been a colourful supply of fruit and vegetables. This week’s delivery included Savoy cabbage, lettuce, carrots, onions, tomatoes, beetroot and fruit. Their service is reliable.

We have ordered the Veg and Staples box a number of times since April and have always been very happy. There is normally a good mix of veg, a small portion of fruit and then a fresh loaf of bread, milk and eggs.

Our most recent included: a huge savoy cabbage, lots of green leafy veg, big tomatoes, a few small onions, a bunch of carrots, 3 apples, 3 oranges, a big celeriac and 2 small beets. Then the normal tasty eggs, bread and oat milk (now that they do a dairy free milk staples box which is great!)

The delivery has always been efficient for us and the drivers all great and wearing masks and gloves etc.

Only thing that could be improved is a delivery time slot as currently it can arrive anytime from 8am-10pm which means if you don't have a safe spot for them to leave your box you may have to be around all day. Saying that ours mostly tend to all arrive before noon.
