Placed an order almost 2 weeks ago and it hasn’t even been processed. An inquiry on order status was met with an auto-reply email 3 days later that they’d respond in 2-3 more days. Comical.

False loud alarms!

I have to say that although I’ve managed to connect the camera and the sock, the amount of false alarms that are triggered just because she’s moving is ridiculous! They’re so loud aswell and wakes my husband up and I have to run back to the base while I’m doing nappy change every minute to switch it off! Why invent such a system! Also the base disconnects so easily and I have to wait until it’s finished its tantrum to start the session again in the middle of the night! As for the camera, it works most of the time but every single time when I’m monitoring my child during the day, the camera goes off connection for at least a few minutes and I can’t see what’s going on anymore which scares me! Please fix your connection issues at this price!

Does not work

Does not work, spent a whole 2 days trying to connect in different ways with different routers and settings, I am a professional network administrator, electrician/ automation engineer and programmer and never had a product not be able to work one way or another, absolute garbage Dont buy is a waste of your time the most valuable thing on earth

For an expensive device that is supposed to give new parents peace of mind, this really stressed me out on my first days postpartum. DO NOT BUY

Technical support seems never ending

I have used the owlet camera for over two years and have sometimes had issues with the app freezing or requiring a hard reset but other than that it was fine- until it was not. I can no longer connect my camera to my phone it simply won’t connect to the QR code and it clearly has become faulty. After TWO WEEKS of troubleshooting, downloading apps and testing WiFi connections, sending my download versions and app versions and so much more I feel like I’m getting absolutely nowhere with the technical support. For the amount of money I have paid for this product I am simply finding it tedious now and never ending. It’s as if they just don’t want to believe their product isn’t working. I’m fed up of waiting for a resolution now and have had to fork out £50 for an alternative monitor while all this carry on is happening.

I would never recommend the **Owlet Cam…

I would never recommend the **Owlet Cam 2** or the **Owlet Smart Sock**. It’s a very expensive baby monitoring system and both devices failed when we tried to use them for our second child.

The camera would not scan the QR code during setup, making it impossible to use. The sock also would not work and we were told it’s due to outdated software and that it is no longer supported.

Customer support simply said everything is out of warranty and there is nothing they can do, even though the devices had very little use and had just been sitting safely since our first child.

Now we are left with an expensive system that doesn’t work and no monitor for baby number two. Very disappointing experience for such costly products. I would not purchase from **Owlet** again.

It saved her life!

We bought the owlett sock for my baby. Easy set up and has been fantastic. It has recently saved my toddlers life. Her oxygen saturation kept drastically dropping when she went to sleep. A and E dr's all concluded the same. Positional asphyxiation. Considering she is now 18 months, sleeps in a temperate room, firm mattress, smoke free house, approved sleeping bags. We research everything. Nothing otherwise wrong with her. She honestly would have failed to live after her oxygen plummeted within half hour of sleep. I cannot praise this sock enough. It is the only reason I can sleep at night and my LO is still here.

Issues with notifications and fobbed off by customer service

Bouth the Owlet sock and Cam 2 as we have a baby on the way. For years I have been adamant that we needed an Owlet. However when setting it up prior to baby's arrival, we've had issues with notifications for one of our phones. The settings are the same and we've checked and tried everything under the sun to try and get the other phone working as it should, but notifications automatically switch off after a few seconds for no known reason.

I contacted the customer care team and had probably 2 weeks of back and forth with them. They asked us to try a couple of things again which we did, which made no difference. Then they sent a message just saying they update their app every 2 to 3 weeks so to wait for the update and see if that fixes it. When questioned, I was told there was no fix planned in any app updates relating to our problem. So basically just fobbing us off.

We've lost all confidence in the product and their service now, and ultimately it is no good if only 1 parent can use it properly! We're going to sell it and buy something different instead as this just isn't fit for purpose unfortunately.

Three months of unresolved issues and poor customer support

During my postpartum depression, I spent three months going back and forth with customer service regarding a faulty device. I was repeatedly asked to perform the same troubleshooting steps and provide identical photos and videos over and over again. I continued cooperating because I was explicitly promised that the entire base unit would be replaced as a final step if I followed their troubleshooting process.

Despite this, they kept avoiding the topic of replacing the base station, and my support tickets were repeatedly closed without resolution, forcing me to reopen new cases and chase responses myself. Instead of honoring their promise, they sent me three replacement sensors, none of which solved the issue.

Towards the end of the process, a supervisor attempted to close my case entirely by blaming the malfunction on my baby’s sleeping movements, even though my baby was lying completely still when the errors occurred.

After three months, I ultimately received a replacement base unit only because I refused to give up after my case had been closed. The replacement immediately resolved the problem, meaning months of frustration could have been avoided had they acted responsibly and treated their customers with basic respect.

After three months of exhausting communication during an already vulnerable postpartum period, I was left feeling treated with a complete lack of empathy and accountability.

I cannot recommend this product or company. There are many similar alternatives on the market, and I strongly advise choosing another brand.

Worth it

Was a bit tricky to set up initially but got their in the end - prob needs to be bit more clear in its instructions.

Love the product though and gives great peace of mind.

Had a faulty sensor originally and was a bit of back and forth getting it sorted but it's good now and customer service were very helpful once I got them on the phone.

Needs a bit of improvement in the customer support area but overall a great product and would recommend.

20 Days & Waiting for replacement: Owlet Ignores Warranty While Holding My Money

I have an open warranty claim (Ticket #2296600) from January 25th for a defective Cam 1. Despite Owlet agreeing to a replacement, I have been ghosted for nearly three weeks.

When I finally got someone on the phone, I spoke to an agent named Scott who was incredibly dismissive and arrogant. When I pointed out that my emails were being ignored, his response was to mock the fact that I had 'only sent one email'—as if that justifies a 20-day delay for a safety-critical baby monitor.

Scott’s 'sociopathic' lack of empathy for a parent without a monitor is a reflection of Owlet's 1.6-star reputation. I shouldn't have to chase a company to honour a legal warranty. Since Owlet and Scott refuse to provide a tracking number, I am now filing a formal 'Unfair Trade Practice' complaint with Service Alberta and a dispute with TD Visa to get my money back. Parents: do not trust this company with your baby’s safety or your money.

Terrible!

Terrible!! Was fine for the first 3 months then Suddenly stopped reading. The alarm goes off multiple times a night saying ‘difficulty getting a reading’. Getting no sleep because of it.
Emailed the UK email and been ignored for weeks. The US one don’t reply.
Do not waste all that money, they are terrible

Kind of wish I never bought it

Kind of wish I never bought it. Isn't compatible with Google home, disconnects all the time, lags when trying to view clips, blue light on the camera is quite bright and makes my baby want to play with the shadows it casts. Overall disappointed. The best thing about it is the clipping system it comes with the hide the wires. We didn't get the sock so can't say anything about that.

Das ist der reinste Schrott! Das Ding piept ständig, selbst wenn alles in Ordnung ist, weil diese blöde Socke ständig die Verbindung zur Basisstation verliert und wie verrückt piept! Sobald das Kind einschläft, fängt das Mistding an zu piepen. So ein Mist! Manchmal schalte ich das Ding die halbe Nacht aus! Und die Basisstation hat keinen Ladeanschluss und funktioniert nur mit Netzstrom, also kann man sie nicht unterwegs benutzen.jefen

Owlet waste of money

First 3 months to 4 months fine....then camera keeps switching off...audio is making weird noises...socks constantly disconnects....Owlet UK complete waste of time and refer you to US email address then your lucky to get 1 email a day from them. We have jumped through hoops of troubleshooting prompts on top of picture requests of wifi connection...what phone we have....whether camera or audio is connected or disconnected...oh yes and what version of the app we are using as well as a plethora of others....so far we are on day 11 of troubleshooting with our daily email via US because UK don't want to know....lord grant me patience because for the price of this set up is seems nothing short of cheap and nasty and that includes the customer service.

Hardware Fails and "Supervisors" Walk Away

I am beyond frustrated with Owlet. After nearly 3 years of relying on this monitor, it completely stopped connecting (Error OC 21) out of nowhere. No power outages, no network changes—it just quit.

As a stay-at-home mother with two children under the age of two, this monitor is a necessity, not a luxury. I spent a week struggling without it, only to be met with a brick wall by their support team. I spoke with a 'Supervisor' named Brooke, who was utterly unhelpful. Instead of offering a real solution for hardware that clearly failed, she repeatedly told me to change my Wi-Fi settings (which haven't changed in years) and then abruptly ended the chat, stating she could not help me further.

It is a shame that a company marketing itself on the 'well-being of children' shows such a complete lack of empathy or support for the parents actually using their products. I have never experienced a support team so unwilling to help a loyal customer. Save your money and buy from a company that actually stands by their hardware

Incredibly difficult to setup

Incredibly difficult to setup. My wife and I both work high end IT jobs and could not figure this out. The support is terrible. What a joke of a product. Riding the coattails of FDA approval. You know what else got FDA approval? OxyContin, the drug that caused the Opioid crisis. I'd rather be hooked on fentanyl than go through this setup process again.
