I ordered some MSR Mini Groundhog tent stakes from Outdoor Gear during the Xmas period and one arrived bent. I emailed them and a replacement product was dispatched immediately.

Great and effective customer service - I will be using them again.

This was my first order with Outdoor Gear UK and I couldn't be happier. Not only was the price cheaper than Amazon, but true to OG's word, they delivered in 24 hours which was faster than what Amazon would have done. Really pleased to support a local business and will certainly be a repeat customer in the future.

I bought a pair of walking poles mail order while on holiday in Scotland - Leki Black Series SLS XTG. (Excellent poles I can now report - my Goldilocks feature set.)

The price was competitive & the ordering process was smooth. I was keen to buy quickly as they seemed the only pair in the UK at that moment. Hence I had them delivered to our holiday cottage in Scotland a few days before we were due to come home.

Unfortunately unlike deliveries at home in Cornwall, where DPD pretty much arrive at the same time each day & text an hour delivery window, this didn't happen in rural Scotland. I was therefore sitting in watching a day of my holiday tick by not knowing how far away the delivery driver might be from our small village. As I now know we popped to the village shop 200m away to get some lunch a few minutes before the delivery was attempted. (It's amazing we didn't see the vehicle in the tiny village.) I would stress all this was my fault - I should have waited in. (Though currently due to COVID DPD often deliver even signed for parcels to our doorstep at home & don't ring the bell. We trip over them later.)

Having contacted OutdoorGear to explain they replied to my email the next day (they apologised as they had been at a conference & were late getting home) & arranged redelivery to my home address.

Even though I offered to pay the extra postage they did this efficiently at their cost. The poles arrived a couple of days later after a long journey up & down the country.

The bottom line - the best test of a company worth dealing with is if something goes wrong how they deal with it. These guys get 11/10.

Very happy to use again, very happy to thoroughly endorse and really happy to support a fellow small business and keep our purchases away from the tax shy Bezos & Amazon.

Ordered on a Friday and it was delivered by the afternoon on the next day. The item we ordered (waterproof jacket) was the most competitively priced we saw and it arrived in perfect condition. We emailed on the Friday after ordering and got a reply within an hour, which we were impressed with. The actual fit of the item wasn’t right so had to be returned. The returns process was simple and clear. Would definitely recommend based on this order.

Recently ordered a tent online - reasonably priced, and swift delivery, with email updates of the despatch etc status. Seamless experience!

Bought a tent from these guys through Amazon. It was delivered, we took one look at it and thought "that's too big/heavy". Arranged a return and sent it back, then a few days later we found it dumped in our flat building entrance in a broken up box. Got it upstairs and opened it to find a compliments slip with "caN NOT Be [sic] refunded as clear signs of use" written on it. Livid, I contacted them through Amazon. Their response was that they would ask the warehouse team to send pictures of what they allegedly saw. I chased them; no response; I reported them to Amazon and after a week of trying Amazon said they couldn't get hold of them and said they would refund me. I never heard another peep out of these guys. Either they sold me a used tent or they lied to prevent a return and keep the money. Either way I'd avoid them if I was you.

Super impressed with the way that Outdoorgear handled my warranty claim on my Keen hiking boots - there was no quibbling whatsoever and a new pair was despatched to me immediately on their receipt of the defective boots. Will definitely buy from them again!

item arrived next morning by 11am, good packaging and an excellent tent.
tested in garden overnight with very heavy rain showers and no leaks,tent stayed bone dry.

Ordered a pair of Berghaus Hillmaster 2 boots from them two days ago on Monday. Hadn't received any notification, apart from my PayPal receipt, so have them a call. Turned out this was my own fault, as I hadn't ticked the box for notifications. Lad on the phone couldn't have been nicer and checked the order for me, was due to arrive today, Wednesday. As promised, when I got home from work, they were waiting there. Initially, simply because I hadn't heard of the company, I was skeptical about using them, but now wouldn't hesitate using them again. Also a nice wee £30 saving on the boots - £130 instead of £165 on other sites.

Excellent products and delivery speed. I ordered a bunch of different things from similar websites and this order arrived first. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again!

Last week I discovered this company when searching for the best price for some Craghoppers trousers. I did a quick due diligence check and all seemed OK, so I placed my first order.

Communications were simple, but sufficient, and delivery was on time the next day. Since then I've placed two more orders and received the same outstanding service each time.

These guys are definitely on my list for future purchases.

Ordered a buff ladies bobble hat (which was cheaper than any other site incidentally). Absolutely 1st class customer service. Excellent communication. Low delivery price, which is a welcome change. Received email to say it had been despatched within 1hr of placing the order. Item arrived literally the next working day - very impressed & Highly recommend.

I ordered some ski trousers on Monday evening (at a very good price!). They arrived Tuesday morning. Unfortunately they were a bit big for me. I returned them on Wednesday (by recorded delivery. My choice!). I also ordered a new smaller pair. These arrived today (Thursday) and are the perfect size, and the refund for the previous pair is already back in my account.
I don’t see any way this could have been bettered. I’m always a bit hesitant of buying clothing on line as they are often the wrong size so need to be returned. I have had issues with this with other companies in the past.
So it’s 10 stars from me. They will definitely be my first port of call for any ski or outdoor kit in the future.
Highly recommend.

I ordered a new pair of Sealskinz gloves from Outdoor Gear which arrived the next day. Unfortunately the sizing guide for gloves on the Sealskinz site let me down and they were a size too small so I had to return the items using the included return slip in the packaging. To cut a long story short, they were returned on Tuesday & I got the replacements back on Friday - what more can you ask for? Thanks Outdoor Gear , product is excellent, price was the best I could find and your service is top class. I’ll be back!!
