Huge thanks to Julian
Julian was not only professional. He was on time and his customer service was stellar. Julian was also very helpful and knowledgeable with our new A/C system. Julian also helped with getting our UV lights that was promised but has never been installed when we agreed to purchase our new A/C unit.
Thanks Julian .
Great Company
Always on time and the tech Noah did a fantastic job about letting us know what it going on and the things available to us. He was very professional and most pleasant. Never a problem. Thank you Noah and One Hour.
I can only hope an Attorney General
I can only hope an Attorney General, state or federal will begin to investigate One Hour Heating and the Premier Plan. In my experience they may be targeting older homeowners, veterans, with a financial program that is confusing and potentially devastating. One Hour is now suing my dead mother for an improperly installed AC unit. She made payments totaling thousands of dollars, but the payments will never pay the unit off under the terms of their contract.
Poor company culture and management - Primary owner is amazing!
The primary ownership is exceptionally fair, respectful, and genuinely attentive to the day-to-day grievances of the field staff. There is a solid foundation here for an excellent workplace, and the core team of field professionals is highly capable. Unfortunately, the mid-management and dispatch layer creates a volatile and inconsistent work environment due to several core operational issues. First, company policies and procedures are largely unwritten and enforced arbitrarily. Standards appear to shift based on management's immediate convenience rather than established standard operating procedures, creating structural instability for the staff. Furthermore, management frequently utilizes unsubstantiated compliance and asset-related threats as an intimidation tactic to force unrealistic response times from staff. This reactionary approach severely compromises professional trust and long-term job security.
This lack of professionalism extends heavily to client interactions, particularly regarding high-dollar repairs. Customers requesting standard clarifications are often met with condescension. Furthermore, tenants inquiring about repair updates face documented hostility and harassment rather than standard professional courtesy. Because local leadership operates under the assumption that their internal processes are infallible, systemic errors are systematically blamed on either the field staff or the clients themselves, preventing meaningful operational growth. To stabilize employee retention and protect the organization's reputation, ownership should mandate structured onboarding and hands-on training for all new hires tailored specifically to their roles. Additionally, investing in formal customer and employee management training for dispatch and mid-management personnel is critical to correcting these communication barriers.
Overcharged for EasyStart Installation
My AC system was installed by One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning on 6‑17‑2023. On 7‑7‑2026, the AC stopped working, and the technician found the issue was only a dead bee interrupting power to the compressor. After fixing that simple problem, he recommended installing an EasyStart soft‑start kit.
I was charged $1,494.30 for the installation. The EasyStart unit retails for about $300, and the typical installed price is $500–$750. Even premium HVAC companies rarely exceed $900.
Based on this, I believe I was significantly overcharged for a straightforward accessory install.
THEY CAME ON TIME AND FIXED THE AC NOT…
THEY CAME ON TIME AND FIXED THE AC NOT TO MENTION THE SERVICE IS AFFORDABLE. I LOVE THE FACT WE DIDNT HAVE TO WAIT DAYS FOR THEM TO COME
HVAC Installation Review
HVAC Installation Review – Myrtle Beach, SC
I purchased a new unit in May of last year after my old unit had clearly seen better days. It was running constantly and often relying on auxiliary power. At the time, my wife had just been diagnosed with heart failure, so it was very important to me to ensure she was comfortable. Our previous unit simply wasn’t reliable anymore.
The Good:
The new unit itself has been excellent. It runs smoothly, efficiently, and our power bill has noticeably decreased. We also opted for the variable-speed fan, which we absolutely love. From a performance standpoint, I couldn’t ask for anything better.
The Bad:
Our experience during the sales process was frustrating. The representative (Mo) arrived quickly and began presenting options. I had previously been told our old unit was undersized for our home, so I specifically asked for a proper evaluation to ensure we were getting the correct size system.
Unfortunately, I would describe the sales approach as very similar to a car salesman—lots of reassurance but very little detail. I repeatedly asked for a full cost breakdown (unit, labor, additional components, etc.), but was consistently told, “Don’t worry about it, everything is included,” without any real transparency.
The Ugly:
After doing more research and speaking with other companies, I strongly feel that we overpaid—potentially by 30% or more.
At our one-year check-up, the unit was running perfectly. However, we were told that our ductwork now needs to be cleaned. This was disappointing, as duct concerns were discussed during the initial consultation and we were assured everything would be addressed. Now it feels like an additional expense that should have been handled or clearly communicated upfront.
Final Thoughts:
While the equipment itself is excellent, the lack of transparency and follow-through during the sales process was a major concern. My recommendation is to shop around, get multiple quotes, and insist on a detailed breakdown before making a decision. I believe there are other companies out there that can provide the same quality equipment with better honesty and pricing
I had been having issues with my HVAC…
I had been having issues with my HVAC system and was uncertain which company to call to check it out. I had seen advertisements for One Hour and contacted the Monroe,LA location. I scheduled an appointment and the company representative arrived on time to perform a comprehensive inspection of my system. The inspection identified several areas of concern that needed to be addressed. My system was older and had been showing it's age for a couple of years now. My electric bills had been going up due to having to run the system harder. It was recommended that the system be replaced with a more efficient and modernized model rather than patching up the old one. The One Hour representative explained the pros and cons to me in a way that I could understand and took the time to address all questions that I had. HVAC work, in my experience, is never "cheap" but I have learned that you usually get what you pay for. I am retired and my income isn't as flexible as I would like but One Hour was able to arrange financing that fit within my budget comfortably. Trey is the technician who installed my new system. He was very skilled, knowledgeable and professional in appearance. Once installation was complete he thoroughly tested and adjusted the system to ensure it was operating properly. Before leaving he cleaned the work area up nicely and instructed me on the operation of all controls. He politely answered any questions I had. I am completely satisfied with the service that I received from the team at One Hour Heating and Air of Monroe,La and I recommend them to my family and friends.
Does management even exist???
I’ve been a customer for nearly 10 yrs over 2 residences. Never had any problems until recently. Short story, my unit was likely misdiagnosed twice and I had to get another company to fix it. I paid One Hour $473 more than the other company to NOT fix my unit, was made to agree to pay ANOTHER $644 when the unit wasn’t fixed the first time and was told (by a fake manager) to be happy I wasn’t paying $1200 instead. Then I was charged 2 additional months AFTER I cancelled my membership, had to call each time to get a refund, and was promised a call from management that never came. Save yourself some stress and go with a company that has management that actually cares about its customers. Long story:
I noticed my heat was blowing in short spurts but my house was warm and I had a routine check up scheduled the next day. The next morning, the technician said my unit was frozen. They said they needed to check for leaks and it would cost $644. I agreed and they found one in the valve core. They fixed it and pressurized the unit. They said my unit was ‘thirsty’. The next morning the air was blowing in short spurts and the unit was frozen again. I called and someone took my information and said someone from One Hour would call me back. All day, no call. I called again Sunday morning and got One Hour. They said they had no record of my previous days call. She said the next available appointment was the next day, Mon, and never offered to send someone that day. The next day the technicians said that they needed to do another leak search and charge me another $644. I called and asked for the manager and Lisa said she was who I needed to talk to. (To me that implied that she was the manager). She said even the most experienced technicians can miss a ‘pinhole’ leak and the technician that was there now was more experienced than the one Friday. I did not think I should be charged when the ‘not as experienced’ technician that was there Friday must have missed a leak. Again she said it was unreasonable for me to expect a technician to find a ‘pinhole’ leak the first time. She said that she was giving me a deal, the search they were planning to do was more extensive and cost $1200 but they are only charging me the $644. I told her I had no choice, I needed heat. They discovered they overcharged my unit by nearly 2 lbs on Friday. Because it was their error they did not charge me. After that, the unit worked fine for a few weeks. One Saturday morning it was below freezing, the unit was blowing short spurts again and was frozen. I called another company and the technician came within an hour. They said my fan was going out and was an easy fix that was covered by my warranty, I needed was to pay for labor, which was $122 plus the after hours fee of $49. (Total $171). He said when the fan is going out, you cannot check for leaks because the unit cannot pressurize. I called and canceled my membership with One Hour. She asked why and I explained the service and the rude ‘manager’ Lisa. She told me that Lisa was definitely NOT a manager. She also said I would be charged the membership fee on Jan 5th, as it takes a few weeks to cancel. I was charged Jan 5th, but was charged again on Feb 12th. I called and confirmed I was canceled and she had no idea why I was charged. I called back the next week to confirm that they had issued me a refund check and I was cancelled. Mar 5th I was charged again. Furious, I called the office and asked to speak with a manger. They said it takes 24 to 48 hrs to get a call back. This was on a Thursday and she was sure they would call me back the following day (Friday). The next TUESDAY I had still not received a call. I called back and she could see no one had looked into getting me a refund but she would. She could not see if I was still on the list to be called because she was not the one who escalated the call. I received the second refund check the following week and so far, no more charges. I have still to this day, never received a call from management. DO THEY EVEN EXIST????
Annual HVAC Checkup Experience
Annual HVAC Checkup Experience 4/5/2026
I had the pleasure of meeting Aiden Heinecke this morning for my annual HVAC checkup. Prior to his arrival, I received a text message along with a photo from Aiden confirming he was on the way. Upon arrival, Aiden greeted me pleasantly and explained the tasks he would be performing, including an estimate of how long the service call would take. He began work promptly and efficiently, completing the initial inspection and service.
After finishing the checkup, Aiden provided several recommendations for additional maintenance, clearly outlining their order of importance and explaining how each would benefit my HVAC system. He also provided pricing details for each suggestion. Together, we decided to address two of the recommended issues, following his suggested priority. Aiden again let me know how much longer the service call would take and proceeded without delay.
Once both tasks were completed, Aiden cleaned up the workspace, packed his tools, and returned to review the work performed. He thoroughly went over the costs for the day, and payment was completed for the service call.
Throughout the entire appointment, Aiden Heinecke demonstrated politeness and professionalism. He was punctual and showed dedication to his responsibilities as a representative of One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning Company.
I would highly recommend this company for their quality service and excellent products. Working with One Hour and their outstanding staff members, such as Aiden, ensures a positive experience. You can’t go wrong with One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning.
The Technicians Do Not Have Enough Knowledge
Our A/C system was leaking Freon. The one hour technician replaced the parts and Freon, it cost us $5000 but the Freon was still leaking. They sent three different technicians but couldn’t find anything wrong. They just changed Freon again and said that we needed to replace the Freon every two months to keep the A/C working. Is it ridiculous!!!
We had to call another company to check and repair the system. They found the problem and got it fixed right away.
Do Not use the One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning.
I had an extremely poor and exhausting…
I had an extremely poor and exhausting experience with Cullins One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning.
From November 8, 2025 through late December 2025, the company failed to properly diagnose or repair the heating system in my home. Over this period, five different technicians visited my house, and each one gave a different diagnosis and a different price. None of them were able to fix the problem.
According to their own service records:
• One technician recommended replacing a low-pressure switch
• Another disagreed and blamed the TXV
• A later technician determined that both prior diagnoses were incorrect and concluded that the evaporator coil and lineset were contaminated and had failed, requiring full replacement.
Because of these repeated misdiagnoses and delays, my heating system was forced to run in emergency mode for over two months, during some of the coldest weather of the year (down to about 3°F / -16°C). My family lived in a cold home throughout this period, and we were left with over $1,000 in additional electric bills.
This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a prolonged failure to resolve an essential home service during winter. The lack of consistency, accountability, and professional competence was shocking for a company that advertises itself as reliable and customer-focused.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values accurate diagnostics, transparency, or timely service.
Lessons Learned
Lessons Learned: 1) Make sure you watch the technicians from start to finish to make sure the work is completed. 2) Make sure that what you are paying for is exactly what needs to be done. Do not let them sale you products. 3) Do not sign up for the Comfort Club membership. It’s a year minimum obligation for them not to honor the commitment. 4) Ask for an experienced technician. The average age for the 3 that came to my house was 22.
My truth: My AC had cutoff as a result of a clogged drain. There was mold growing in my system. I was shown the picture by the first technician. You would think that’s what they would clean up. No. Left the mold all in my system after paying $523. But now instead of a slight smell in my bathroom, after the technician left I have a smell permeated all over my house. So I call the company back within the 30 day timeframe. The second technician comes out and show me pictures of the same mold in my system. If a company comes to your house, the professional thing to do, is actually address the issue. Charge the customer if you have to, but address the actual issue. The company charged me another $129, after paying $523, just for the technician to come out to tell exactly what the other technician did. Ok. Then clean the system. They wanted to sell my some UV light that would kill the mold. I am not an AC tech, but common sense would tell someone you have to clean it first. The technician told me that this $1200 UV light will disintegrate the mold. They want to make me another appointment. Ok. But why would I pay for a technician to tell me the exact same thing the other did. I can actually show paperwork if you DM me. The way the technician presented the package was like they were going to clean up the system, I got the number 2 package. Apparently, I only paid for the drain line cleaning which was over $300. But for each items the rest of the number 2 package is $300 each! Clean/adjust, de-ice, timer, breaker, uv bulb, flame sensor, pilot, clean/adjust filter, clean/adjust evaporator coil, clean/adjust fins…on and on. That’s the number 2 package. There are 10 different ones. This company is money hungry. You really don’t care about people’s AC system. How can you in good conscience, leave mold to permeate the air in someone’s home? Update: I got a call from the Operations Manager. He said had I got the Coil Scrubber for $1100, they would have cleaned my system. You be the judge about that.
-Day 2 of 365, I am still having to pay them, one review from a Cybersecurity Engineer.
One hour is just a deceptive name
One hour is just a deceptive name.
Sales people are deceptive - ruthlessly deceptive.
Had a ac to be replaced. The second floor was working fine. Convinced me to replace that too, at twice the cost of what I could have done that for. ( which I learned later- my fault). Now that replaced ac breaks down almost every month. - only been a few months.
If there is anyway I could get them to haul their junk out of my house and refund me, I will happily do it.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, if you want to keep your peace of mind.
SCAM ALERT!!
SCAM ALERT!!
This company is a complete scam. They have been ripping me off for $20 per month and have not sent techs out for scheduled appointments. Now my a/c stopped working and they still refuse to send someone out. My $20 bought me a $1000 repair with a real a/c company. DO NOT use this sham of a business for your HVAC needs.
Don’t call these clowns
trustpilot’s fraud algorithm falsely flags honest, positive consumer feedback as "advertising," making it impossible for real buyers to praise good businesses.
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. We called them because we like to use local businesses (Frisco) when we can. Our mistake. They charged us $600 to replace 2 capacitors that cost $20 on amazon and take 10-15min to install. I should have had the tech remove the new capacitors and just pay the $100 service visit fee, but it was 105 degrees out and I needed to get it fixed. They also put a full press upsell on their service plan. We will see how that goes considering some of the other reviews I have read. I was particularly annoyed because he knew exactly what the issue was when he walked up to the unit. It is a 2 year old Trane and it didn't not take more than 5min to determine it was the capacitor.
No Accountability
In July of 2022 we had several people out to quote us for a new AC for our home. Ultimately, we went with One Hour and were initially satisfied with the service, the unit, and the additional service plan that we purchased.
On Sunday, June 23rd, my husband noticed a drip coming from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. Upon further inspection, he found that the copper line in the attic was leaking. We immediately called One Hour to come out and fix it. They came out the next day, Monday, June 24th, and their technician, Michael, said that the insulation around the copper line was old and disintegrating, and had not been replaced when we got the new unit. He fixed the part that was dripping, but by that point, much of the insulation we had blown into the attic in December of 2023 in that area was decimated and there were several cracks in the ceiling due to the water damage from the leaking line. Michael confirmed that the insulation on the line should have been replaced with the installation of the new unit. When we inquired about their process to fix the ceiling, Michael shared that his supervisor told him to tell us to claim it on our homeowner’s insurance.
Not satisfied with this answer, we reached out multiple times to speak with a manager. After waiting Monday evening, and all-day Tuesday, we were finally able to reach a manager on Wednesday, June 26th who was available to come out on Friday, June 28th. The manager, Carl, showed up at our house an hour past the scheduled appointment time. We explained to him the situation and what Michael found, and we told him we just wanted One Hour to make our ceiling right since the problem was due to incomplete installation. We also explained that we subscribe to the company’s service plan and at least two, if not three, additional technicians have been in our attic, on schedule, to inspect and service our unit and its parts, and no one has ever brought this to our attention, leading us to believe that we have been receiving incomplete inspections. The manager looked at the damage to the ceiling as well as the copper line that was dripping and made notes. The manager argued that replacing the line insulation is not part of the installation of a new AC unit, but as consumers, my husband and I aren’t sure why that is the case. Additionally, we can’t figure out why no one ever brought to our attention that the insulation looks corroded and needs replacing even if it’s not part of the new install. We would have had One Hour replace it, no problem, but we didn’t know it wasn’t replaced at the time of the new unit install, and for the past almost two years, we have trusted that the technicians we have over to service the unit are checking everything and reporting back to us what needs attention. They certainly tell us when we need a new air filter.
We heard back from Carl, the manager, today and he said they will not be providing any compensation to repair the ceiling, which since his visit with us last Friday has gotten worse and looks like it is about to fall in. We trusted this company as AC experts and not only did they fail us when it came to a complete install, but they have also failed us in terms of making the incomplete install right. This is distressing as all we wanted was for them to take accountability for their mistake and compensate us for the damages. We didn’t want to leave a negative review, we didn’t want to cancel our service plan with them, we didn’t want to take them to court, but they are forcing our hand by not righting the situation.
We understand that mistakes happen and if One Hour had stepped up to the plate and taken care of us, we would recommend them; however, because they have denied accountability and refused to offer compensation to correct the damage, we regret doing business with them from the start and do not recommend their services.
This place is a JOKE
This place is a JOKE. First, you have a 'contract' and you're supposed to get a maintenance check twice a year. Good luck. It's October and I haven't had a single one. Second, they don't seem to have a grasp of the word 'schedule.' Twice I've been scheduled and...wait for it...nothing. Called them and they said they called to reschedule. NOPE! My phone is glued to me. No one called and they also said my part just came in today (the day of the repair appointment). Well, then why have they been calling since last Monday to schedule the repair? And let's not leave out the part that the last technician who 'fixed' my air conditioner put the compressor in UPSIDE DOWN. Don't waste your time or money with this unstructured organization.
Replacement HVAC system for new house
Replacement HVAC system for new house
In May, I had One Hour come to my home to install a new heat pump/AC system, and their partner company, Benjamin Franklin, was contracted with them to also replace a water heater at the same time. I have no serious problems with pricing or the customer service before the appointment or the actual technicians performing the service afterwards.
The problem was, after the work was completed. They had to come back a few days later to finish making things up to code. Cool, no problem. Then after that, the work was complete and I was told that the company would be in touch for any remaining steps that needed to be completed, or to follow up on a few questions that I had that the techs couldn't answer.
A week passes, I have heard nothing. I then spend several hours a week attempting to call or email or contact via their appointment request system on their website, just to have someone confirm everything is done, in addition to answer questions about the system they installed.
In the strange occurrence that someone actually picks up their phone (which is about once a month, with several attempts per week during normal business hours), they take my information and promise follow up, only to never be heard from again.
Weeks have now turned into FOUR MONTHS. I admit I stopped trying for about 2-3 weeks, but I tried again today, only to be told my address isn't in their service area and they can't help me. They INSTALLED the device. And I'm not in their area.
I give up. This company is not worth your time or money. I left a review on google, and someone responded to it asking me to call them. I'll let anyone reading this guess the result of that call.
