Awful
Awful. Been with them far too long. Service keeps (!) dropping. I mean like 7 or 8 times a day. Time to leave - Their website says Open 8am to 8pm... Oh, but their phoneline says open from 8.30... Oh, but then it is AFTER 8.30 and still getting the 'phone lines are open after 8.30' message. Argh! Never again.
Do not recommend
Do not recommend, have been trying to contact these guys about my broadband since April and still no reply to emails or complaints made via their website! Have now stopped paying my wifi untill its either sorted or they cancle as they clearly dont care. Due to being deaf i cant phone the company and only reply i got from them was they already have it noted on their system im deaf! So they know but refuse to answer!
Look elsewhere
The service initially was ok but I had a couple of issues where it slowed to a crawl and then after having received a letter stating catagorically that in the 12 months of my contract they would not increase the price for the last 2 months they have taken an extra £3pm. When I queried this by Email I had no reply so I phoned them and spoke to someone who may have been in India as I could hardly understand anything she said. After she had done a check on the speed she admitted there was a fault and the put me through to billing who said it was company policy to increase prices in July each year and was not interested when I told him I had an email promising that prices would not increase during my 12 month contract. Typical of Sky who own the company and want to bleed us for every penny they can. My advice is to look elsewhere and preferably with an English customer service
Avoid at all costs
Absolutely awful. My connection has been dropping for months, every day, for extended periods of time. I'm working from home and this is seriously hindering my business. Not only do they refuse to fix it unless I actually call them (I'm deaf and need steady and reliable Internet access to use Relay UK), they're even threatening to increase their price by a further 50% if I don't sign up for one more year! And I know this isn't coming from my setup, their own website says so. Avoid at all costs.
Now Broadband pie in the Sky
Let me start by saying I have been with Now Broadband (and their TV offerings) including a calls package since 2017 and have found them to be helpful and good value. However, this year I decided to switch my broadband and phone to full fibre and went to another company. This is at a time when Sky are taking over the technical support of the Now Service. I had no problems with the switch.
The first issue was that my NOW login email address was to a more recently closed account (closed for security reasons) and not accessible, but I had a separate contact email account - no problem so far. When Sky took over the contact email account disappeared. NOW could no longer use it because it was a Sky email address, so I had to create a new email account just to be able to log into my NOW account.
The second issue is I wanted to see my final bill for my NOW broadband service. My account on their website says the information is not available, their help? bot gives me a URL that took me to a non-existent page, a NOW representative could tell me what my final settlement would be, but I wanted it in writing, my new provider would compensate me for any leaving early charges if I provided proof, but that could not be done. All in all, this part of the business seems to have become a bit of a mess since the Sky intervention.
That continue to charge you after…
That continue to charge you after cancellation
Ok for £24 per month for two years
Ok for £24 per month for two years, however if you want to cancel within your cancellation period take care!
I attempted to cancel july 5 th and apparently it was cancelled and i was sent an email yo prove this!😂😂😂
After two attempts at cancelling with two separate operators, i was told i had to speak to the cancellation dept 🤣🤣 they have taken £44.00 from my account and apparently this is because my husband has set up vodaphone that haven’t been able to set up our new account x tbh i told now it is none of their business if vodaphone haven't completed their work or not !
I don't care, i just want rid of now tv as soon as possible!
Please bugger off!
I have cancelled my bank card so you can’t take anymore money from me ! Absolutely awful company avoid
Avoid.
Was a decent price in the beginning but throughout my time with them they constantly upped their prices mid contract even outside April, don’t know how it is legal! Secondly the customer service is rubbish. Customer service agents are incredibly unhelpful. They blocked my one click switch, so had to do that manually and then had to try and cancel with them direct. After 3 tries (and customer service confirming the cancellation after much effort) I finally have my cancellation email.
Nonexistent customer service
Completely nonexistent customer service. Was with them for 5 years and broadband was okay, not particularly fast but was fine for a single telly occasionally streaming. Price hikes weren’t worth the speed. Could never get a hold of anyone when internet went down but always managed to problem solve or wait it out. Cancelled out of contract and was told I was due a refund for overpayment. Two months of emails and not a single reply. Live chat doesn’t exist for broadband customers. Was told this on the NOWtv chat but was told a callback request had been put in for the broadband team and never received a call. Can’t get through and keep getting disconnected when I try to call. Honestly the internet service is just totally average and not worth the hassle of how impossible it is to contact anyone to amend your contract/accept new offers or cancel when your contract is up.
Good experience overall
Used them for 4 years and never had any major problems.
Contacting customer service was always tedious (with them trying to increase my subscription), but overall the cheap price was worth it.
Avoid Now Broadband
I am writing to formally complain about a frustrating billing issue I have encountered with your service.
About a month ago, I updated my payment method from my credit card to my debit card so that future charges would be made to my debit card. Although the new payment details appeared to be updated in my account, you still charged my credit card again for the latest billing cycle. Immediately after noticing this, I called and cancelled the service within the same billing period.
Despite the cancellation, you deducted £44.50 from my credit card. I was assured that I would receive a full refund, but I have only been refunded £41.68, and I do not understand why there is a discrepancy.
It has now been over a month, and the refund still hasn’t appeared in full on my card. Because you charged my credit card, I am also incurring interest charges for an amount I should not have had to pay in the first place. Essentially, I am out of pocket not only for the incorrect charge, but also for the interest on that charge.
When I called again, I was told it would take another 3–5 business days for the refund to process. Meanwhile, my credit card payment is due, and I will be forced to pay that interest out of my own pocket. I find this completely unacceptable.
This has been the worst experience I have had with an internet provider. Reaching your customer service is a challenge, nothing gets resolved via chat, and everything requires a call, which only prolongs the process unnecessarily.
I request an immediate and full refund of £44.50, as well as compensation for the interest charges I have incurred due to your error. I expect this matter to be resolved without further delay.
Cannot access my online account
Cannot access my online account. Called NOW numerous times: each time I can barely understand what the overseas call centre operator is telling me and each time it's a different excuse
In May I was told not to worry it will be working later. It wasn't.
Now I'm told it's a glitch and if I changed over to SKY then this wouldn't happen.
I feel they just make it up to get rid of me. When my contract runs out it's bye bye NOW.
Hopeless.
Shocking customer service - avoid
Advised NOW of a change of address on 23rd June, negotiated a new package and was advised that this would now be managed by Sky, rather than NOW. NOW have continued to take payment in addition to the new Sky payments and this has still not been resolved by NOW. Numerous calls and emails and I still waiting for the incorrectly taken payment to be refunded. Shocking customer service - it would be a different story I'm sure if I owed them money - avoid, avoid, avoid.
Do. Not. Choose. NowBroadband. THIS IS A WARNING.
This has been the most infuriating experience with a service provider.
We've had issues with their billing where it won't take the money from the account on the agreed upon date. The money will be in the account, they won't take it, and then they send a notice that it is declined.
Obviously, there's an issue with their backend automation or perhaps the card. Simple, right?
Wrong.
I tried setting up a new card. They declined that too. I figured maybe the online platform was down for the day.
I tried the next day. And the next day. And the next day. ON MY VACATION.
When I got back, I called them to get the payment to go through. It worked (finally) and I figured the situation was resolved.
Wow I was wrong. Then they didn't take the money the following month either.
That brings us to today. I was having issues with the wifi being spotty. As someone who works from home, this isn't great, so I called to check in on the technical side.
That's when they tell me they've cancelled the account.
I ended up needing to speak with 5 different people, only one of whom was kind and helpful. The others all interrupted me, spoke down to me, and blamed me for the payment issue.
I figured I could just sign up for another wifi provider and call it a day.
Nope. They've set it up so that I can't leave with an open PROVIDE order. A what? Basically a pending cancellation on their end that basically black lists you to any other company until THEY decide when you're cancelled.
Again, I work from home. I depend on my wifi services.
I had to demand to speak to a manager (ew) and they told me they have sent in a request to try to get that resolved in 5-7 business days. Oh, but Now could also cancel my services within that period and not let me have another provider until Sept 8.
But I won't know unless I call. Oh, and there's no guarantee that request will go through.
Anyways, now I'm stuck in limbo, hoping I can get this resolved.
Their customer service was so awful, especially for £42 per month. I am stunned that this is how a customer would be treated and I can't wait to be able to get with another service provider.
Hold me in your thoughts. <3
Paid a total of £300 for 12 months…
Paid a total of £300 for 12 months broadband (£25 a month). Due to NOW Broadband totally failing customer obligations, I have successfully obtained two compensation claims totalling £250 via CISAS.
If you have been mistreated by NOW, please don’t let them get away with it. Report them to CISAS.
Very poor customer service
Contact now to arrange a home move, everything was in place to have broadband working on the day of the move. Instead Now cancelled my account and contract and left me with no Internet when I really need it. No communication or reason why they did this. Calling it a technical issue when it is clearley someone not doing their job.
More bother than it's worth
Unless you're prepared to take it to the wire- and I really haven't the time or energy- forget about NOW. They will tie you up in knots with their lies, incompetence and evasion. Twice my internet went down and both times they tried to point the finger of blame in my direction. I took photos, argued my case before NOW had Openreach test and repair the line. I lost my service (first time) for 15 days and NOW offered £10 compensation. Only when I threatened them with OFCOM did they buckle and discount 2 months of service. I'd been on the phone six times (arguing the toss over who was responsible for what) lasting more than two hours in call time. The second time I had no internet for 5 days. The usual denial from NOW when I reported the fault. I registered a complaint on the email address NOW provided and they simply ignored it and closed the case. Whenever, you report anything they just offer a so-called superior (more expensive) package. Horrible money grubbing organisation.
Originally not too bad NOW AWFUL
Originally not too bad, reasonable price and only occasionally down, but now it's awful.Broadband is always down, if I ever switch my router off it takes hours to connect so I have to leave it on permanently and even then it's down for hours daily.Been with them less than 3 years and the cost has gone from 23 pounds a month to nearly 45!! All for shocking reliability and good luck getting help from them.Something wrong at my end sent engineer...nothing wrong my end and still soooo bad.Now I'm waiting for my new supplier, reading these comments I wonder how much trouble I will have with Now escaping from them!!
Terrible service
This companies systems are actually so terrible and infuriating that it honestly isn't worth going with them even for a good deal. Pay a few extra pounds to go elsewhere.
When my bank card changed they didn't take my payment and switched off my service without telling me. I then used their phone system to pay and updated my card details to my correct details on the online system, and I can see they have my correct details.
However for three months in a row now they have failed to take my payment, and not sent any communication. The first I know of any problems is when my service has been cut off.
The telephone menu system is also the most infuriating system to navigate.
Avoid at all costs
Disgusting Customer Service
Disgusting Customer Service
Just called Now Broadband to make sure my account has been cancelled due to changing provider. The woman I spoke to was straight up rude, told me she would not cancel until the end of the month. I asked to speak to a manager; she point-blank refused. When I asked to raise a complaint, she told me to do it online and hung up. I called back and spoke to Aqeel, who has made sure my account was closed from when I switched over and to call back in 8-10 days. Why this couldn’t have been done on the first call, I’ll never know. Do not use Now Broadband.
