Hi I was at the Robert S K Welch…

Hi I was at the Robert S K Welch courthouse today in st Catharines around 240pm July 7

During my visit today I overhead one of your staff. A male officer standing with other female staff around him. Dark but greying hair with beard. He was standing near the intake office.
He was being an abelist and committing a hate crime toward disability people. I always thought police were supposed to uphold the laws not break them.

I was talking to your court staff about applying for a private prosecution.
He was making rude comment that I believe we're directed towards me. I'm a disabled person. He was calling me loony tunes and he saying he would use his hand cuffs on me. The other staff were laughing about it.i believe this is a violation of the human rights code not to mention a serious breach of professional conduct.

Disabled people like myself have rights too. For the record I have a form of autism called aspergers. So the officer needs to get his insults straight. I'm learning disabled not loony tunes

People like him are the reasons I don't trust police.

The other court staff are nicer.

Your tax dollars at work.

On February 1, 2024, I placed several calls to 911, for a sexual assault case.

It took them over an hour to respond. When they finally showed up, one of the two Police Officers was clearly ill-equipped to handle such a call. He was rude, unprofessional & unable to satisfactorily perform his duties.

In the following days, I attempted on multiple occasions to contact that same Police Officer in an effort to submit relevant video surveillance footage. He did not respond to my voice messages.

I then filed a complaint with OIPRD. It wasn't until then, I received a callback from another Police Officer, from their Sexual Assault division. After a couple of phone conversations & several email exchanges with her, I was able to submit said video surveillance footage.

Why was a Police Officer, (clearly) with inadequate training assigned to a 911 call? Why did he not respond to my voice messages? Why did it take me having to file a formal complaint with OIPRD, before I received a callback? Why did I have to file a formal complaint with OIPRD, before I was able to submit my video surveillance footage?

The Niagara Regional Police failed to perform their duties. Fortunately, everything is documented & the investigation is ongoing. I am confident that the Police Officer who was unable to perform, will walk away unscathed from this incident.

The actions of Niagara Regional Police have left my family & I feeling extremely vulnerable & unsafe. They failed to perform their duties. And now, I have to wait for the Police to investigate the Police. I'm sure there's no bias there.

I am currently studying for my firearms license, as I have lost all faith in Niagara Regional Police. I'll take my chances in a court of Law if necessary, before I put my trust in the Police.

In November 2023, a white male (as captured/recorded on my video surveillance system), walked onto my driveway & slashed all the tires on both of my cars. Niagara Regional Police didn't even send out an Officer to investigate. They simply put it in their files.

Protect yourselves, because the Police will protect you, the same way they protected me.
