Our Journey...- After previously running a charter company and training academy from 1999, we realised there was a way we could improve the learning experience for RYA Theory Courses. In 2005, we made the decision to develop an online Day Skipper theory course and sought approval from the RYA. After our course material was reviewed by Mike Diamond and Chris Slade, RYA examiners of examiners, we embarked on writing the Coastal Skipper and Ocean Yachtmaster online theory courses. We dedicated months to developing ocean animations, and worked tirelessly on the weather and passage making modules. Eventually, we completed the course, and it exceeded our expectations. Today, we continue to improve our current range of courses, keeping them in line with current RYA standards and quality requirements, while also bringing out our own range of Navathome Theory Courses, like the “Diesel Engine Course” and “Basic Training” courses.
