National Life is a total rip-off—do not use this insurance! My husband and I took out a policy and ended up losing $12,000. I underwent back surgery and was completely incapacitated for four months; when I filed a claim, they told me I wasn't eligible for coverage. Yet, when I originally signed up, an agent assured me that I would be covered in the event of any serious health issue—and in my case, it was indeed very serious; my husband had to care for me full-time for four months. You only qualify to receive anything if you are bedridden and unable to lift a finger. I basically threw $12,000 down the drain. So, if you want to toss your money in the trash, go ahead and sign up with National Life.

This company rates less than 1 star. I have been sending money for years yet my policy has a net worth $12000 less than the money submitted. I finally had enough, cancelled the policy and requested the balance. I submitted the form and was told it would take 10 business days. Ten business days later I called to be told, I submitted the wrong form and after the completion of the new form it would take 30 to 35 business days for processing.
Do NOT use their services, unless you have a deep desire to throw away your money.

Juan Franco will tell you it only takes 5 years to see a return and all the wonderful things about this insurance. It is a total lie. After five years, you will se no such thing and he will tell you it will take 10 years. Stay away from these people. Invest your money with people you actually know that care about you. This guy is just looking for a paycheck.

Beware of NLG

Our family has had multiple policies with National Life Group for years, each held between roughly 3–6 years. We trusted this company to be there if something serious ever happened. Unfortunately, when we actually needed help, they completely failed.

One of our family members has been seriously ill and unable to work for about a year. The policy includes living benefits that are supposed to provide support in situations exactly like this. Yet despite that, National Life Group has not paid any living benefits.

For the past five months, he has been calling them weekly trying to get answers or progress on the claim. Every time it’s the same story—delays, excuses, or no meaningful update. Meanwhile, the bills and financial stress continue to pile up while the company that promised protection does nothing.

What makes this even more frustrating is that while they delay and avoid paying the benefits, they continue collecting their monthly premiums without fail. The payments are taken like clockwork, but when it comes time for them to honor the policy, they suddenly become unresponsive.

An insurance company proves its value when policyholders actually need to file a claim. In our experience, National Life Group has been dishonest, unreliable, and incredibly frustrating to deal with. After years of paying premiums, we expected basic accountability and support. Instead we’ve been met with endless delays, constant runaround, and no payments.

Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that others think twice before trusting National Life Group with their financial security. When it mattered most, they were nowhere to be found. Stay away.

This company doesn’t even deserve a 1 star horrible company do not put your money here unless you are giving it away and do not want it back I was told that I would earn 9% on my cash value check my IUL account and was told a lie spoke with a agent before canceling my policy he told me that I was eligible to get my money back now another agent told me that I can not get any of my money back $1200.00 gone

I want to make this perfectly clear RUN AWAY from this company!!

I want to make this perfectly clear: you were fired in November. After ten years of loyalty, never filing a claim, and paying thousands of dollars for life insurance, you dramatically increased our rates by 1000% and 800%. As a result, we chose not to renew the policy and canceled it with you. I have contacted you multiple times—locally, nationally, and now through this app—and I am determined to make it known that I will pursue any necessary action to hold you accountable online across all social media platforms. I will not tolerate receiving bills or correspondence from you nearly six months after ending our relationship. Never send me or my wife any further letters or notices. If you do, I will hire a lawyer and sue for harassment.

Son unos tramposos y dilatadores de procesos

Cuando llamas a reclamar y tienes menos de dos años prepárate para que te investiguen hasta donde naciste, se tardan mas de los 90 dias qué dice el contrato para pagar, son buenos para cobrar pero para pagar buscan lo minimo para no pagar, a dicional a eso te mienten cuando es que puedes abrir un reclamo, trataron de dilatar el proceso 90 dias por eso les hice un reporte en el departamento de seguros, tu pagas por si te pasa algo y quedas incapacitado y no puedes pagar esta gente basura, busca lo minimo para no sortal ni un dolar aqui no inviertan no sirve.

I am now completely disabled and havent been able to access anything my plan was sold to me for, for going on 5 years now.
These people are liars and grifters and they treat sick people like shit.

Truly, it is incomprehensible how monstrous you have to be to work for this company.

They steal your money and dont make claims nor hold agents accountable.

Edit after their reply: I have called them dozens of times. They never call back. They haven’t even gotten me an agent in over 9 months.

Do not wast your time with National…

Do not wast your time with National life group. This company is inconsiderate and dishonest. The agent does not disclose accurate truthful information there a lack of information that the agent should be discussing that they do not. This company is a criminal of a company they are complete thieves. This is a disgusting, immoral corrupted company that steals your money. Should be shut down, a down right dishonest company. I caution you to stay away from this horrible company. The Compliance team and supervisor not not care or will not address questions and concerns about reviews to hold concerning agent accountable. This company does not care. A complete same no morals or integrity of this horrible company at all. As a word of advice I would stay far away from this disgusting company a complete wast and some of there sick agents.

Don’t do it!

Started out asking for a quote to having to answer 30+ questions and then being told my policy would be 20 dollars a month then changed to 27 and when the bill came in the mail it was changed to 29! Then kept telling my agent to not pull money until I see the policy and approve and she assured me I was good and if it happened they would refund it! Told her again I don’t want a refund I just don’t want my money pulled before I see a policy, why they would take money before you even agree, see or sign a policy is crazy! But they did! Pulled 29 from my account because I was told my card had to be linked before o get a quote to my account! Then tell me it wake 25 days to refund my money I didnt approve and when Danusa told me she informed me they would take
Payment and ALL insurance company’s take payment before you sign a policy or see it! Which is false! I’ve gone through hell trying to get my money back, granted it’s only 29 dollars but this is ridiculous! And she also sent me another guys quote on accident with his name and bday info all on it! Tired to tell me I was wrong but screen shotted all the messages and nowhere does it say they take money right away especially when I told her no! Went with ferber life and guess

Greedy Reps

Their sales agents and his firm GLP are dishonest and in ONLY for themselves. They do not care their ordinary clients, put me in financially difficult position. They care only about their commissions. Avoid them at all costs!!!!!

Do not trust this company

Do not trust their agents, they will over sell the products. The company does not care about any financial binds you get in, they will take all and I mean all the money and do not allow you to drop the policy with a fee or percentage. But they offer you to be able to keep the policy open buy paying the minimum out of your own savings till it runs dry haha. If you put a complaint in they say you knew everything about this because you signed.

Don't waste your time

Don't waste your time, finances, or your breath on them. They readily will accept your money, but when it comes time to get it out and close your account, they play games.

This company has serious credibility…

This company has serious credibility issues. I was supposedly cleared to work with them as an independent agent. I spent time and limited resources in reaching out to potential clients. After about a couple of weeks I was told that they wanted to sever ties. The issue, I was convicted of a crime at the age of 16. I'm in my fifties now and fully disclosed what in reality should have been sealed. Oren stated they have a zero tolerance policy. They'll ask you to disclose details about arrests as if they're genuinely going to consider you. I made horrible decisions as a teenager but now as an adult my life is as pure as snow. The fact that they rejected my service says more about them than about me. Self-righteous people like Oren think they help society by closing doors; however, it's the opposite. If someone changes honor the change instead of limiting options for someone to live an honest life.

Nicole White With National Life Group in Texas

While my experience with National Life Group has revealed several concerning service issues across multiple representatives, I feel compelled to first address my interactions with agent Nicole White. My journey with National Life Group began in 2017 when I met Ms. White at the school where I was teaching. What started as a seemingly trustworthy professional relationship, with my husband and I purchasing annuities through her services, gradually revealed troubling aspects of their business practices.
Ms. White's dramatic shift in demeanor and service quality became apparent when we, as clients, simply sought to access our own funds for home improvements. Her adverse reaction to our legitimate request and suggestion that we seek another agent was not only unprofessional but raised serious questions about the company's commitment to client service.
This experience with Ms. White, while significant, appears to be symptomatic of broader service issues within National Life Group. However, I believe it's important to address these concerns systematically, beginning with this specific instance that clearly demonstrates the disconnect between their promised client service and actual treatment of long-term customers.
My purpose in sharing this is twofold: to alert potential clients to these service issues and to highlight the need for greater accountability in client relationships within National Life Group's business practices.

NLG had a rep named Jason Rodriguez. I lost $27K in a few months. He disappeared into thin air. Very suspect. I moved over to another investment company and have been watching my funds grow instead of being taken from me
