This is a horrible company, they will steal your security deposite and anything else. They misrepresented a property we secured and paid for only to arrive to a complete disaster, leaks, noise, no lights, mold, the sad part is they said lets look at three more and all three union a walk through with the manager all failed general property mgmt. protocol….. Frozen refrigerator door would not open… Leak from AC , no air conditioner in a loft that designed with master bedroom on third floor!! We booked this through VRBO and they are calling this company everyday and getting no response!!! BEWARE BEWARE… Hey My Space Barcelona were are you ethics???

They are friendly but it is scam, place to stay not ok and they do not pay deposit back. Would not book one of their placds.

This is SCAM! We got a good apartment but the depoist of 400euro is nothing we got back yet. They are telling me that they had "problem with suspicious account and stopped with the refunds" Eveything worked fine until now. We visit Barcelona May 4 until May 7th 2023. I am going to report them to E-justice Europa.

I booked an apartment with MY SPACE BARCELONA for the period from 04/05/2023 to 04/11/2023 (booking locator number: 181235) for 2 adults and 2 children. Upon check-in, I was informed that there had been a flood due to a water leak in the apartment and that it would be impossible for me to stay, but since it was already evening, they would let me stay in another apartment, but ONLY FOR 1 NIGHT, as it was already booked for other people who would arrive the next morning. Since I had no other option, I had to accept, but after entering the alternative apartment provided for that 1 night, I immediately noticed that I could not stay there for a single night, as it was not clean and and the beds were on the upper floor with access by a sort of glass staircase with no protection, what would not be safe for my children. I informed the company employee that I would not stay even that 1 night and went with my family to a hotel, returning the keys. After weeks calling and sending emails trying to receive the refund of approximately 2.000 Euros, I only received a refund for the security deposit and part of the tourist tax, leaving aprox. €1,500 pending.
After another two weeks demanding a response about this refund, the company's last response was via a forwarded message by whatsapp with the following text:
"They confirm that he used the service for one day, that given the difficulty in the flat, he was offered an alternative and he did not accept. The money cannot be returned."
The company's allegation is false and unfounded. Firstly the alternative given by the company was for only 1 night and not for the entire period of my reservation (6 nights!). Also, the alternative apartment did not have cleaning nor safety conditions to host my family.
Furthermore, I did not rent a random hotel room, but a specific apartment, with only 1 floor, and I cannot be forced to accept, not even for 1 night, something totally different from what I booked.

I would like to put zero stars but unfortunately I can't. incompetent, dirty and damaged house, untrue photos. if you enter the house and realize the scam you cannot be reimbursed. rude and inattentive staff. they don't reply to messages. I could write a book about my story. do not rent apartments from this agency, I received the deposit after two months of waiting, after numerous calls, numerous emails, numerous threats to report. they kept putting off the refund making absurd excuses. after two months I received less money than the amount given, adding undeclared expenses in the month required by law. they sent me less money without telling me anything about the additional expenses, then justifying them with bills that did not correspond to my rental period. scammers and inefficient. stay away from this scammer

Ok. So we booked what looked to be a lovely apartment for a group of friends coming together for a special occasion - the apartment was ‘Duplex with large terrace near the Sagrada Familia’ through Airbnb. The photos looked lovely, beautiful pool, nice grass and outdoor patio. We asked if there was any way we could check in early. No. Ok. So we were told to meet the rep at 3.15pm to check in. 3.45 they finally arrived. We noticed while waiting there were a lot of workmen in the building… and yes indeed there was VERY loud construction going on in multiple apartments around ours.. this resulted in dust Everywhere, and noise to the point we could hear each other.
Once we walked in the problems continued - dirty floor from dust from the workmen, loose tiles in the kitchen, wobbly staircase, toilet door wouldn’t lock, twin bedrooms TINY - not suitable for adult sharers - hardly any time between the beds! The poor condition continued outside.. dirty patio, the grass around the pool had not been cut in months, completely overgrown and then the pool…. It looked like a swamp! How this company could think this is acceptable is beyond belief! This property is still being advertised with photos of pristine pool… false advertising. Take the listing down until you sort out the issues!
We agreed with the rep to be relocated (by this stage we lost a few hours of our weekend) just so we could get on with our weekend. The building we were relocated to was in a good location, but that’s where it ended. We were in the basement, the building is so badly designed it’s just built to cram as many people into it as possible to make as much money as possible. We could hear everything from the apartment above and next to us, we could see INTO the Apartment below due to the poor design of the internal ‘atrium’. Plugs were halfway up the walls, when plugging in the toaster or coffee machine the cords did not reach the bench! Toilet was running constantly which was another thing to keep us awake. The building was full of party people coming in at all hours, loud drinking games, and you can hear everything. We had no walls at all for privacy for sleeping, bed next to kitchen with no divider. Just a bad design for shattered and for reasonable living.
As we accepted the relocation we were denied any kind of part refund despite the fact that what we stayed in was NOT what we booked.
I have never ever had such a poor experience or stayed in such a bad property. We will never book a My Space property again.

400€ Kaution einbehalten. Obwohl wir noch zum Schluss die Unterkunft extra sauber gemacht haben. Videos sowie 4 Zeugenaussagen sind bereits den Behörden übergeben. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Es gibt kein Fitnesscenter und keinen Gemeinschafts Pool!

To avoid. I rented the apartment P14.1.3 carrer Prats de Mollo, in December 2022.
Described as 70 m2. In fact, it makes 40 maximum.
2nd tiny bedroom.
Very complicated to get the deposit refunded (400€ cashed, it's not a pre-authorization). It took 2 emails, 1 phone call and 1 month to be reimbursed. I think I got lucky.
In view of the other evaluations, I strongly advise against renting from them.

They do not return the deposit!

Unbelievable poor custemer service. Totally overpriced apartment. Beds as hard as rocks. They forgot to put topmatresses on beds that absolutely needed it. Tehy promise a lot on the phone, but do not keep agreements, dont show up, after we waited a full day for them to come and solve the problems. Afterwards they also ignore emails. We rented the apartment for 9 nights, but ended up only spending 3 nights in the apartment. The rest was spent in hotels - that is how poor the apartment was.
My advice: dont use Myspace Barcelona. And if you do: make sure to see the apartment first. It was not clean, beds were horrible and there is absolutely no service (or answers) from Myspace Barcelona. I wish i could share real photos here, not the ones they use...

Likely the worst company I've ever dealt with.
They stole our security deposit by saying that someone was complaining on us making noise, which was not true, they do not care, says that we have to prove it to them, which is impossible (they dont provide any proof of us making noise either...). They hang up the phone or simply dont answer after a while.
Rude and unhelpful staff even before these problems began.

In addition the apartment we rented was pretty worn down compared to images. Beds were back breakingly hard etc.

I'd prefer sleeping on the street over renting from this company again.

My trip was due to be March 17, 2020, and was booked through VRBO. My flights to Barcelona were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and with the quarantine orders in both Spain and the US, it was literally impossible to leave the country. Despite a policy by VRBO enforcing hosts allow for rebooking at the very least, MySpace Barcelona REFUSED my MULTIPLE requests for a rebooking or refund. I still want to give them my money but they REFUSED. Over $1500 lost because of pure GREED for money. I have hired a lawyer and filed every complaint possible in both the US and Barcelona. Do NOT! book with this company. EVER.

We had a great stay with this company and we are actually coming bakc this summer. The apartment was as shown on the pictures and it was clean and tidy. The host was friendly and helpful. It is easy to book apartments directly through their website and they also have useful extra services as transfer.

Do not use this company they are a scam. The polished photos you see are not what you get. The apartment we booked had a pool - which we couldn't find - it was dirty - it had a cupboard under the stairs with a mattress on the floor which was counted as a double room - struggling to get money back even though we could not stay there and had to book a travel lodge. On top of all this they locked my son and his girlfriend in their office when they went to complain and return keys and lots of male staff gathered trying to intiniate them into accepting it. Please avoid!!!

Dirty apartment, many things broken or missing, rude unhelpful staff, stole deposit and had to get credit card company involved. Stay away.

My family and I spent the last week of July 2017 in the lovely neighborhood of Gracia in Barcelona. We live in the U.S.A.

Two days before check-in, I'm informed that I need to stop by My Space Barcelona's office to pick up the keys. When I asked how we were supposed to go from that office to the apartment, I received no responses. We took a cab to the office, but we had no plans to go from the office to the apartment (with a 5-month old baby, 3 luggage of 23 kgs, and a 12-kgs baby portable crib). In Barcelona, there is no number to call a normal cab. You can't just hail a cab in a secondary street on a Sunday. Luckily the care-taker for the apartment helped us carry the bags and we walked 15 min. At the office, they asked me to pay for an increased tourist tax and to pay EUR 400-deposit, which I did, although I was told there was no deposit.

The apartment was clean and functional, we actually had a great stay. Unfortunately, and to my surprise, when I requested a detailed invoice and a refund of my deposit My Space Barcelona could not provide either. I have been calling/emailing them every other day for a month and I am yet to be refunded and received an invoice for the service.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. It's clear to me that I will never use this service again nor recommend it.
