MyLife.com is a Typical SCAM

Utter trash is what makes gains off of implying that someone’s else’s integrity or “reputation” is in question. This is also how you catch a lawsuit which a search about MyLife.com proves.

As if things are fair for independent, honest, and hardworking people. It can be a struggle to survive let alone thrive after a person is wrongly judged then discriminated against.

As countless others have experienced they posted some ticket under my name from 2000 for the appearance that I had a criminal record. This in order to sell paid memberships to the MyLife scam. Hand them over money only so then details would confirm zero criminal record.

Then there’s the fake “connections” which were mostly random people that may have lived on the same street at some point.

They somehow got my cc and were charging 1$ a month. I called and demanded a refund & to abate jacking my hard earned money. I got a confirmation number but I’ll have to follow up to ensure they fully remove my name or likeness as promised.
Slander even if implied can destroy one’s professional life/finances.

The cycle of planting seeds that end up alienating people from their personal and work relationships renders them vulnerable to further hardship and predatory circumstances.

Totally scammy and unethical!!!

This company is extremely sneaky and unethical!!! After doing some searches on their site, without creating an account, they sent me an email thanking for joining their site, even though I never signed up! In this email, they also said that my account has some info about me that is potentially sensitive, and if I want to control this information, I need to upgrade to a premium account.

Since I NEVER created an account, I know this is a complete LIE and they don't have any information about me. However, they think I'm stupid enough to upgrade to a premium account just to be able to control that non-existent "sensitive information".

SHAME ON YOU, LIARS!!!

This website is a BIG SCAM!!!

This website is annoying and a big scam, they showing peoples information and keep sending unsolicited emails to you telling that someone is checking your name on the internet and showing your full name address and phone number on their website, and asking for money to remove the info of you and all the friends and family they have exposed on the web files. A big scam and invasion of privacy, frustrating and annoying!

I'd give 9 stars actually.

They've been taking money from my bank account for their "premium package* which I never signed up for. I signed up for the 999 trial 4 months ago and somehow they Xfinity'd me into this oveelt expensive plan I never agreed too.
The kid on the other end of the phone sounded stones off his ass and couldn't have cared less. Don't ever deal with this snake-in-the grass company.

They claim I have an incarceration and negative public record on their public search....I have NEVER been incarcerated OR have any negative public records. They also relate me with people with my last name that have absolutely nothing to do with me, and I never met in my life.
How on Earth they can legally publish this accusations and allegations?

Scam

Scam! I did the $1, 7 day trial. I cancelled the trial on the second day but I was still charged. I called and a lady on the phone (obviously from another country) said I did in fact cancel my trial but I was charged for an add on. I had no knowledge of an add on and told her I do not authorize the charge. She says “sorry ma’am I can’t refund you” they completely refuse. Any other company will gladly refund you. It’s a scam. After arguing, She said she could partially refund me and I said no. The only way I got her to refund me is when I told her I would just report it to my bank. And hung up. The next day, i noticed the money was returned when I checked my bank app.

STAY AWAY

I wish I'd done my homework before opting for a subscription trial on MyLife.com because there's a current class action lawsuit and for good reason. I signed up for a free trial, then got charged $1.00, then got charged $54.95. I've now read countless reviews of MyLife.com charging more than what their customers signed up for in addition to several people saying their online information on the site is inaccurate. It appears they've been sued before and simply started a new website so that they could start the same scam all over again. The people responsible need to be put out of business for good.

This crap company ONLY gets one star because I have to pick at least one

My statement above is so true, my experience with BBB is they will give this SORRY, Fraudulent company a chance to redeem themselves by typing a few nice comments and saying they took care of it. The problem is I have emailed them three times in the last two weeks to give them ample time to fix the issues and they refuse, so why should they have the chance to fix the issue now? So I signed up for a temporary profile, just like all the other complaints say, the SAME day, on my profile I went and clicked the box for NO REOCCURRING Membership. Of course I screen shot this as I don't trust online sites, glad I did, the next day, there were TWO one dollar charges on my bank account. Most would say what does that matter it is only a dollar, I would reply, you are correct, it is only a dollar. When I company over charges a dollar at the magnitude this company does, they are easily profiting 500 to 1,000 extra dollars a month. This my friends is illegal, this company is luck BBB is so nice because a court of law would see it OH so differently.

So u decide to let the extra dollar slip, because I checked the box right there on my profile NOT to be a reoccurring customer. Holy heck if three days later my bank account does not have 19.95$ pending to My life.com. I am like oh hell NO! I call the toll free number and I get who I can only guess is the some rude butt lady most of the other complaints have spoken with. She tries telling me the same thing I have read in almost ALL of the other billing complaints, you must call to cancel. Being a retired Federal Agent I take a good 10 minutes of my life and talk to her and explain to her how life works, of course the whole time she keeps trying to interrupt me with great things the site does. I explained VERY clearly to her, if your site has a spot to cancel you have to accept that and if you can't track it then have the programming rewritten to remove the box. I clear as day explained my money for 19.95$ and the 1.00$ EXTRA charged would be refunded.

About three days later the 19.95$ was refunded, then I waited two days for the 1.00$. Four days ago I contacted them for the third time via email they had until today, Friday to refund the extra 1.00$ I had told them about on the phone and in two previous emails or I was filing a complaint on any and every site I could find dealing with their company.

Well if you are reading this, guess what, I know a real shocker, MyLife.com has NOT refunded the 1.00$ and they are going to tell BBB they refunded the money in the future and BBB will allow them to clear up this complaint, which is total crap.

I understand companies make mistakes and they should have a chance to redeem themselves, but I have wasted a good hour of my life, ha no pun there, dealing with a dishonest and fraudulent company and I have given them more than a reasonable amount of time and explanation as to what is wrong.

Scammer Jeffrey Tinstley swamps me with…

Scammer Jeffrey Tinstley swamps me with bogus emails telling about my "reputation score" while his reputation score is below a TRASHhold.

I never signed for his "offers " or "notifications". I don't know where he got my email but I think he stole my identity to extort money and wants to steal my credit card information so I plan to proceed accordingly to protect myself from his fraud.

AGs must close his spam hub and criminally charge this serial identity thief.

BBB has numerous complaints against MyLife ; RipOff report has numerous complaints, Courts have complaints like Donnelly v. Jeffrey Tinsley - yet this con artist still operates as usual!

Here is RipOff customer said in 2013: Jeffrey Tinsley is a low life, thief who will pick your pocket if you get close enough to him. He is a common criminal who should be in federal prison with the rest of the white collar criminals who get caught committing financial fraud. I refuse to simply give this useless excuse for a human being $8.00 for nothing. What a way to earn a living - just sit around the house all day in your pajamas collecting $8.00 from millions of people who had nothing to do with your services or products. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General in my state which is run by a hard nosed, extremist republican who has a very low tolerance for this type of behavior. I also need to research which, if any, federal government agency has oversight over Internet fraud and scams, and file a complaint with it as well.

Another RipOff review in 2017 : I have absolutely no respect for Jeffrey Tinsley. He, like many others who make money from the personally identifiable information of millions of ordinary people, obviously does not care about the privacy of anyone.

Another RipOff review in 2019 Mylife is a fraudulant extortion racket. CEO Jeffrey Tinsley is a shyster. The entire mylife.com is a SCAM Los Angeles California

Tinsley’s company was recently involved in a legal skirmish. A complaint was filed against MyLife.com in U.S District Court in 2015 alleging the company’s violation of California’s anti-spam law. Users alleged they had received emails informing them that someone was looking for them, i.e. “a 26 year old Female viewed your public info; a matter and death.” Once they opened the email, they allegedly found that no one was waiting for them, except for advertisements. The case was dismissed after the plaintiff withdrew her claim.

A class action suit in 2011 alleged that MyLife was the latest incarnation of Classmates.com, which was accused of using deceptive emails and fraudulent billing practices. The lawsuit was dismissed later that year, on the heels of Classmates.com agreeing to pay out more than $9.5 million in a class action settlement for false advertising, according to court document

Who is con man Jeff Tinsley, Jeff Hamilton who runs MyLife.com scam? Credit card theft, lawsuits, false advertising, criminal, spam.

More reviews:This company is a total scam. The emails you receive from this company will scan your address/contacts list and send emails to them. In effect, this site uses a virus technique to proprogate the email spam. When you call them, no one anwers the phone. BBB and FBI should be aware of this company.

Asked twice for profile removal and bad customer service

I called a couple of months back and asked for my profile to be deleted. Fast-forward to today and I get an email from mylife.com telling me to increase my reputation rating. I called and talked to an agent who, after verifying me, said she deleted my program. She then gave me a confirmation number. I asked her to send me an email with the confirmation. Never got the confirmation email. Called back an hour later. Agent says they don't send out emails and there is no manager available and I would have to wait 1 to 2 hours to hear back from someone. He needs to be flat out fired!

I called back until I finally got a manager, which is something I should not have had to do!

they are a scam and will steal your money.

If there was a way to put a negative number I would. They only let you go as low as 1. I ordered the 1.00 trial service and they ended up charging an additional 72.40. I called them and they said I did too many searches. No I’m sorry no let me refund you. The person on the phone couldn’t careless. Don’t use them they will rip you off. I’m going to my bank on Monday and deny the charges. I’m just glad I watch my bank account. Who knows how much they will or would have tried to charge me.
