Absolute joke of a company and Barry is ,rude and obnoxious
Arranged a viewing on a property for 6.45 pm ,he called an hour before to push back to 7 which i agreed to ,arrived early and waited to get a call at 7.10 asking quite aggressively where I eas and told him outside to which he barked back "WHERE !"
went and chapped the door to be great by a scared looking child and no Barry ,phone goes again and he is at the wrong address ,when questioned what was going on he replied aggressively "these things happen "
Was absolutely mortified and walked away from the door
Never heard from him since, what a way to run a business
God help anyone selling with this company and rude man

No doubt I will get some bull response going by his other reviews, I wait with baited breath !

Barry and Holly provided an excellent service, with the property fetching well over its asking price and home report value within less than a week of going on sale. They went the extra mile in terms of handling views and assisting with the handover of keys at exchange. Highly recommended,

From the start we had issues and although always resolved it became a headache. When we chased up to see if they would be doing an inspection on our property i received very blunt emails from Barry and then said we should find another agent. Reading other reviews it appears his aggression is well known and documented in the press. We never took anything further with regulators but can see no end of 5 star reviews on Google have suddenly appeared !!

I had cause to deal with M&Q Estate Agents & Lettings recently in relation to an issue affecting our building, and I wanted to commend them for the way they handled it.

Their communication throughout was clear, professional and responsive, and they took the matter seriously from the outset. I also appreciated the fact that they acted swiftly and kept me informed as matters progressed.

It was reassuring to deal with an agency that was approachable, proactive and willing to take appropriate action when needed. I would like to thank them for their professionalism and the way they managed the situation.

Barry, the director of MQ is “hands on”in his business.He carries out all viewings himself, giving reassurance to the customer that this isn’t a “has been”Estate Agency living on past performances, like so many out there. C’mon, the DIRECTOR carries out the viewings, (not his staff), so he’s close at hand should he be needed. This isn’t the first time Barry has represented me, I like his energy, his confidence and commitment as if he was buying or selling his own home. Very easy to deal with, phone him any time and he will answer, trust me from experience. Anytime. A fantastic negotiator, negotiated £35k over the asking price when I was happy with a further 20k. MQ also have some fantastic deals on selling property, saving on average £1,500 compared to the other estate agents. I was happy with that. Also offered virtual tour of the townhouse, drone pictures from an arial vantage point which looked stunning in the schedule. Holly, who runs MQ office, is flawless. Always on the ball, regular updates, fantastic communication skills and all credit is hers for drafting the schedules and meticulously preparing descriptions of same. I’ve bought and sold a few properties with various Estate agents however this MQ Team works hand in glove, as I now use only MQ. Such fantastic, focussed and dedicated individuals. Please don’t make the mistake of going with the “has been” Estate Agents. Too many hidden charges!!! Give this outfit a call…what have you got to lose. If there were 6 stars, that’s what I’d submit.

I dealt with M Q Estate Agents and Barry Chuwen & I was extremely disappointed. From the start, his approach raised serious red flags.
Despite repeated requests, I never received a legal home report or EPC, viewed the property despite this. After the viewing they still refused to send them. Communication was rude, and several statements were false. I was asked to pay far more than the advertised price and I genuinely felt I could have lost a lot of money. The whole experience felt dishonest and unsettling. I strongly caution anyone considering this agency.

Don't use honestly

Completely incompetent when arranging viewings. We had an appointment to view a property an hours drive from where we were staying. 10 minutes before the appointment we received a call to make the meeting 30 minutes later. At the agreed time we arrived at the property but noone was there. Waited another 10 minutes then phoned to see what was happening. Told it would be at least another 20 minutes. So the agent was over an hour late. Due to the delay we had to cancel 2 further viewings!

Completely useless ! Don't waste your time trying to buy or rent from this company. Totally disorganised and no regard for their clients

From the first day Barry arrived at our home, there was only going to be one estate agent for us (MQ estate agents)
Nothing was too much for him in helping us. Them there’s Holly (in office) called us almost every day to keep us up to date on what was happening.
If you’re looking to sell your property, then look no further. Truly OUTSTANDING!!!

They are not worth 1 Star. We paid them £2,900 in advance, after being assured of our money back by Barry Chuwen. It has never materialised, he kept our cash. No phone answered on his mobile or his side-kick Holly. We are 2 pensioners and they have stolen almost £3,000. Please be very careful. Hes a crook as far as I'm concerned. I hope he reads these reviews and returns the cash.

Gangster behavior - intimidation . They drive up to the house - banging on the door, taking pictures . They frightened the family including the children . Reported to Glasgow Police .

I wish I could leave a 0 star for this rubbish company. DO NOT USE MQ AS YOUR AGENCY COMPANY.
When you have a interest to sell your house, they will pretend they are very helpful and nice, they also keep mentioning about they are opening for 7 days so it's their advantage compare to other company and with all the strong word to convince you to choose them to represent you.
BUT I have been waiting for my money back for over half year, no matter I call, text or email, as long as it's not something they can gain profit, they will treat you like nothing.
Seriously there are so much choices, Do Not Use MQ!

We can't recommend MQ Estate Agents highly enough. From the first visit until the sale was concluded, they were truly fantastic. Barry was our main point of contact from start to finish, he was always available. When there were a few issues, he and the team were always there to help out. Selling a house can be a stressful time but Barry's calm and professional attitude helped us incredibly and he often went above and beyond to help us. We would like to thank Barry, Holly and the team for their hard work. If you are looking for a reliable Estate agent we definitely recommend MQ
