Mizzen have done a variety of plumbing and building work for us and have been friendly, reliable and professional and have done the work required to a high standard.

Ryan was punctual, professional and scrupulously tidy throughout the job. They were communicating throughout the process including regular updates on the day. Certainly going to use again and couldn't recommend more

They went out of their way to find someone to come to sort out the problem with my boiler on the same day that I called to see if they could help. The problem was sorted out which was great. I've used Mizzen before and I'll definitely continue to do so.

The running of the company is very systematic and the use of WhatsApp gives customers convenience and responses were quick and arrangements for visits were fast too. The technicians sent over to attend the issues were professional and appropriate. Moreover, they were polite, punctual and explained things with patience.The transparency of service charges was also a credit to the company and the charges are reasonably priced. After visits, they always provide a report for the completed service, which I regard it a very good practice. So when I come up with problems in my house, I always think of Mizzen. I have also made recommendations to my friends and neighbours. Keep it up.

We had a burst pipe in the bathroom and Mizzen construction were able to do a video call straight away and helped us identify where to shut off the water. The next day they sent out a plumber to change the pipe and all is well now. Very seamless, neat and tidy work.

A comprehensive reprogramming of the boiler timer

Mizzen installed a new boiler and 10 new radiators - they made a very good job and no damage to any decorations - the engineers were all very polite and professional and left everything very clean and tidy - thank you - very impressed with the work

I really wanted to have a great experience with Mizzen and leave a strong review, given the many positive ones. Unfortunately, my experience was mixed.

I asked for a quote on 3 items:
- shower installation
- tap installation
- investigation of toilet issues

Sent photos, received a quote, agreed, paid the deposit.

The engineer showed on time, did a good installation and then did a poor silicone job around the basin: inaccurate, seams unsealed, cracked. He did not neglect this job completely, but the result looked unprofessional.
Investigation was effectively not carried out: he spent 1 minute on it, no questions asked, no stack inspection, no reasoning about the system, venting, etc. He said: "I don't know, I'll ask fellow engineers". Never did, as far as I'm aware. When I suggested an idea, he decided it's the right one. The problem is not that he arrived at incorrect resolution, but that no proper process of investigation took place.

After the visit we were discussing this situation with Charlie.
His initial position was that investigation did happen, basin removal, its reinstallation and silicone cover was not part of the original quote. He suggested they come for silicone fix, but the investigation item should stay.
Later, the investigation charge was removed, but there was a proposal to charge additionally for basin removal, waste replacement, and silicone work, more than doubling the original tap installation quote, despite this not being agreed in advance or communicated during the visit.

I feel they didn't put enough attention to quoting, faced  the job turned out to be more complex than initially expected, never mentioned during the visit the fact that they had to do the additional work and may be were not prepared for it and then tried to charge for it retroactively.
They did good work on installation. Tap and shower work. Silicone needs full reapplication. Investigation process was not carried out.

From this experience, it seems that outcomes may depend on the engineer assigned. I believe they are a capable and professional team, but it would be helpful if scope and potential additional costs were clarified more clearly upfront, and if finishing details (such as silicone) and diagnostic work received more attention.

Job done, no fuss, that's all I want!

Exceptional service. Emergency call out when my boiler went and was replaced and fitted in good time. Would recommend.

I needed a tap replacing on the kitchen sink. Engineer was very courteous, explained what he had to do and tidied up afterwards. All in all, a very pleasant experience and would definitely use them again!

£7,000 spent, and after only two months everything is leaking.
The company refuses to send anyone to fix the issues.
They even emailed me saying they don’t understand why I left a negative review.

Replaced my 'megaflow' type system with a combi boiler and converted the tank cupboard into an airing cupboard. Replaced a radiator and shower too. These guys are great. Very courteous and explain at every stage. Would definitely recommend.
