We have two Miriders and this new battery with a few hard pushes JUST fitted in the wife’s but thought I would break the handle pulling it out and resistance so bad on my bike was not willing to force it in and then not been able to pull it out!! The wife’s original and my knackered one always interchanged easily with no problems so diameters must have changed on the new ones! We had a video call scheduled but due to a poorly close relative we cancelled it! Think Adam was who we have chatted too!

Can’t make 45 miles on one charge. It’s even hard to make when you have 2 batteries. Im about 80kg and ride almost all time on road without steep hills.

There are a few handy tips to try to get more range out of your MiRiDER that we would like to share with you;
• Check the pressure is in your tyres (PSI, pounds per square inch)
• How often is the throttle override being used
• Reduce the hills on the route, if at all possible
• Consider the terrain are you cycling on (tarmac, gravel, mud etc)
• Keep the luggage below the maximum limit
• Be mindful power level is it being cycled on 1 is the most economical
• Be aware that frequent thumb throttle being used can reduce battery
• Level of effort put through the pedals by the rider - less effort means the bike works harder
• Cold weather can have an effect on all batteries
The voltage information on your screen should also be used to give an even more accurate display of how much power is left. 42v shows that your battery is fully charged and 32v shows that it’s empty. One bar out of four doesn’t suggest that 25% of battery has been used. This is for a quick reference to see how much battery is left without scrolling to the VOL page at a glance.

This is to supplement the existing pack. I live in a hilly area. On the flat I can get between 25 to 30 miles unless there is a strong wind, However many of my rides have up to1000' of climbing so mileage reduces to around 15-18 miles. As Ilike hills and prefer to cover 20+ mile the extra pack is a godsend. Incidentally MiRider is good on hills (but the steepest require you to lean forwards to prevent the front wheel rising such as coming out of the Manifold Vally toward Wetton, double arrows on an OS map. My previous bike was a full mountain bike (age now stops me using it hence the MiRider for easy transport) and the two batteries give a similar range/power of my old 500watt battery on that machine. It charges easily and safely but the handle is a little weak and broke off on my original battery but it does not affect usage.

It's expensive, but it's a useful option for me to have a replacement fully charged battery. Apart from that, it is what it is!
Overpriced for my liking and no competition on price either. Its apparently a decent battery
