Vicky went the extra mile
Vicky, at the Newark store, couldn't have been more helpful. She spent time with us ensuring we not only got the right tent and equipment, but also useful tips and advice while camping. The tent we bought was cheaper than anywhere on the internet. Well recommend

Another great visit
Went in newark store to look at buying a new tent, all the staff were pleasant and cheerful. I go in regularly to see what bargains there are and buy mostly camping equipment. This visit I saw some great waterproof gear which caught my eye and wouldn't have seen it if the staff hadn't helped me. Thanks for great customer service.

Very fair exchange
I foolishly bought the wrong size of walking trousers in Millets, Newark shop. I phoned to explain what I had done. Silvia and Vicky were so very helpful - I cannot praise them enough. I shall definitely buy my walking gear from them in future. Highly recommended.

Very good overall shopping experience
We visited the Newark store and was served by Sandra and Vicky. They were most friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in finding what we wanted. Will definitely return to the store in future.

Waste of time and money
Visited a local store. Wanted to try on boots but they had no shoe horn. Tried on anyway but hurt feet in the process. Bought six items totally over £100. However, two fleeces do not wick and are not at all warm, so a waste of money. And when using a pair of spats on a walk for the first time, they caught against each other with every step, which was dangerous and would quickly wear them out so also useless. Also was overcharged as assistant said there was a three for two offer on socks but we got charged for three. So wasted about £80!
Update on 22/6 23 - after much delay Millets agreed to refund for some items but have avoided refunding by various delaying tactics. Still no refund. Star rating now minus 3!

Walking Boots
When into Millets at Newark yesterday looking at walking boots. The assistant Sandra couldn’t have been more helpful or patient as I felt I tried nearly every pair in the shop on! Also pointed out that as a National Trust member you get 15% extra off, bonus! Cheaper than same boots on line. Fit is fantastic, worn for the first time this morning, thank you to the Newark store for making my experience a pleasant one.
