BEWARE THEY ARE NOT A HOSPITAL. Dogs are alone all night and you are not aware.

I have a standard poodle.
On this Monday January 27, 2025, I noticed he could not urinate and took him approximately at 3:00 pm to the veterinary near my house, the Animal Clinic of Miami Dade.

They suggested he had something not letting him urinate. They did full blood, 4 part X-ray, a chem17 test, a fecal test, blood sample. 1380$ after I got all the results.

Soon after the results showed he had a full bladder of stones and the urethra had sand particles.

They sent me directly to their group hospital ( not a hospital), to have an urgent surgery and remove stones.
I will attach all X-rays and info, the same company did not know that Miami Springs Animal Hospital was not a real overnight staffed hospital either.

I take the dog immediately to Miami Springs Animal Hospital and the nightmare begins.

The arrival was fine they had all the X-rays and said they would put antibiotics overnight and have surgery in the morning.

The next day, January 28, 2025, they said they had to shave him as I had already requested.

Once they shaved him they started sending me pictures that he had a huge mass in the abdomen and they needed to check once the Dr. went in to have her take care of it via text.

During surgery, they texted me that since he was sedated they wanted to do a CAT scan on the mass. I saw the mass and I am not a Doctor, so it could be a picture of anything. They called me to see if I would agree to pay for the CAT scan, they were just going to close him and not remove because nobody could read the CAT scan.

In addition, they could not remove it at all because it could be attached to another organ. No reason to pay 1350$

After the surgery, I went to the hospital to see what was going on and the dog was okay, he urinated on the table without a catheter and was droggy.

I was told that overnight they would give him meds and painkillers, anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, liquids, and a catheter.

I was told to pick him up on Wednesday January 29, 2025, at 15:30.

Right before I left they called and said, he urinated in the morning and did not urinate throughout the day. They said they needed to insert another catheter and keep for 3 more nights of 24-nurse care.

The Vet asked that I pay for 3 nights of extra overnight for 300$ and nursing care, so I did, via text.

Thursday, January 30, 2025, morning I was informed that the dog did not urinate throughout the night by the Office Manager, Nancy,

I was then transferred to a different Dr. to explain why was he held to see why he could not urinate and yet his urine was not collected.

The Dr said he had just arrived and just inserted the catheter and a new fluid bag, to give him some time.

Dr. then changed his story of why he did not he not urinate, they changed the response, to it was either pulled out overnight or it was not inserted properly or inserted at all, still not telling me nobody is telling me no staff overnight.

I drive to see the dog and get more clarification of what type of circus are they running.

The dog stood up when he saw us. He was getting excited so I was afraid the catheter would fall off.

The new Doctor said the mass was not a mass at all. The doctor said it was a body part that didn't interfere with his being able to urinate.
This Dr. contradicted his other Doctor 🙄

Dr. felt he was swollen and needed some time for the swelling to go down. The catheter was now attached with hooks so it would not fall out again.

On this day, the Dr. tells me you do understand that we have no overnight staff this is not a hospital 😳.
They consider camera 24 he monitoring. “If something happens they will not go at 3:00 am”.

Dr. stated if I want 24 hr monitoring I should take him to an animal hospital, then they rushed for me to sign the waiver that stated they only monitor by camera. I refused to sign and arranged to take him to a hospital the next day, at this point, it was too late in the day.

Throughout the days I had numerous conversations with staff and the Office Manager telling me the opposite of what the Dr. had told her to tell me.

I should have taken the dog out that day and taken him to MVS hospital.

Once I left MSAH, I contacted a real hospital with overnight human beings a real hospital to make arrangements for my dog's arrival the next day.

On Friday, January 31, I called to get a status and I was asked to call back because they are cleaning the mess my dog did and could not give me an update.
I called back and asked them to prepare him and all documents to be transferred to MVS hospital in two hours.
I arrived and it smelled horrible inside where dog were kept.
Nothing was ready.
It was a huge ordeal to get dog released and since I refused to sign docs they removed his IV port.

Once I arrived at hospital, the dog urinated normally over and over 🙏 the Dr.there said mass was actually his bladder 😳. That he was in perfect shape and could go home. REAL PROFESSIONALS!! MSAH are thieves, EMOTIONALLY abusive.
