What a guy..it's like a super power - and he can shore rattle those keys! Don't know what he's paid but I'm shore he deserves more. Think someone called him Darren

All our items are exactly what we ordered, customer services in the Cambridge branch are great, but special shout out to Dave our delivery driver who is so nice, friendly, helpful, and always very cheerful and goes above and beyond with making sure we get our delivery's on time. He even calls us if we have popped out the office.

Great customer service

Great customer service. The team at Gants Hill worked above and beyond on my entire house project including custom ordered lights made to measure for all my rooms.
Graham was outstanding with providing guidance and support throughout the order and ensuring all deliveries were made on time and also helped with ensuring all lights were in perfect condition.
I would highly recommend Medlock Lighting for all household lights.

Where's my refund?

Having checked on their website for the product I required, I purchased three lights. Upon receipt, they were a different model to what was shown on their website, which was not what I required. They informed me that the item was a direct replacement for what I had requested, however, there was a specific reason I required the previous generation model.
I returned the items by recorded/signed delivery, and the items were received on the 13th October. It is now the 30th October and despite multiple emails, they still have not refunded me, and appear to be ignoring my emails.
I am now chasing them daily for my refund.

Note: The website for these people appears to be lightplan.co.uk, but correspondence comes from Medlocks.

Kevin, we're sorry for the delayed response to your review, and even more sorry for the experience you had. A refund taking that long after confirmed receipt of returned goods is not acceptable, and the lack of response to your emails fell well below the standard we hold ourselves to. No product, after three weeks of waiting

After three weeks of waiting, 2 emails, 3 telephones, still no light switch. Finally spoke to someone who couldn't explain why my order was delay and not sent.

Not the best experience.

Then offer a refund which we took.

I came into the shop in Romford a few…

I came into the shop in Romford a few times the other week and I have to say that the people in this store are great. The young chap with auburn hair that served me was amazing. He was very helpful, courteous and didn't seem at all bothered by my ineptitude when it comes to this sort of thing which is rare these days with many people forgetting what patience is. Not just helpful but also friendly and lovely to chat to.

Don't bother shopping here.

Don't bother, I feel they have limited stock and if the item you order is not available they just hope you go away.

I ordered a Ring external siren on the 29th Dec and received notification of my order, I chased this up on the 9th and today (10th) Jan with no response, I got no other notifications after ordering other than the initial "We have received your order" email, the product has now disappeared from their website (you can see it via search, but cannot click the item link).

Have submitted a claim against Medlock, save your time and money and shop elsewhere.

Fantastic customer service

Fantastic customer service. I recently contacted Medlock trying to purchase a lamp globe for some lights we purchased over 2 years ago.
The light fittings are now discontinued but Paul contacted me a couple of days later to advise me that the Henley branch had a complete light fitting which I purchased.
Henley picked the wrong light but Paul visited the Henley branch soon afterwards and collected the correct light on our behalf.
A lot of electrical shops would have just said the lights were discontinued end of story.
Paul and the team went over and above what I expected.
Will certainly return.

I recently purchased a storage heater…

I recently purchased a storage heater from Onlie Medlock's website. I returned the heater within 10 days, unused and in a damaged box. However, Medlock denied my refund request after 5 days. I am very disappointed with Medlock's customer service.I would say- DO NOT buy any products from Medlock.

Waltham cross - helpful member of staff

I went into the Waltham cross branch and found the young lady behind the trade counter to be very helpful. Her knowledge of the stock was very good

Very poor company

Very poor company. Ordered online . Missing two items! Tried emailing. ringing and also Facebook with no joy what so ever so. £30 out of pocket by the time I buy items which they never sent !

Useless

I have emailed their sales team as I expected the price difference to be refunded, I have had no reply. I strongly recommend you think about using this wholesalers.

In our defence we were short-staffed due to the holiday period, we were waiting for the warehouse to confirm the picking error but it really should not have taken this long.

Bought for two heaters for my Scout…

Bought for two heaters for my Scout group had to pay by cheque. After a number of emails to check if it had cleared the response was they hadn't received it only to discover it had been cashed for some time I had to then chase the item to be dispatched. I then found they had sent it to the wrong address dispute emailing it and having it taken again over the phone and The remotes listed on website was missing and I had incorrect invoice provided.This is the only time I have posted a neg review but the time spent trying to sort out repeated mistakes frustrated me so much I feel the need to as I am still waiting for this to be resolved.Summary if you can buy elsewhere I would go there to save your sanity.

Expensive and poor customer service

I bought some lighting from Medlocks in Henley-on-Thames and subsequently found they had charged me 50% more than identical items I could get from the Internet. I do not mind paying a small premium for a retail store with good customer service but this is ridiculous. On returning the items less than 24 hours later I was told I would have to pay a restocking charge of 20-30%! To the sales assistants credit he did eventually waive the fee and refund the goods. But this type of service is unacceptable for a store already charging outrageous prices. In today's tough retail environment customer service and good value are paramount. I will not be going back... a pity as this was my first visit and an opportunity to secure a customer

Difficult for me to comment especially not knowing the complete story on the specific products..etc and given the time frame. What i can say is this, Lighting prices can fluctuate and online competition is especially rigorous against a bricks and mortar business. We strive to provide the very best prices and the very best service and it appears on this occasion we have let you down and on both of these points. This certainly isn't normal service from Medlocks Henley and we really do take pride in our customer service our business has grown based on these foundations over the last few years.
