Very efficient and reliable service and the item was very much appreciated. Everything you would expect form a highly regarded auctioneers.

Being a novice to the Auction world and submitting items with certain sentimental value was quite a daunting task, but the calm professional approach taken by McTears ensured that I was clear about the process and had the greatest confidence in them. This was not only very helpful and comforting but also confirmed my commitment to recommend them and certainly approach them again should our need arise.

Professional service from start to finish.

Great cafe , good viewing area , well spaced out auction room , would have given 5 , but hammer percentage too high.

This was my first attempt as a private individual, at buying at auction and naturally had considerable concerns. The staff were very reassuring and very quickly allayed my fears. I was guided through the whole process with ease and I'm very happy to say that I was successful with my bid. The only problem was delivery by Parcel Force who cannot be recommended for delivery. However, this is no reflection on McTears or their staff for their outstanding service! Thank you.

McTears is a trusted and reliable source of information and expert advice.
They also know what customer service/care is all about, from my experience, when a buyer let the side down, McTears offered a solution that resolved the problem for me at a later sale.
Recent events regarding COVid-19 restrictions have also been managed well, and customers can deliver /collect items/lots and attend auctions with confidence.
Fees are a wee bit on the high side though...but a professional service is guaranteed.

Though lock down had just started, McTears took our good just before things closed down, kept us informed, sold the goods for more than expected and settled by cheque really promptly. An efficient company. Would use again.

Excellent and personal attention when I took items in from an estate clearance. The estimates given were very accurate, as it turned out, despite lockdown intervening in proceedings for a while.

Online is even easier than attending the auction, and whilst the "hands-on" examination is not possible, the pictures and descriptions are good. For larger objects additional picture detail would help
