McGregor MacLeod Solicitors Recensioni

Have had to edit my review as the company have threatened me with a Notice of Intended Action for Defamation and Malicious Publication for simply telling the truth (probably the quickest email they've ever sent me).

Dealt with MM when purchasing my property. Everything was done at the last minute and could never get hold of them by phone either. Sometimes took a week to reply to emails.

Had some issues with the flat after move in which still hasn't been dealt with. There was no balcony door key, I had to personally contact the seller for this. The flat was also advertised with a dishwasher but there wasn't one, tried to claim for this but no luck. Think the company should take on board feedback instead of arguing with reviews and threatening legal action.

The company previous replied to my review calling me fake, a malicious coward and a keyboard warrior, saying I should be ashamed of myself for simply giving my honest opinion?

Gurpreet Walley was amazing. We won't get through that sale if it wasn't for her. We had corrective convincing issue in our chain. If it wasn't her chasing, communicating and doing what is the best for us. We will be still their waiting for updates etc. Thanks so much for all your hard work. I would recommend Gurpreet for anyone she will do what you ask for, in most effective way.

Gurpreet Walley was one of the best solicitors I have ever had. We encountered significant issues with the sale of our property due to issues further down in the chain, but Gurpreet was extremely proactive in chasing these matters. She has excellent communication skill and extremely efficient. Thank you so much for your efforts, in what was an extremely stressful time for us. We really appreciate it.

I needed to obtain a copy of the deeds to my flat due to a potential dispute. I contacted McGregor Macleod through their website as they had done the conveyancing when I purchased the flat in 2020.

I received a response from Graeme almost immediately, asking for further details in order to identify the document. He dealt with my enquiry very efficiently and courteously, and emailed a copy of the document the next working day. No payment was required.

Both during this enquiry and the original conveyancing McGregor Macleod have been very efficient and courteous, and have provided excellent value for money.

Extremely smooth and easy conveyancing for sale of property. Delighted with Donna in particular! Good value provided.

Kirstie was helpful and communicative and adapted to my needs as they changed - thank you for all your help.

Kirstie handled the conveyancing process for us, for both the sale and purchase of property. We found her to be friendly and efficient with good comms. We appreciated being able to do everything remotely. We found the pricing to be fair. Overall, we would use this company again and much preferred them to the larger, slightly schmoozy, firm we used previously. Good value, good service.

I used McGregor Macleod to sell and buy my new property earlier in January. I found the service great, communication was good and very reasonable costs. Robyn Taylor was very efficient and got everything sorted quickly for me for the sale and purchase to go through smoothly on the same day. Thanks again

My solicitor at MM was Kirstie and her efficiency and prompt responses helped make my flat purchase as smooth and as fast as possible. As it was empty and there was no chain etc I got the keys in 5 weeks including 2 bank holidays. This was especially appreciated as I'd been searching a while. Kirstie always kept me updated and was courteous and professional. I highly recommend her and McGregor MacLeod, their conveyancing service was topnotch.

Kirstie was amazing. She managed to get a very difficult purchase over the line when there were delays with the English sale. She managed to get the whole thing done in a matter of a couple of days. Would highly recommend her services

I have dealt with McGregor MacLeod solicitors several times in the past years, in particular with Sharon Gray. She has been in impeccable in her work on my behalf and is extremely professional. She kept me fully updated throughout the process of the property sale and made the whole process easy. I would highly recommend McGregor MacLeod and will definitely use them again.

We decided to use Mcgregor Macleod for our move from Shrewsbury to Scotland. What we thought was going to be a fairly easy process turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. The previous owners of our home had failed to gain a completion certificate for change of use from Care home to residential home as well as major changes to the kitchen dining area. McGregor MacLeod recommended a 25K retention in order to allow the previous owners 6 months to rectify the works. They failed in this and the retention fell back to us to put the work right. Had McGregor MacLeod not recommended the 25K we could have found ourselves in a bit of a pickle. In the end we rectified the work for around 8.5K and the previous owners got some money back.

I'd just like to mention Marie Bryson. She sometimes can be hard to get hold of but when she says she's going to deal with it she truly does. Thank you McGregor MacLeod and in particular Marie, you saved us a real headache and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to friends and family.

Absolutely fantastic team, skilled and knowledgeable

Kirstie was great from start to finish and I’m very happy with the work done on this.

I moved at the end of September and the service was efficient enough but I ended up being charged almost £500 more than the original quote. I think that the welcome email is very misleading in stating 'The fee may vary if there is a difficulty with the title of the property you are selling or buying but we try to adhere to this fee as closely as possible.'

It was a straightforward sale with no issues around title deed, no help to buy scheme, no gifted deposit etc.

When I queried why the final bill was so much more (£1396.20 when I was quoted £916.20) I was told the senior partners set the fee rate and given no further information about how to complain, hence writing a review on here.

I note the response below, which really outlines my point. It wasn’t clear that these standard costs were not included in the quote. My feedback is still that your initial communication is misleading.

I cannot recommend macgregor macleod enough. We initially dealt with Jaspreet lidder and then Marie Bryson to complete our transaction. The level of professionalism and Competance they brought made the whole process very straightforward from start to finish, whilst also being very personable in their communications.
Simply put I will not be using any other solicitors in the future.

I used them for the conveyancing of the sale of our house in Scotland. The whole experience was totally seamless from start to finish. All done for us with zero stress. An estimated quotation was given before starting which , on completion , was actually less. Great value in comparison with your average Solictor ,with exceptionally professional service and much faster.
Sharon was wonderful, friendly and professional. She was always available for a personal chat as needed. She communicated every step and progress.
Could not have been better.

I had Kirstie as my solicitor for my sale and purchase and she did a great job for both. There were some problems with the seller of my onwards purchase but Kirstie was very diligent and on the ball chasing them up to try and keep the sale moving forward. Everything was done remotely over emails and the phone which was perfect. Their fees are very fair and transparent, so no need to worry about any hidden costs lurking. I couldn't recommend them enough and would use them again if I need any further legal services.

Couldnt recomend kirstie at mcgregor macleod any higher...pleasure to deal with a real 🌟.

Fantastic company and an excellent service from start to finish⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the second time i have used McGegor McLeod for conveyancing

First time round in 2020 i used Sharon Gray for the purchase of my first home.

Its because of the great initial service received, i decided to use McGegor McLeod for a second time. This time Margaret Scott dealt with the conveyancing for both my sale and purchase

I wouldn’t use anyone else and since 2020 i have recommended McGegor McLeod to several friends, family and colleagues who have all commented on how happy they were with the service. They are also very reasonably priced compared to other conveyancing solicitors, which is a bonus

Can’t forget Verra too….she answered all my initial queries very quickly and was always a delight to exchange communications with
