I had an excellent experience working with Ryan M.from Martin and Co in Aberdeen as a property agent. From the beginning he was professional and knowledgeable. I could also tell he was genuinely commited to help me find the right property. He was very informative throughout the entire process, quick to respond and everything seemed incredibly smooth and stress-free.
Renting a flat is a pleasure, sometimes difficult to get thru to them but overall 4*
2 years ago I was a new landlord and while the tenant was paying her rent and there were no problems everything was fine. However, as with all companies, it is how they serve you when things are not going smoothly that shows their real competence, or incompetence. During the last year I have had about 6 new people handling my account so no continuity at all. A flood caused by my tenant’s son was handled badly with poor communication. I ended up having to manage the whole incident. Recently, several months rent were unpaid without me being advised and with no visit to the tenant until I suggested they do so. The final straw was the tenant leaving the property with £2,500 repairs, owing 3 months rent and leaving old mattresses and furniture which I had no idea about until after the event. Martin and Co did not even request the deposit refund until I advised they had not done it. I would suggest saving yourself the 12% fee and managing your rental property yourself. I only give 1 star because none is not possible.
Bought a property through Martin&Co recently. Joel Ross was very professional, friendly and welcoming. Joel worked tirelessly to help me; he was enthusiastic, polite and patient. Nothing was too much trouble. I would 100% recommend Martin &Co -Aberdeen and look forward to using them again in the future.
I have engaged with Martin & Co in relation to a letting issue, and they have been excellent so far in helping me decide what to do. Heather Innes in particular is just terrific, customer service of highest quality and always empathetic and helpful.
