Manchester Cat Clinic have been outstanding. I'm delighted to find an independent clinic so close to my home!

Every member of the team is calm, gentle and genuinely cat‑centred, and the level of care they provide is exceptional. They take the time to explain everything clearly, never rush you, and always make sure your cat feels safe and supported.

The clinic itself is peaceful and beautifully run — you can tell immediately that this is a place designed around feline wellbeing. I’ve felt completely confident in their advice and treatment, and I’m so grateful for the kindness they’ve shown throughout.

It’s rare to find a veterinary team who combine such clinical expertise with such compassion. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I took my cat to three different vet surgeries and not one could find out what was wrong with him. All I can say is Manchester cat clinic are amazing and the best in the north of England , through care and management my cat is now fully recovered. The care and attention was incredible with Eloise phoning me every evening enquiring how he was. They go beyond expectation.and I have high ones !!

I rang Manchester Cat Clinic to book a consultation for my cat, the receptionist insisted I book an extended appointment which was £20 more. I agreed, meaning my appointment was 30 minutes which cost £75 instead of 20 minutes which costs £55. At the time of booking I also decided to schedule a SEPARATE appointment AFTER the 30 minute consultation, just to have my cats claws trimmed, the price for this is £15. Feeling a little suspicious I made it crystal clear to the receptionist that I expected a full 30 minutes consultation for the £75 paid and that the appointment for the claw trim should not be squeezed into that consultation time. I was reassured that this would definitely not happen.

Well call me cynical but I had good reason to be.

I attended for the extended 30 minute consultation, the vet went through my cats health with me. My partner noted she repeated herself a few times. At one point she was on the computer looking up the brand of food Im feeding my cat and said she would research the ingredients for me and report her findings back to me (she never did).

As predicted, exactly 20 minutes into my consultation she said she "might as well cut the cats claws right now". This took approximately 10 minutes. The consultation was only 20 minutes long (not the 30 minutes paid for) and the claw trim was 10 minutes long.

So basically I had a 20 minute consultation which should cost £55 and 10 minutes trimming my cats claws costing £15 which should equal £75.00.

But what I got was CHARGED for and did not get, was a 30 minute consultation costing £75.00 and a claw trim costing £15.00. All squeezed into 30 minutes. I paid £90.00.

IF vets put a timescale on consultations they really should honor it!

£20 minutes = £55
£30 minutes = £75
(That means 20 minutes verbal consult shouldn't be charged at £75).

I addressed this with the receptionist when paying and she just said, "It would've worked out the same price", and she kept repeating this as I made a half hearted attempt to explain the verbal consultation time given did not equal what I was paying for.

So it turns out I didnt need a 30 minute consultation, but was forced to have one.

Because of this lack of transparency ive decided to take my cat for his operation elsewhere. I dont trust that I will be charged in line with what ive paid for.

My Cat Had to Endure Two Surgeries Due to an Incomplete Spay!!

I had Dobby spayed at Manchester Cat Clinic in December. After the surgery, the veterinarian informed me that Dobby only had one ovary and that the other could not be found. I accepted this explanation at the time.

However, starting from January, Dobby began showing clear signs of being in heat. I contacted the clinic again, and the veterinarian asked me to pay £200 for a blood test to check whether another ovary is still present. If the test confirms that there is another ovary, I would then need to pay an additional £230 for a larger surgery to remove it.

I explained to the clinic that I believe a reasonable approach would be for the clinic to cover the cost of the blood test. If it turns out that Dobby truly has only one ovary, I am willing to pay the cost, as that would mean I was wrong to doubt them. However, if both ovaries are present, then this is clearly not my fault. I chose their clinic to perform a spay procedure, and I reasonably expected that this would include complete sterilisation.

They refused this proposal and stated that their veterinarians are very experienced, that Dobby’s condition is abnormal, and that therefore it is not their responsibility.

It turns out that I took Dobby to another veterinary clinic, where the surgery was successfully completed and a second ovary was found. Dobby was never an “abnormal” cat with only one ovary — the second ovary was simply not found during the previous surgery.

As a result, Dobby had to unnecessarily endure two surgeries. If you do not want your cat to go through surgery twice, I would not recommend coming here.

I just had my cat spayed.
The vet told me my cat only has one ovary.
My cat was in heat a few days ago.
I went to another vet for a second check, and they found that she actually has two ovaries.

Initially, I planned to hold off my feedback until after my cats' dental check-up, but the exceptional care at Manchester Cat Clinic prompted an earlier review.Having visited numerous veterinary clinics, this one stands out for its meticulous attention to every detail and beyond. Their communication is excellent and welcoming, the staff are remarkable and accommodating, and the vet I met inspired great confidence in both their expertise and the well-being of my pets.Although not the most inexpensive option, the reassurance and quality of care make every cent worthwhile. Even when managing two cats by myself, they offered assistance to my car and helped manage both the cats' stress and my disabilities. It's rare to come across a vet that truly understands their clients, both human and feline, and I'm thrilled to be one of them.

Exceptional care and knowledgable cat specialists. Won’t take my cat anywhere else. Eloise was so sensitive and gentle with my Cosmo; listening to her situation and finding a quick solution. Cosmo was so stressed at other vets, but at MCC she doesn’t want to leave! The receptionists even acknowledge your cat - a small thing that shows the care. So greatful for this vets- well done to the whole team! You need to train other vets.

Today we visited the Clinic to see Eloise the Vet. We were given some Medication for our Cats Asthma. She is soo kind and explained everything we needed to do and there is no rushing with anything.

I honestly can't speak highly enough of this practice. Every member of staff is welcoming and kind. The vets and vetinary nurses take their time with my cat, they treat him beautifully. The reception staff always welcome us in such a nice way, the waiting room is a relaxing environment for cats. Moving him here is the best decision I made for him! Fantastic team

I couldn't be more pleased to have discovered this clinic. I've had negative experiences with vet clinics in the past where cats were treated roughly and unprofessionally. However when I made an appointment for my cat, Layla, the entire experience was flawless from the start. The receptionists were wonderful, I exchanged several emails with them, and they were incredibly patient and understanding. I shared that Layla gets extremely stressed during vet visits, and they suggested giving her a mild sedative to help her relax, which worked wonders.

At the clinic, Dr. Daniel was exceptional. He treated Layla with such a care and professionalism. He took the time to explain everything in detail. The follow-up phone call where he discussed Layla's blood test results was thorough and informative outlining all the options clearly. Overall it was an outstanding experience. I'm so grateful to have found this clinic, and I can't recall the last time my cat received such kind treatment.

Amazing from start to finish. Great care & attention for my old girl who I moved from a previous vet. The Manchester cat clinic is a transformative experience if you’ve ever taken anxious cats to a vet with dogs in the waiting room. The receptionists were great on the phone & in person, and our vet Dr Eloise Quince was the perfect host. No longer worried about vets visits thanks to this ace team.

After being unhappy with my other vet, I chose to take my senior cat to Manchester Cat Clinic when he became unwell after being recommended by a friend. Sadly he was too unwell and had to be put to sleep, but the team were so kind and caring throughout the whole process. They were upfront about costs with no hidden surprises. All staff treated my cat and myself with kindness and empathy including the ladies on reception who were a huge comfort when I was struggling. The vets were very quick to reply to messages when I had any questions about his palliative care and medication was made available quickly for me to collect. I am happy to support a family business and Dan and Ellie are both lovely people and fantastic vets. I was lucky enough to have 15 years with him and glad he was given the best care in his last weeks. I chose to have him put to sleep at home, but regardless they helped with arranging cremation. When the time comes for me to get another cat I will definitely register them here.

I couldn’t ask for a better Veterinarian Practice for my boy Mowgli, he came today to be neutered and microchipped. They kept me updated throughout the day with pictures, he came home like nothing happened, he was playing within 25 mins and up to mischief within the hour😂 No hidden extra costs, the care he received was perfect and so many little thoughtful extras! Thank you so much to everyone who cared and cuddled Mowgli today❤️

Manchester Cat Clinic’s meticulous care of my three elderly cats with complex medical conditions has been absolutely fantastic. In each case their care and support has helped extend their lives and their quality of life as far as possible, and greatly relieved my stress during the process as a welcome side-effect. Their commitment to getting it right for our pets really can’t be faulted. The continuity of care provided by making sure they always saw the same vet has been a huge part of this.

They are a modern surgery, with all things to help your cats relax. Feels more like a spa.
I think they work better with younger cats and need more experience with elderly cats with various conditions, My 18 year old being an example

I was intending to wait until after my cats have their dental appointment but the care and attention to detail from Manchester Cat Clinic has compelled me to review them now.

I've experienced many vets but this practice seems to have considered everything and then some. Communication is on point and friendly, staff are incredible and helpful and the vet I have seen so far was brilliant and gave me so much confidence in their ability as well as my pets heath.

They're not the cheapest but the care they give and thus peace of mind is worth every penny. Even when I was on my own with two cats I was offered help to my car and help with them being stressed and that triggering my disabilities. It's rare to find a vet that simply gets their customers of both 2 and 4 legs alike and I am incredibly pleased to be a customer
