The staff showed me directions throughout the arena helped with any questions
I was looking they were like this with everyone ! I was on my own
I felt happy safe and comfortable which ensured I had a great evening I would come back because of this !!

Health and safety what a joke ,staff have no idea and customer service rude and not concerned one bit.Extremely disabled man who couldn’t walk allowed to sit in middle of floor area ,this was not safe had there been a need to evacuate he would not have been able to get out .When he was taken ill staff had no idea how to help him out of the row and into a wheelchair luckily my family member was a trained carer and knew how to help him and I a first aider as staff had no idea what so ever .They are only interested in making money and not our safety

Been coming here for over 10 years watching concerts & shows. Never in my life have me, my girlfriend and daughter been treated so badly by the "SO CALLED" Security & Stewards than on our last visit. ( IT WAS NOTHING LESS THAN BARBARIC! ) I was literally ripped out of my seat with no explanation or reason and dragged by 4 or 5 security & Stewards out of the venue along with my girlfriend who was also dragged out whilst my daughter was crying and screaming hysterically for the Stewards to get off her mum whilst being laughed at by the Stewards. Me and my girlfriend have been left covered in bruises and my girlfriend has had part of her hair ripped out. I've read through the other reviews about this place and it seems to be the running theme and others have had similar experiences with the security & Stewards. Even if we'd of done something to warrant us being asked to leave ( WHICH WE DIDN'T ) The way the security didn't even ask us any questions and put their hand all over us and ripped us through thousands of people without explaining why was ultimately embarrassing, unjustified and massively unprofessional by every single security member & Steward that was involved!!!

If anyone has events planned at this place with friends, family or especially your children please be very careful! The security are like animals and the Stewards in the yellow polo shirts are just like little minions running around doing what the big bully security say without even know why they are doing it.

Like I said please be carful if you are going here!

Hearing the screams of my girlfriend and daughter behind me whilst being dragged out for literally doing nothing wrong and me being powerless to protect my family is something that I will never forget about for the rest of my life!

One abusive, unfriendly staff member made this an uncomfortable experience for my autistic daughter. I have emailed the venue regarding the complaint.

Cash is king couldn't buy anything inside as cashless we don't bring debit cards to events for security purposes penalised for being careful

Best arena in the UK. Queens of the Stone age gig was unreal. One of the best nights out I've ever had.

The staff at the main entrance were lovely and very polite however when we entered the main set of doors before the food hall area were the second ticket man scans your tickets he was so rude and disrespectful to us. Our tickets wouldn't scan even tho they had just been scanned from the main entrance. He kept saying that I had screenshot the tickets even tho I was using Ticketmaster app I even showed him and he still accused me of screenshot the tickets it was absolutely ridiculous. We then had to wait 10 mins to transfer the tickets from Ticketmaster to Google wallet due to the very bad 4G connection. The WiFi doesn't work in the building that seriously needs sorting too. So we then went to another ticket man and he scanned our tickets through Google wallet (it was the exact barcode as before) and it scanned so we was allowed in. Other than the rude bold ticket man with the glasses everything was great the band was brilliant, it just let it down with the way we was treated from that particular ticket man like I get he has a job to do but there is a way to speak to people. Absolutely disgusting behaviour! 😤

Main gripe is poor acoustics where vocals echo and are blurred and poor instrumentation mix. Next is the poor queuing system to the standing area and the poor bar service in that area. Also overpriced beer. Go somewhere else for a better experience.

Discgusting behaviour from stewards and security staff in the arena. 6+ grown men forcefully dragged me from my seat with no reason or explanation and flung me outside of the arena. To which a "woman" working on security found absolutely hilarious. Left covered in bruises and unable to watch the concert I paid to attend! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY COMING HERE !! Incident reported to police.

Went to see 'A Fairytale In New York' last night.

Its a while since I have been to this arena and its now looking very dated. The seating was originally designed for sports events such as ice hockey and basketball.

For other events the stage is at one end of the arena so many of the seats are not ideal as you have to sit at 45 degrees to see the stage.

The vast majority present are seated too far away from the stage to get a decent view and if no 'big screen' as last night you are just looking at little dots on the stage!

Those seated on the ground level seemed to have to come down all the steps from the top of level one, which has no hand rails, so less agile people should take note of this.

If the arena is not full it loses a good 'atmosphere' and last nights show would have been even better at a smaller venue.

Although you are indoors, expect it to be cold if visiting in winter!

Also, beware the ticketmaster 'mobile ticket system'. If it doesn't work correctly, as mine didn't, they will send you down to the booking office which takes around 30 minutes round trip so get there early!

Whilst the new Co-Op arena is not yet open its proposed layout looks much better with the stage in the centre of the ground floor area so all present will get a decent view.

Whilst transport to the arena is good, unless it is revamped I cannot see it surviving much longer.

Brilliant experience. The staff were super helpful. I had a broken ankle and had standing tickets for The Chemical Brothers. I emailed the accessability team who explained that I should get there as early as possible when doors open for suitable seating as it is a first come first served basis due to having limited accessability seating. They also sent me a form to fill in asking if I could manage steps, used a wheelchair or anything to help me move around (ie crutches).
On the day, got to the arena, was directed to Ticket Info desk were a lady swapped our tickets. Followed to the seating area we were directed to and was greeted by the most helpful and friendly member of staff. We had essentially our own little balcony with suitable seating and no steps to navigate.
Absolutley phenomenal.

All the negative feedback over the first 5 days of the Davis Cup obviously hit home. On Sunday there were plenty of volunteers around to offer advice, entry into the arena was painless, security seemed to be effective and initially there were a number of water coolers dotted around. Sadly they ran out and were not refilled whilst I was there. Overall a positive experience.

The venue is fabulous and the staff are friendly. However, the policy of not allowing and any food or drinks to be taken into the arena is purely a ploy to extort customers. £8.50 for a pint of beer and £9.00 for a small bottle of wine is daylight robbery of a captive audience. There is clearly not enough stall as the queues for beverages and food were up to 25 minutes. And just to top it all off, they ran out of all food at 5pm of the day I was there. The operators of this venue should be ashamed of there disgusting and blatant extortion of the public.

The GB Switzerland Davis Cup tennis on Friday was amazing. No complaints about that, I was thrilled to be there. The arena was anything but amazing. I got in through the Victoria Station entrance at about 1215 which was very handy. There was no queue but security was a bit chaotic. My bag was barely looked at because the security man was distracted by a colleague. Once inside, the arena staff were very nice and helpful. But as the venue doesn't allow people to take in food or drink, they should have decent catering, especially for an event that lasted 8 hours. Stupidly, I hadn't eaten beforehand and had to resort to paying nearly £14 for a small, dried out cheese sandwich and the worst coffee ever. It was early but food availability was low. Totally desperate and shambolic! I couldn't find any water later on and went home dehydrated and famished. I don't like heights so I had paid for a seat in row D at the front. But there were very steep steps down which don't have handrails. It was dangerous and I found it an ordeal getting to my seat. There are plenty of loos and they were kept very clean through the day. Overall, this arena isn't a patch on the O2 London or M&S arena Liverpool.

Attended Davis Cup which was fantastic however sone key issues :
Had a fantastic seat 2 rows from front however the steps down to the seat were very very steep. My friend found this difficult as did so many other people . No other access route .
Staff rude and unhelpful
4 people went home due to not being able to cope with the steps very well - staffs reaction was - yes they are steep !
Also very interesting re food - I adhered to the no good drinks policy but everyone around us had shopping bags full of their own food . Food for sale was ridiculous price , staff not efficient

One of the worst venues !

I too was at the GBR v Australia Davis Cup tie at the AO arena. I can only agree with others in saying how bad it was. One point that hasn't been raised yet was the fact that water fountains in the toilets were turned off, meaning that you couldn't fill your own bottles. I have written to the Davis Cup organisation explaining what happened here ( communications@itftennis dot com) suggest others do the same. This venue must not be used again for Davis Cup.

Was also at the tennis yesterday, which was great. Only managed to see all of the tennis as watched it on my mobile device whilst queuing for food and drinks. Again same experience as the others no food ate 1 bag of crisps all day once we go into the venue and no hot drinks. Not very good when my disabled daughter has to eat regularly due to taking medication with food. Also appalled once again as my daughter was asked if she needed to use the lift whilst ‘older’ people also queuing were not asked. I used inverted commas as I’m over sixty but they singled out my daughter. (not the first time either).

Davis Cup event on Wednesday 13th September, full crowd capacity, but 2/3rds of the food outlets were closed. Food ran out by 1400 and nothing to eat until 2130 when we left. Next job is to writ to LTA and ask them not to allow Davis Cup to happen in AO Arena again. Great tennis, awful venue from a customer service point of view.

Actual playing arena and views from our seats were fantastic. The tennis was terrific.

There were limited number of food outlets and varieties of food available. Very disappointing for an event that lasted over 8 hours. The queues were massive and fans missed a lot of the tennis in order to get served.

The outlets ran out of hot drinks and a lot of the snack items that were the only foodstuffs available.

I fully understand the sensitivity around security but the limitations on what could be taken into the arena meant that fans had to rely on availability of food and drink to sustain us through a long day supporting GB Tennis. The rule on bags seemed to be overlooked, I saw a number of people who had rucksacks with their own food and drink. I'm not sure how this got through security but, the rules must be applied for everyone otherwise this is unfair and could compromise security.

I do not understand why outlets could no sell water bottles with the lids on, the answer regarding hard plastic used for the lids didn't make sense and I did see people with bottles with lids, presumably brought into the venue or if not sold with lids!

I have also written to LTA to suggest that for future events they need to ensure that adequate food and drink outlets are available at any chosen venue given the length of stay at Davis Cup ties.

Loved the tennis, will be supporting again, just not at the AO Arena unless changes are made

Was at Davies Cup game yesterday and only a few food & drink outlets were open yet a decent size attendance.
Pathetic organisation by management.
Choice of miss the tennis or queue for food & drink. Couldn't get anything without queuing for more than on hour.
When people are there for 8 hours+ it needs to be better.
