The staff at Lords were really helpful, and made the purchase of my new Brother machine an absolute joy. I did a part exchange for my old machine, and the whole process took three days from px quote to an on time morning delivery by their courier who delivered the new machine and took away my used one. The service was absolutely fantastic. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I first bought a generic walking foot from Amazon for £12.99. Calling it “useless” would be unfair… to useless things. It was promptly returned and replaced with a proper branded Brother walking foot from Lords Sewing. The fact that the genuine one cost £22 more should have been my clue that “buy cheap, buy twice” is less a saying and more a prophecy.

The Brother walking foot from Lord’s Sewing worked beautifully. Absolute dream. Perfect stitches, no drama, no swearing under my breath at tangled fabric. Bliss.

Fast forward two weeks and I decided to use it again… except I couldn’t find it anywhere. I searched every drawer, bag, box, shelf and mysterious “safe place” I’ve ever invented. On the plus side, I did rediscover my wooden turning tool, proving once again that lost items operate on a strict one-in, one-out policy.

Eventually I accepted defeat and returned to Lord’s Sewing to order another walking foot. While browsing, the search results somehow included a Brother sewing machine. To be fair, it came with a free Creative Quilt Kit which included… yes… a walking foot. And I’m only human — if there’s a freebie involved, rational financial decisions immediately leave the building.

I ordered the machine on Thursday 21st May and it arrived today, 23rd May. Brilliant service and incredibly fast delivery from Lords Sewing.

Now comes the truly embarrassing part.

I unpacked the new machine and decided to use the empty box to store my old Brother machine. Before packing it away, I opened the accessory compartment to remove any thread and — you already know where this is going — there it was. The original walking foot. Sitting exactly where a sensible, organised person would have put it.

Sadly, my organisational skills consist of two competing brain cells:

1. “Put it somewhere safe and sensible.”
2. “Shove it in a random bag and deal with it later.”

Normally Brain Cell #2 wins, and honestly, had I listened to it this time I’d probably have found the thing days ago. Instead I trusted Brain Cell #1 and paid the price.

Still, thanks to Lords Sewing’s excellent service, I now own:

* one perfectly good walking foot,
* one surprise second walking foot,
* a lovely new sewing machine,
* and the humbling realisation that my biggest sewing obstacle is not my machine… it’s me.

Fantastic service, genuine products, super-fast delivery, and apparently dangerous for anyone prone to impulse purchases involving “free” accessories.

Ordered a part for my machine from Lords, unfortunately Royal Mail lost the parcel so I contacted Lords directly. They were so apologetic and helpful and replaced the parcel immediately, even though it wasn’t their fault. I won’t hesitate in ordering from them again as the item came the very next day. Great friendly customer service and prices are really competitive too. I would highly recommend this company.

Purchased an Inovis A50 needle threader replacement online. Once it arrived I followed the video they have which is very handy, was having difficulty so telephoned. Spoke to someone who quickly resolved the problem and I now have an automatic needle threader working again. Price was great, delivered on time. Thank you so much for your patience I will be using your shop again.

So impressed with the attention to detail and the customer service. I came away with a machine that looks like new and the confidence that all the problems I had been experiencing were rectified.

I highly recommend any one using a Brother Machine and in need of a service or help with any problem to get in touch they are so friendly and helpful.

I have had problem for some time using the larger hoops on my Brother V7.

No matter what design or fabric, no mater what stabilisers or wash away I used I just couldn’t stitch out a full pattern all the way through. This only happened using the two larger hoops the small hoops were fine.

The only way to explain it was as though my machine hoop was bumping into something and the stitches just went off the pattern but it definitely wasn’t bumping into anything.

I had a chat with staff and they suggested I send in a video of what was happening. I did this and after seeing the video they asked me to sent the embroidery carriage to them.

Within a few days I had a lovely phone call to tell me they have sorted and replaced a part and it’s now stitching 100%.

I was amazed and couldn’t believe it after all this time it’s like have a new embroidery machine.

I took in my Brother machine this morning fearing the worst since a horrible jammed and broken needle incident. It was evaluated, tested and fixed in about 20 minutes. And no charge! Outstanding.

Without a doubt best company I have dealt with. Lords' team are wonderful. Delivery within 48 hours maximum. Very helpful service, owns your problem and will try their utmost to sort it - no problem is too difficult for them. Just brilliant and wouldn't go past them for orders.

I’d researched a machine but still had a few questions, Kirsty was fantastic - very knowledgable, helpful and honest. She listened to me and understood my what I needed, all of my queries were answered quickly and nothing seemed like too much trouble

I ended up purchasing a machine & accessories, delivery was prompt and I was kept informed of the progress. Even afterwards I rang for some advice (user error!) and again Kirsty was brilliant.

Amazing, speedy service! Knowledgeable and able to provide support for correct use of my sewing machine. I took my sewing machine in midday on Monday and got a phone call to say it had been completed less than a day later! My sewing machine was returned in immaculate condition and service was outstanding, I wouldn’t take it anywhere else!

Fantastic service from Lords - Kirsty couldn't have been more helpful when the model I originally wanted wasn't in stock. There was no hard sell of other models, just useful advice and in the end I did choose an alternative. My machine and a bonus starter pack of supplies arrived within 3 days with a lovely hand written note. I couldn't be more happy with the service I received (especially after having had a bad experience with a different supplier) and would definitely recommend Lords to others looking for a sewing or embroidery machine. I'll certainly be using them again for anything I need in the future.

Ordered a fairly basic Brother sewing machine from Lords, and was surprised to see it turn up at miday the next day. It was well packed, and arrived safely. First impressions are that it's a considerable improvement on the 70s lump it replaced. Thanks Lords, and it's a pleasure to buy from a small family firm rather than a giant multinational.

Delighted! This is i think the third time I’ve placed an online order with Lords... spent more each time... this was my 40th birthday treat to self, not that they were to know.
